To be fair, if you interpret the placement of the parentheses, it is totally fine to put them in various positions... So (2+3)*(6-5), 2+(3×6)-5 and so on...

11x10 and 11x11 are trippy to me because they don’t follow the pattern and can’t be flipped. Like for 11x12 I would flip it and do 12 times 10 is 120 plus 12 is 132. But when I see 11x10 my brain always wants to go 111 because of the pattern and when I see 11x11 my brain always goes 22 no wait what how do I and then shuts down for a second. Its like it goes to look for a reference in order to do the math, but because I don’t know 11x10 or 11x12 off the top of my head it can’t find one and doesn’t know where to start so it just stops trying

that was my technique during 3rd grade to memorize the multiplication table lol
School doesn’t do a great job at teaching kids the tricks to doing mental math more easily. Can get the answer in a second just by doing 11x10=110 (just add a 0 to the 11) and then add 11 on top of that to get 121
In the school I studied in they made us memorize the power of numbers up to 25. I actually thought people memorized them too until this game came out.

BEDMAS doesn’t always have the same abbreviation in different countries. Some use PEDMAS, BODMAS, or PEMDAS instead. Might be why you couldn’t remember

Yep. Division and multiplication are interchangeable, whichever comes first, and the same applies to addition and subtraction.

The way I was taught how to do it is first you add the front and back number first, then put the result in the middle
For example 15 x 11, you add 1+5, which is six, and put it in between 1 and 5, so the result is 165

I use tricks to evaluate multiplications by 9 and 11, because they are both one number away from 10, and multiplying by 10 is the easiest thing to do.
So for 9s, anything multiplied by 9 is equal to that number multipled by 10 minus that number (e.g. 7 x 9 = 7 x 10 - 7 = 63), and for 11s instead of subtracting, I add that number (e.g. 7 x 11 = 7 x 10 + 7 = 77).
11 is easy though, because it’s just the same number twice. 11 x 1 = 11
11 x 2 = 22
11 x 3 = 33
11 x 4 =44
11 x 5 = 55
This applies up until 11 x 9 = 99

9 times tables up to at least 100 was made simple for me because my teacher back then told me a trick. If you use your fingers, and lower them in the right order, it'll give you the answer. ...the way I worded that sounds dumb but for example, if you want to find out what 9 times 5 is, you hold up all your fingers, then lower your pinky on your left hand (your fifth finger), then count the amount up to the lowered finger (so 4) and then after the lowered one (all 5 on your right hand is raised), so it's 45! And if you want, say, 9 x 9, you lower the pointer finger on your left hand, count the ones before it (8) and then the ones after (1), so it's 81 :D been using it for many years o/

They excel in other regions like entertainment, singing, voice acting, languages ect which i find more useful and inspiring
To multiply a 2-digit number by 11, you simply have to write the two digits and insert their addition in the middle:
11x11 = 121 (because 1+1 = 2)
34x11 = 374 (because 3+4 = 7)
86x11 = 946 (because 8+6 = 14, so you have to add 1 to the leading 8 and insert the 4)

Yesterday, after proving all properties of addition and multiplication on natural numbers from Peano axioms, I decided to do something relaxing, but ended up calculating 3 x 9 = 18, exactly what happened in this clip.
