Amazing interview. He is a treasure house of nuggets of history. Keeping aside the history, I wonder how he remembers all those little snippets, even entire family trees. I can't even remember my own family tree! His vocabulary is astounding ... more because when he speaks it , all the words are just so appropriate and poetic and it doesn't sound as if he's trying to impress. And what I like best is his insistence that everyone is human, all humans have flaws, we just need to hold back from deifying them and expecting everyone to be perfect. It is also a lesson in life and in business where we expect others to follow set patterns that we lay out.
Truly said Ms.Anjali. The way he talks is really music to ears . As a huge fan of history I loved him for making my favourite subject so interesting. (Thinking of my history teachers at this point , who almost made us sleep and hate history . 😁)
I wish Manu was a political advisor...a lot to learn from this young genius for our present day politicians..

@@myreply4789 I adore Mr Sasi Tharoor but Manu has to go beyond being only an associate.
@@shynasherin4272Shameless english speaking international con man
@@myreply4789 ..admiring Sasi sir too...
Yes, but definitely a left-leaning and too much swing towards that direction.
I really appreciate his way of talking.. Simple but intellectual...I am become your great fan
These stable words comes from him shows the amount of hardwrk he shower on the book
Mr PG Ranjith, I didnt get what exactly you meant by this comment.. Stable words..
You are a time traveller coming from past decades
I can't believe I sat and watched a one hour interview.. So intriguing.. Would surely read these books..
Ever since I started reading Ivory Throne, became a great fan of Manu....!!!
It's a wonderful book.. In this interview, you have mixed Malayalam wonderfully with English.. Very interesting...
The New Age Hero is a complete replacement of the fictitious historical knowledge of the new generation. How true it is that history will change when some people come.
I got the book The Ivory Throne, many years back, I am not a vivid reader, so didn't complete reading yet. After so many years, I happened to see your video again. It's very interesting to hear your talk and is always amazed by your geniusness, hardwork, and knowledge. You are such an inspiration for the young generation. No one can miss the play of Saraswati in your words, hope my words won't jinx you.
The tile of this book is very catchy as well, but you know it is a little misleading, a lot of people won't read the book and do guess work with the title. And if I am allowed to make a guess, it has to do with marketing. The word brahmin means, the one who knows Brahman, the ultimate. I have read somewhere that, in the beginning, the brahmins used to wear poonool only after they came to contact with the ultimate. It is an area of great interest and research.
ഇന്നത്തെ young genaration നെ കുറിച്ച് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആ വേവലാതി ഇയാളെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഇല്ലാതായി. കാരണം ഇന്നത്തെ most of young generation is only interested in easy going popularity.but you are an hard working intellectual giant.hats off you.
Thangaleppole vivaramulla cheruppakkaranu ippol lokathinavashyam.... Hats off you manu
Really appreciate the transparency brought to topics that amongst us have no solid grounding or research....the hyprocrisy platform on which castes stand today, certainly has cracks and Manu is exposing them.
He is real treasure of knowledge
Awesome ❤️
A beautiful talk, ruined by erratic camerawork. Please, put some effort DC.
even amateurs with a phone can do a better job, alas
Manu🙏🙏🙏
I am proud of you who represents malayalees with talking in English using malayam words, I want to see you always talking like this. As per the situation nonmalayalees can study the malayalam language through your talk. Keep it up. A lot of thanks for being oposit of Renjini Haridas who Avatharika on stages.
It's a cruel comparison, Renjini Haridas is an anchor, she has to speak English in order to the producers of that channel... But Manu is a historian and intellectual man., no body compelled him to speak English. If may be reason for that
Malayalees…yes, we have to do a comparison and show disrespect and contempt for another person while complimenting and appreciating someone!!!
