*To live a better life, the Stoics offered us timeless principles that guide us toward inner peace, resilience, and purpose. These 10 Stoic rules for living are more than guidelines-they are a path to mastering life’s inevitable challenges with grace. First, focus only on what you can control and release the rest. Second, embrace discomfort as a pathway to growth. Third, practice gratitude daily, recognizing the value in both small and large blessings. Fourth, live according to your values, not others’ expectations. Fifth, cultivate inner strength and be resilient in adversity. Sixth, seek wisdom through reflection and learning. Seventh, practice moderation, balancing desire and restraint. Eighth, respond with calm rather than anger, understanding that emotions are within your power to govern. Ninth, pursue humility, recognizing that each of us is part of a greater whole. Tenth, cherish the present, for it is the only time truly within your reach. By living according to these rules, you’re not just surviving-you’re building a life of fulfillment, authenticity, and peace.*

I find it teaches me that I'm the only one who is actually control of my emotions so I can avoid spiraling downward. It reminds me to practice focusing on my response to this chaotic world.
