Welcome! As is so far, this hack's already been a fun time so far! For chase music... I'd give my two cents in regards to suggestions: Either the Mystery Box theme from Super Mario 3D Land, or the second half of the "Hurry Up" music from Donkey Kong '94.
Well right now, nothing special, although i did the ask the one who made this mod and he told me that me might ask his friend who rendered the spooky luigi sprites to also make the Spooky Mario sprites.
god, because of how luigi moves towards you at a fixed distance, whenever luigi is present i get startled when mario suddenly runs towards the right of the screen because it makes luigi absolutely haul ass onto the screen
it literally is, colorless coins act like blood rings and decress your coin count, and instead of needing monitors (the only thing that is useful in sonic games aside from rings) you use blocks n power ups
And what happens if you die from wegee? I cant try the rom cause it wont work on my emulator, neither pc or android (I know the file is a patch, but i've tried with like 10 different roms of 3 different regions and none work)
I can confirm it's a bit anticlimatic, it just gives you an instant death, regardless of powerup state. By powerup state though I mean all of them, even if you have a star he kills you instantly.
@@RainbwSpctrm damn kinda underwhelming, but the rom is very eerie with that weird sound everytime you go to the grey dimension and the luigi sprite is really well done, thanks
@@RainbwSpctrm, could have the P-switch theme when Luigi is chasing you, considering what this rom is based on (you know, an Ordinary Sonic Rom hack?)
@@lethalinjection145 If you're on an earlier version like I currently am, a funny scenario happens where Luigi gets chased by an evil clone of himself. Newer versions though add a bloodied up Mario that'll chase Luigi!
I want to say "Yes" but I didn't develop this hack. In the world of creepypasta though I can imagine there's many ways Luigi could've become _that_ abomination
Assumimg 3DS, prolly just a matter of patching the ROM on your PC and putting the patched ROM onto your SD card and using either a flashcart or Twilight Menu.
There's something about Luigi being 2D here that gives me a strange feeling. Most enemies are 2D, except for ones like bosses (or dry bones, which seems more like an animation convenience thing). Mario and Peach are also 3D. But Luigi? He's 2D, deemed not important enough to get a full model. Maybe that's made him bitter
Funny enough I got caught up on this too, and I've been patching games for awhile. TLDR, this doesn't use an IPS patch, it uses an xdelta patch; you'll need DeltaPatcher to patch the ROM.
@@RainbwSpctrm That makes me wonder. What differs xdelta from ips? Had played a whack 'em xdelta hack before where not only it replaces the protag with shovel knight, but has the entire SK soundtrack not in the traditional music hack, plays exactly like the original SK (i dont know how to describe that easily.)

I'd say the silence adds to the horror. The fact it's just nothing but silence as Luigi gets closer and closer to killing you.

You could probably run on a homebrew 3DS honestly, though I haven't tried that myself
