The Scarab 215 isn't traditionally known for its surf wake, but with some tweaking to weight distribution and ballast, we've been able to make improvements. What is WAKE SURFING? Wakesurfing is a water sport in which a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat's wake without being directly pulled by the boat. After getting up on the wake, typically by use of a tow rope, the wakesurfers will drop the rope, and ride the steep face below the wave's peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing. Wakesurfers generally use special boards, designed specifically for wakes.

Interesting 🤔. I’ve only ridden behind a jet boat once👆. I’ve got a few questions I’m hoping you can help me with - what are you using for speed control? Do you think a jet boat with no built in factory ballast would be able to throw a wave like this with just people on board?

Our 2019 Scarab 215 ID WAKE Edition has the Digital Speed Control Package (SKI, ECO, Docking mode) and we initially started with the SKI mode option and had it set to 10mph (unfortunately you only does increments of +/- 1mph and there is no option to adjust to tenths) but found over time that we could best control the speed with one hand on the throttle lever and usually the speedometer read about 9.8 - 10mph. Still a work in progress. As for creating a wake without factory ballast, the more weight (people, gear, after market ballast bags) the better.

This is a “wake” edition Boat???? Wow. That’s barely even moving the water. I’m surprised you can stay in that pocket at all
