No, it's not. This is basically half of the vtubers that i watch, namely Bao and Yuzu. Before they became beyond unhinged they were fairly seiso before they went full mask off.
Chibi im not gonna lie ive been going through a pretty bad and stressfull time since october and your daily vids really help bring my mood up, just wanted to let you know that i really appreciate you.
The outfits are definitely symbolic, everyone who isn't a vtuber (including her past self working 9-5 in flashback) is a brown cardboard cutout, whereas the vtubers she meets up with are all in their avatar costumes, horns, wings and all... and I found that very appropriate to vtuber culture. When I think of a bunch of vtubers meeting offline I can only imagine them as their avatars chatting as they do onscreen since that's the only visual association I have for them (mostly). I think it's symbolic of the psychological gap between the NPC life of normal folks and the world of the vtubers.
I just witnessed a VTuber anime character say that she was gooning to another VTuber anime character and it might honestly be the most peak anime moment I have ever witnessed in my god damn life.
I was shocked at how dated it feels. Many things in the episode have been common in many Vtubers for years, I can't think of one Vtuber who doesn't drink/act drunk on stream casually
Has anyone seen that the VA for Awayuki did a cover of Stellar Stellar? It's up on RUclips. They're going all in. And finally, someone with a larger audience talking about this!
About the question you had towards the end. Well the Vtuber and model looking the same is an allegory for Vtubers having their avatar being their persona while their real face like usually stays hidden a while i think. Its also makes it quite easier to track of her by doing so
ok I clicked on the thumbnail of the video at the end of another video and I had no idea it was a chibi video, so when his face just randomly appeared i actually busted out laughing
7:30 this part here will become clearer when you watch ep 2, but yes, it is the art direction and its not that she's actually cosplaying as her character IRL, the anime just portrays her IRL self as also the Vtuber.
LMAO I will never forget that V-tuber that everybody thought was a girl started to talk about how he didn't like Mountain Dew because can shrink his shlong then realized it was recording and changed the subject and started to play guitar. Thanks Chibi I just added this one to my list
Point for point this show is on point. From the comedy, yabeness and seisoness of everything. They even used actual rigged L2D models and also there’s a Live-On channel with actual L2D vtuber model that they used to promote their LN
I am pretty sure, that her wearing the outfit means exactly what you sayed. At first it did felt strange, but after it was showed that she is in her outfit all the time, that is what came to my mind as well.
Eventually? I'd say some never did Silvervale has her lore videos, but sometimes someone in chat will remind her and she might be reminded of something in her lore
7:15 I watched the first two episodes of this anime. I thought that it was fun, but I will likely not continue watching (a lot of stuff to watch). As for your question. It seems to me this anime is more about the virtual character more than the person behind it. They do talk about the person behind it, but the main point of a VTuber is that you don't know who the person behind it is like. Unless they wanted to go in behind the scenes in the VTuber industry, I don't see why they would need to show the person behind the character. That is a mystery, and they will likely keep it that way.
I watched the episode, and it felt very uncanny. I can easily think of several Vtubers who stream as their human, as in they switch between using their avatar and actual camera, others casually show pictures of their real person with the face covered by their avatar's, or at least talk about their life as something besides their avatar. And I can only think of one (wait, scratch that, I think she overtly drank on stream) Vtuber who doesn't drink on stream or at least act drunk on stream It feels dated, maybe by a few years
It is a style choice. She IS her character. So when she goes out in the real world, we the viewers are the only ones who see her as her VTuber character. Everyone in her world sees her as she really is when she goes out. We see her as her character to protect her true identity from us, the viewers.
I thought it was a real headline on the news, it was just Chibi promoting this anime. haha. Ngl I am also gonna add it to my watchlist wih My Deer Friend Nokotan and Alya Russian.
I looked into vtubing. Getting the low basic equipment and a programmer/designer to make the character. Low ball is about 1500. No real movement/Quick faceplates. Someone lik Nuxtaku prolly spent 5-10k perhaps
Hey Chibi do you have the elusive samurai on your radar? I thought the first 2 episode were super cool but not tooo many people talking about it! Great vid
Funfact this story probably got reference from real Vtuber her name is Otoghibara era from Nijisanji JP, shes a seiso in the first and then be a like gremlin just like the MC of this anime, the different is Otoghibara era be like that because of game Getting over it 😂
As somewan who has considered V-tubeing or png tubeong, it's a pain creating and riging the model. Have never created 1 myself, but it feals like a long and hard process from the tutorials I've looked at.
Spoiler warning just in case* 7:07 the second episode kinda shows how her life was before she became a Vtuber looking like everyone else if you know what I mean. I do believe they did this on purpose to emphasize that Vtuber persona and how Vtubers are just regular everyday people until they place themselves in front of the camera. I feel that they just kept the designs the same as their Vtuber persona since they are still anonymous to the rest of the world irl and that we the audience are seeing their everyday life without knowing their real identity if you know what I mean.
I love this type of localizations that still confer same meaning with slang and I think it should be encouraged. You should cringe because, at the end of a day, it was made cringe.
my theory is that she doesnt look like that at all and its literally her model coz the other vtubers are the same too. i think well have the reveal if she ever gets cancelled and has to stop being a vtuber. but thats just an early theory i watched the first episode 10mins ago lol
This has to be streamers worst nightmare
lol this is some female vtubers
No, it's not. This is basically half of the vtubers that i watch, namely Bao and Yuzu. Before they became beyond unhinged they were fairly seiso before they went full mask off.
Giving out animes that relate to Vtubers is already a fun concept
Indeed it is
Wtf, no matter where I go I see you. It's scarry how similar the content we watch is.

It is better than that Kizuna anime.😅
As a vtuber fan i have never felt more understood yet so called out at the same time 🤣🤣🤣

My exact reaction 😂.
Bro it's Bao the anime. She even has the blue hair.
Fr she’s almost as unhinged as Bao
Needs more werewolf
So, basically she's the Japanese version of Otachan.

Project melody the anime?
By how unhinged she sounds, it's more like Bao LMFAO
@@ItsJaySilva maybe it’s because I watch mostly hololive, but she reminds me of Marine.

Thank you so much bro
Ayane Sakura probably had a blast voicing this XD (btw she's the voice of Ochako)
and a lot more like Gabi, Fiona, Ran, Orio, and many many more
All the vtubers gotta be introduced to this lol

First episode got me addicted. Funny and charismatic and somewhat relatable. This anime went straight to my top 5 of this season right now.
I just witnessed a VTuber anime character say that she was gooning to another VTuber anime character and it might honestly be the most peak anime moment I have ever witnessed in my god damn life.
2nd episode felt more like a commercial disguised as an episode.
I mean if Lamy-chan would tells us which beer is her favorite I bet her stream would be like just like the episode xD
Watched the first 2 episodes of this one. It's very fun it'll probably be one of my comfort shows this season
Totaly normal vtuber right here y see nothing wrong
YOU NEED TO SEE EP 2
If you watch vtubers and see how some of them act on stream you will not be shocked at all im more surprised how accurate this is 😂
As a Hololive fan I confirm this
@@machinronii same

This shits funny asf, i dont know why it has such a low score

i’m gonna watch this anime once it’s fully dubbed.
I can’t imagine how unhinged it could possibly be if the sub is like this
"I'm your mommy, but I'm gooning to your stream" oh god
If the quality doesnt drop off, this is gunna be my comedy fav this year.
I hate Crunchyroll subs so much it's unreal.
I'm glad I can watch the official anime on RUclips thanks to the like of Muse Asia and Ani-one.
Has anyone seen that the VA for Awayuki did a cover of Stellar Stellar? It's up on RUclips. They're going all in. And finally, someone with a larger audience talking about this!
It's amazing, I belive the voice actress had a blast voicing this.
oh MAN wait tell he watches episode two, he's gonna FREAK, especially the end of it
Yup, it'll REALLY drive it home.
Everyone knows that Vtubers don't wear pants when streaming.

Except I know one that I'm sure does (they've specifically said it many times) and at least one other that I'm fairly sure about
Wtf did I just read in the subs?

I wonder how many retakes the VA had to do for those scenes. No way a person can keep a straight face while saying, "I'm g**ning to your stream"
