I'm confused..... so is Rapaport saying OBJ isn't a great football player..?? I mean I've never been the biggest fan of OBJ but I can recognize great talent when it's there. His stats and the eye test speak for themselves. In the 4 full seasons he played he had 365 reception, 5,174yds, 41 TD's.... and everyone knew he was getting the ball. 91 receptions, 1,294yds and 10 TD's a season is pretty great to average. I don't think he was the pickup we really needed but I'm excited to see what happens. You don't have to be a fan of his but you can't act like he isn't one of the top WR's in the game the last 5 seasons.

He went 7-7, we're not taking the Jets win away from him because he didn't start that game. Also, his team lost 5 games due to kicking issues, with 3 of those being in OT and his team led the league in drop percentage. Baker played a winning season of football and his team didn't hold up their end of the bargain, same as what happened with Matt Ryan last year.

Well Michael, Baker did set the Rookie record for TD's, so he actually did accomplish something.
Context matters...such as a rookie td records set while in meaningless decided games does not mean as much as setting the records while going into the playoffs or in close games where that td throw gets you a win....which is why also manning's rooking td record doesn't mean as much when its a 3-13 season and you throw 25 ish picks to go with it or something like that. Best thing Giants ever did was trade beckham, now cleveland can have the problem...overpaid wide receiver that has played little more then one season over the last two. Giants were idiots to pay him the contract that he got to begin with.
