Ta, Dez. Agree that the mini mascaras are better. For me, the YSL Lash Clash is Va-voom. No undereyes at the end of the day. Better than Sex? Well…it just isn’t lol. Primer, the CT invisible UV primer (just watch for the expiration date). I just use LE skin tint but I stopped going in the sun in my 30’s when I saw Joan Collins in a restaurant in California. That skin! Agree with you re CT powder. I want to try those eyeshadows. I have been using an old CT quad Mesmerizing Maroon as it really pops my eyes but…it is old. Oh and the eyebrow pencil YSL in taupe no. 4 is the only one does not turn orange on my pale ash eyebrows. Just turned 75. For some reason it bothered me but now? Well, just another day that came and went and ‘Tis a privilege to be here. Happy New Year!

Loving the channel - am a recent subscriber. On the primer side, I rate the Laura Geller primers - the spackle hydrate and the glow one in particular. They give a lovely moist base that takes the powder foundation well. And the best brush for the Laura Geller powder of all my brushes - even the LG ones- is the giant IT Cosmetics giant heavenly luxe powder #1. If you already have that brush then give it a go!
I'll be turning 65 next year and have just found your channel. I'm so happy that I did!! I was thisclose to giving up on makeup totally with the exception of mascara and lippie. I couldn't seem to find the right anything for myself and I kind of cried a bit because I absolutely adore makeup, skincare etc. I was so tired of wasting money and I'm on such a tight budget it just wasn't worth getting myself tied up in knots about it. Then I found your channel. Thank you so much for the mix of high end and drug store products and in this video will be a massive help the next time I'm out at the shops. I'm constantly on the hunt for a great undereye concealer. I'm now using an inexpensive Rimmel concealer. It's not bad, but not perfect. There's a really pretty powder blush by Rare Beauty in Cheeky. Unfortunately, I dropped it the 1st time I used it. Ugh. Like you, I'm over big shadow palettes. I prefer shadow sticks or a small eyeshadow palette. The Shroom shadow looks beautiful. It Cosmetics has some nice shadow sticks and equally as nice, Colourpop. I'm glad that you like the new CT Mascara. It was a fail for me. Thanks for sharing your 2024 favorites! Sending hugs!💜 PS How do you "wipe off" a mascara to avoid clumps?...such a silly question, I know... but i am trying to envision it🤔🤪. My fave mascara of 2024 is recent discovery, Merit's Clean Lash. I am just loving it ... glides on, no clumps, minimalist look with a single swipe and buildable for a bit more of a fluttery lash...& best of all very minimal flaking by the end of the day.
I am using Hour Glass brow pencil in the colour ash . I don’t put it on thick and I use the brush the sheer it out a bit . It’s a great colour for grey or just cool coloured brown hair . I know lots of lady’s that really like it
LOL - re wiping off, I think what's meant is wiping the brush onto the rim of the container, before you apply the mascara, so ensuring the brush isn't as saturated and thereby hopefully avoiding clumping on application - and hoping the residue will somehow find its way back into the container, thereby not wasting any 😉 Merit's sounds a bit like the LE Kitten Lash - also minimalist, and actually the Maybelline Sky High is quite like that too, with its rubber brush. I would definitely try a powder brow product, or use a single shadow - so much more choice of shades and you might find one that suits. Hugs to you to, dearest friend ❤️❤️❤️

After many years of trying to find a blusher which suited me I came across Clinique Chubby sticks and oh my...... beautifully creamy, lovely range of colours and blend in with fingers creating a really natural blush across the cheeks. Highly recommend and not ridiculously expensive :)
I tried Dior and Lancome lash primers, prefer the Lancome. But for really WOW lashes, I use Bobby Brown Smokey Lash (first) + Ilia Limitless Lash. I am 73 and this combo gives me a very lashy look.
I love the Westman Atelier blush in Dou Dou! I picked up the RMS Lip2Cheek cream, but the color was gone from my cheeks in a couple of hours. I really want to like RMS so i haven't given up yet!
Sephora does a good pencil which works for my pale ash brows and my white hair - in the shade Neutral Gray Brown. Very affordable too. If someone in the US wants a similar palette to the Naked 3 - Ulta has a palette called Blushing Blooms, at the amazing price of $14 (on sale from $20). The colors are all mauve/rose/neutral. Still waiting for the Lisa Eldridge liquid shadow to come back into stock in the color I want (as well as the shadow stick from Victoria Beckham.

I like the Fenty concealer very much. I also like the Tower 28 concealer and the Kosas. But I regularly use Drmtlgy Luminous Eye Corrector Spf 41.. it's great!
Thank you - the Drmtlgy is on my list! I have a feeling Tower 28 may have fragrance, but I'll check. I used to have a Kosas concealer, although I bought the wrong shade, it was a bit too warm - but I remember liking the coverage.

I don't have any luck with Elf cream or liquid blushes. They apply too patchy on my 66 yr old skin.. I Just purchased ABH stick blusher and I'm hoping I'll have more success.

Hope you get to Sephora, my personal favorite from them this year is the Merit foundation stick, I find it very easy and nice on my dry skin. I think you first told us about the Hour Glass brow pencil Dez 🤔not sure but I think so . Anyway it’s my favourite. My second favourite is a Tom Ford brow pencil in taupe, It’s not cheap but lasts forever plus comes with a refill !!!!
Hey Dez, congrats on the 20K! I also use the Charlotte Tilsbury powder under and eyes and in my tzone. I find it helps with the shine and smooths out my skin without making my skin look dry. Because of your recommendation I am using the Lash Paradise primer. I find I can use almost any drugstore concealer and get great looking lashes. I have recently started using a setting spray. I like how it makes my makeup look at the end of the day. Have you ever tried a setting spray. Perhaps you could do a video comparison on them? Hi Dez you really must try the CT Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer (the one with the doe foot NOT the awful sponge-tipped Magic Away). You might also like to try the Beautiful Skin Foundation (the one in the tube) - it’s a million miles away from her other heavier mattifying foundations ❤

Hi! You could try the mulac (an italian medium cost brand) fix the chaos eye primer, for me and my oily eyelids it's great! And i don't know if you have tried the nars smudgeproof eyeshadows base that its very loved on youtube but i haven't tried yet. Wish you a happy new year🎉!
Sunscreen! It's an every day must for anyone wanting to avoid brown age spots, wrinkles, and rough areas. I got 2 fraxel laser treatments in 2024, and started a strict regime of sunscreen every day, even if staying indoors all day. So ..... I recommend Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen spf 50 as a primer. It has a lovely powdery gel texture. It's matte and has no detectable white cast, and no fragrance. Makeup goes on perfectly with it. I will be going in for another laser treatment in January 2025, and you can believe I am protecting my "new" skin with sunscreen. Every. Day. !
Ooh I loved the Supergoop - I reviewed it a couple of years ago. And good point re using it as a primer, as I remember it, it had the same consistency as the Huda Beauty primer.
Dez you should try the Drmtlgy undereye concealer with spf,only one i found to work under my eyes anyway 😊i took the top off,you do make me smile,keep it going for 2025 😂

Thank you! I put sunscreen on after moisturiser, so last step before primer. I usually wait about 15/20 mins before applying primer or foundation to give it all time to settle into my skin ❤️
Catrice is a German brand . Very affordable and quite good. Tbeir undereye cream brightner is so good I can go without a concealer. Available in Israrl in Drugstores.

I love the nudestix brand. I love their blushes and sticks for lips and cheeks and eyes! I agree with preferring smaller palettes

PS How do you "wipe off" a mascara to avoid clumps?...such a silly question, I know... but i am trying to envision it🤔🤪. My fave mascara of 2024 is recent discovery, Merit's Clean Lash. I am just loving it ... glides on, no clumps, minimalist look with a single swipe and buildable for a bit more of a fluttery lash...& best of all very minimal flaking by the end of the day.
You would need a lash comb separator to brush off the mascara clumps 😊❤
I am using Hour Glass brow pencil in the colour ash . I don’t put it on thick and I use the brush the sheer it out a bit . It’s a great colour for grey or just cool coloured brown hair . I know lots of lady’s that really like it
LOL - re wiping off, I think what's meant is wiping the brush onto the rim of the container, before you apply the mascara, so ensuring the brush isn't as saturated and thereby hopefully avoiding clumping on application - and hoping the residue will somehow find its way back into the container, thereby not wasting any 😉 Merit's sounds a bit like the LE Kitten Lash - also minimalist, and actually the Maybelline Sky High is quite like that too, with its rubber brush. I would definitely try a powder brow product, or use a single shadow - so much more choice of shades and you might find one that suits. Hugs to you to, dearest friend ❤️❤️❤️

After many years of trying to find a blusher which suited me I came across Clinique Chubby sticks and oh my...... beautifully creamy, lovely range of colours and blend in with fingers creating a really natural blush across the cheeks. Highly recommend and not ridiculously expensive :)

I tried Dior and Lancome lash primers, prefer the Lancome. But for really WOW lashes, I use Bobby Brown Smokey Lash (first) + Ilia Limitless Lash. I am 73 and this combo gives me a very lashy look.

I love the Westman Atelier blush in Dou Dou! I picked up the RMS Lip2Cheek cream, but the color was gone from my cheeks in a couple of hours. I really want to like RMS so i haven't given up yet!
Sephora does a good pencil which works for my pale ash brows and my white hair - in the shade Neutral Gray Brown. Very affordable too. If someone in the US wants a similar palette to the Naked 3 - Ulta has a palette called Blushing Blooms, at the amazing price of $14 (on sale from $20). The colors are all mauve/rose/neutral. Still waiting for the Lisa Eldridge liquid shadow to come back into stock in the color I want (as well as the shadow stick from Victoria Beckham.

I like the Fenty concealer very much. I also like the Tower 28 concealer and the Kosas. But I regularly use Drmtlgy Luminous Eye Corrector Spf 41.. it's great!
Thank you - the Drmtlgy is on my list! I have a feeling Tower 28 may have fragrance, but I'll check. I used to have a Kosas concealer, although I bought the wrong shade, it was a bit too warm - but I remember liking the coverage.

I don't have any luck with Elf cream or liquid blushes. They apply too patchy on my 66 yr old skin.. I Just purchased ABH stick blusher and I'm hoping I'll have more success.

I love the Urban Decay Mini Naked 3 pallet. I only buy small pallets - I find with big pattets there are too many shades I never use.
I think you first told us about the Hour Glass brow pencil Dez 🤔not sure but I think so . Anyway it’s my favourite. My second favourite is a Tom Ford brow pencil in taupe, It’s not cheap but lasts forever plus comes with a refill !!!!

Hey Dez, congrats on the 20K! I also use the Charlotte Tilsbury powder under and eyes and in my tzone. I find it helps with the shine and smooths out my skin without making my skin look dry. Because of your recommendation I am using the Lash Paradise primer. I find I can use almost any drugstore concealer and get great looking lashes. I have recently started using a setting spray. I like how it makes my makeup look at the end of the day. Have you ever tried a setting spray. Perhaps you could do a video comparison on them?

Hi Dez you really must try the CT Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer (the one with the doe foot NOT the awful sponge-tipped Magic Away). You might also like to try the Beautiful Skin Foundation (the one in the tube) - it’s a million miles away from her other heavier mattifying foundations ❤

Try Neutrogena radiant cream concealer. It's excellent!. Does not settle into lines.

Hi! You could try the mulac (an italian medium cost brand) fix the chaos eye primer, for me and my oily eyelids it's great! And i don't know if you have tried the nars smudgeproof eyeshadows base that its very loved on youtube but i haven't tried yet. Wish you a happy new year🎉!

Sunscreen! It's an every day must for anyone wanting to avoid brown age spots, wrinkles, and rough areas. I got 2 fraxel laser treatments in 2024, and started a strict regime of sunscreen every day, even if staying indoors all day. So ..... I recommend Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen spf 50 as a primer. It has a lovely powdery gel texture. It's matte and has no detectable white cast, and no fragrance. Makeup goes on perfectly with it.
I will be going in for another laser treatment in January 2025, and you can believe I am protecting my "new" skin with sunscreen. Every. Day. !
Ooh I loved the Supergoop - I reviewed it a couple of years ago. And good point re using it as a primer, as I remember it, it had the same consistency as the Huda Beauty primer.

Thank you! I put sunscreen on after moisturiser, so last step before primer. I usually wait about 15/20 mins before applying primer or foundation to give it all time to settle into my skin ❤️
Catrice is a German brand . Very affordable and quite good. Tbeir undereye cream brightner is so good I can go without a concealer. Available in Israrl in Drugstores.

I have - the one with the sponge tip applicator. It's ok, but it didn't wow me. I need to do a really deep dive into concealers - it's in the works 😊
