Josh, 4 Months ago, you had a 6 Month goal of losing ~45 pounds (220 something -> 180) by April 1 (for your birthday & baby’s due date). You were so excited…walking, walking, walking and said (on multiple occasions) that you wanted to be held Accountable.
In the spirit of Accountability & Transparency…how is the weight loss going? How is the exercise going? Accountability, we’re pulling for you!!

As a truck driver… I appreciate how fun you make the job look…. Man, 600 miles is a long haul and it’s actually really hard to make that haul… I applaud you for being so positive at the end of the video. After 600 miles I’m grumpy and salty! Lol time for bed and no nonsense. You’re awesome trucker Josh--/ from Trucker Jake

Nice long ride along today... Life is good! Like you, I too miss Diesel riding shotgun next to you on the road. It's better that he stays at home -- besides, he's retired from trucking and deserves to relax at home.

Yup, the truck I drive froze up on Monday @-35 C. No filter in the truck and the owner is selling it so doesn't want to spend any money. Lucky it was coming into a small city and a shop was available. Just over a $500 bill for the tow and primary fuel filter, several hours of downtime and 3 drops in other towns didn't get done that day. Glad I get paid by the hour🤔

Poor Diesel, it's sad when our pets age. We can't talk to them, or comfort them the way they need. And they probably don't understand what's happening. Glad you have "your" spot(s) LOL I'll be sure not to take your spot the next time I'm at that truck stop! Take Care!

I had a dog that when it got older would shake a lot and I have know a few other dogs, friends dogs that when they got older would do the same thing. A vet told me that my dog had cataracts and was close to being blind and was probably shaking because he was scared at what was going on around him and not being able to see to protect himself.
you may want to get your dog a physical and check his hearing and sight.

As a company driver who is mechanically inclined and actually knows how to replace filters, belts, and alternators. Big thing with most large company’s, I’d say 100+ trucks, is they do not want you doing repairs. Especially repairs like those cause, other than the filter, it’s all under warranty. So they won’t give you those parts and would not be very happy if you did do it. Just a thing to remember and hopefully know many of us company folks actually do care but our hands are tied by rules. 😢😅 Love the videos

One thing that I noticed and still amazes me is how technology is so helpful, Trucker Josh can ask his phone the sun rises and sun sets in different part of the country and in an INSTANT he gets the knowledge! What makes me wonder is, in the old time of yester years of let's say the 50's & 60's know this information of the timing of sun rises and sets to stay within the guidlines of regulations. Or maybe there were no regulations and people could drive oversized loads all night?

Sounds like Diesel could be losing his hearing. You ever dealt with a deaf dog and when you bump their bed they become very startled. It's much like that. He is living in a much quieter world so when his senses are activated like movement and bumps it startles and scares him.

  • @stevenperry9826

Real shame about Diesel, i was thinking on your last trip with him he really didn't seem happy, have you had his eye sight checked, with all the light poles and trees going past in his periphery if hes eye sight is failing it might be causing his panic attacks? Just a thought.

Good video Josh. A couple things to clarify, the reason it gets daylight later as you cross Ontario is the curvature of the world. It will get day light later in Nipigon but stay daylight later than north bay. Also, filling your tanks with ice cold fuel just before idleing all night is not nearly as safe as fueling a few hours ahead allowing the fuel to heat up while the truck is pulling down the highway. The return fuel flow at idle verses operating is only about 10%. Enjoy your night.. stay warm

Josh, fuel gelling, is the paraffin coming out of solution in the Diesel fuel, with the cold. It does plug the filters wonderfully.
Water in Diesel, from a truck stop, is almost as rare as hens teeth.

Back in the day when I drove we had our own diesel tank in the ground and it would get lots of condensation resulting in water in the fuel

    • @carlthor91
      @carlthor91 Год назад +1

@@marcsportsvideo464 In truck-stops the fuel is rotated through into trucks at a rate that pulls most of it through. Plus ALL new ones have double wall fiberglass tanks, which also cuts condensation, besides serving as secondary containment, and water filter/separators that are absolutely huge, think 1 foot diameter by 3 to 4 feet high, in the largest cases. Plus new trucks have better water separator/filters these days.
Do an online search for large fuel filters/separators, you will see there is a large number of manufacturers/models out there.
Between mining jobs in the early 80's I worked on trucks.
