1:18:35 Matt and Max just gloss over Justin's question, and Justin is right. Do all leakers carry crappy old phones to snap pictures or record video? Modern iPhone and Android phones have decent cameras, would expect the pictures and videos to be a bit nicer than those crappy leak captures.
The only excuse I can think of, why the pictures are always so blurry has to because they're taking a photo while walking. So probably the leaker walked passed the monitor or desk that had all the launch characters laid out.
@@TheFirehands150 Likely it's for protection for the leaker or the leaker's source. Some companies might have clever unique watermarks or secretly identifiable colors/items in the pictures released to non-devs like marketing people. So if the picture is shitty or less clear, blurry in some places, that's the message I'm getting, the source is insecure over identification for them to leak out a clearer image.
Thank you Justin, Matt, and Maximilian for this episode focusing on SF6. Hopefully this entry in to the franchise will provide what casual games have been asking for out of a fighting game and that's single player replay value outside of the standard arcade ladder related items that most fighting games provide. As a huge fan of SF3 and SF0 games, here's to hoping that SF6 will live up to these monumental tent poles of the SF franchise. Looking forward to watching the in-depth coverage that your three expert opinions will provide for SF6.
Max always overestimates how hard basic SFV combos are for most people Just linking light attacks took me a long time to even get like half of the time
I dunno if its just me, but Justins mic crackles from time to time. Its nothing major and i'm not completely sure if its just me, but its been prevalent since the first episode. Love you guys. thanks for giving me more content to consume!
I love the dynamic and viewpoints of these 3 guys Justin is the veteran tourney player, Max is in the middle being the man who loves every meta/mechanic aspect of fight games but not in the fgc circle. Then Matt being the guy who loves the lore and story/character stuff of fighting games. SF6 is gunna be a knockout for all 3 of these guys i know it
I can't wait for part 2. I'm always down for a new Street Fighter, so of course I'd be excited for 6, but I'm seeing so many people, people who have long left the series behind or never touched the title get excited for this. It's exciting to see Capcom winning back folks, listening to feedback and trying to break ground. The obvious increase in budget and careful planning of it all is already paying off. I LOVE that we're finally past 3rd strike timelinewise and, as a HUGE lore fan, I'm excited to see what the story is as a result. The return to an Urban aesthetic and turning it up to 11 is a really nice change, the return of having access to whatever super or level 3 is great (I spent so much time in alpha, so being forced to select between options at the select screen for a years got to me), and single player content has me more excited than I've been in a while. If you haven't read the translated IGN Japan interview with the devs, I highly recommend it. It goes into the huge scope of the 3 modes - World Tour isn't just an extra, they're treating development like they're working on 3 games. I have high hopes for World Tour, I wanna run into Q in an alley in Metro City or during a thunderstorm in London. If my boy's not in this, I hope I can make a decent imitation in create a character hah. Cheers guys, see you next week!
They're going all in on create a character. Likely replaces grooves / super choice, letting you make a minor variation on the static core roster. Look how much they made on skins in SF5. This model lets them push that more and eventually drop the entry price. (Free-to-play version drops later with no single player campaign.)
I actually had a theory where the you will have a choice to choose who your teacher is in the free roam game mode, and you could choose between any of the 4 characters that are playable in the sf6 demo you all played. it would explain where those cutscenes came from, maybe Chun's cutscene, Ryu's and Luke's at the start are just their character introductions you get to see based on the character you chose, and you can get their basic moveset to start with as well
yooooo theres actually some merit to that cause of the Chun thing at 1st i thought it was Chun training her daughter Li Fen to replace her in future games but training the player would be awesome im 90% sure its Li Fen but man im pulling for getting trained by a fighter cause that shit would be awesome
Luke being our master would be weird. That’s like Dan levels of Dunning-Krueger effect… “look kid, yer learning from the best, trust me…” and that’d be hilarious.

What I personally think would be cool is if completing world tour mode missions, you can win alternate skins for the Street Fighter roster characters. That way people will play it more to earn skins for their favorite characters
How have you guys not picked up on this yet: the single player *is* Final Fight. What else do you call a game where you traverse Metro City fighting your way up the hierarchy of the Mad Gear Gang?

I lost it when Matt mentioned about DSP & LTG commentary. It'd say "Get that ass banned" at the end of every round or "I was blocking, come onnnnnnn!" whenever you get thrown.
The possibilities are really exciting with this game. . While I agree we don't need a super expensive shiny story mode I'm not gonna turn my nose up at one. The story just has to actually be good and feel natural. Basically the opposite of marvel vs Capcom infinites story lol. That felt sooooo forced
