If you also want to prepare a meal with the knife, I recommend the stainless version, because the carbon version is not neutral, the steel reacts with acids and leaves an aftertaste.
But the stainless also has many more alloys in it, whereas the carbon is very close to pure iron. And iron is harmless to the human body, as is carbon, being how our biology needs it. Our biology doesn't, however need many of the alloys they put in even basic stainless, and some you most definitely do not want to be injesting.
I just received my first Mora Garberg... This knife is EPIC !!! Build quality is superior. The one thing I really like about this knife that no other knife has is that it has a short drop at the point allowing this knife to be extra strong. Other knife makers tend to make a false blade on top in taper it an inch back. This knife does not. The taper is less than 5 mm, which gives the knife a whole lot of strength up front. For 70 bucks this is the best knife there is...
I bought the carbon last spring. Over the course of 1 camping season the Mora Garberg Carbon has become my #1 go to knife. So much so I bought a real nice set of sharpening stones and a leather strop with which to sharpen it. I’ve watched several RUclips videos on how to sharpen the scandi grind correctly, and when done correctly, will shave hair no problem. Thank you Sweden.
I'd recommend trying to keep the micro bevel, or kinda stropping it into a small secondary convex cause I've done a zero scandi on a garberg in the past and it started getting dings and rolls much easier.

Hi Dave. Thank's for the great review. My choice is the stainless. I live in Victoria Australia in the high country. I've had many carbon knives before and although great they are hard to maintain because of the excessive moisture we have here. Always having to remember to oil the knife and constantly cleaning surface rust when you forget to oil it becomes a headache after awhile. So stainless is my choice. 👍🏼👍🏼

I'm finally getting a garberg carbon!! I have a few mora's and love them and yes Dave Canterbury is the reason we got them YOUR video is great too! I love your perspective and insights on knifes you know your stuff thanks brother!!
@@silvanigra with carbon steels you can get a spark off of them with flint where stainless will not spark. You could use the spine of the carbon knife like a flint and steel in an emergency situation.
Enjoyed it Bryan! I got the Kansbol and another knife for my Birthday back in January. I love the Kansbol, and the handle great. Back in March got me a Eldris, found so many uses for the little knife. Now my wife wants one. The Garberg is on my list, but I think I'll get a stainless steel one. Great to see their balanced!
I grew up with Mora. My 2nd and 3th fixed blade ever are Mora's and I still have them. They are some 40+ years old. They have (or had) full tang models back than also but they were above my budget at that time. I have used a lot of Mora's and I must say that the production quality has improved over the years. Of course Mora is the name of the town where the factory is located and it used to be different knife brands but all made in that same factory so in the end they united using the brand name Mora. I basically stopped buying Mora when they came with these 'bushcraft' knives and in 2011 switched to Hultafors as the cheap basic camp knife. Cheap but very good and I have not seen anything in this video (apart from using the protruding stick tang for the ferro rod) that my less than 10 euro Hultafors GK can't do. I bet the handle of the Hultafors is way tougher also. I like the Mora Garberg as a plastic handle knife with a protruding stick tang (like Fallkniven) but that's beside the point. What I don't like is the price! It's between 85 usd and 125 usd maybe in the USA depending on the sheath? Here they are about the same price in euro. For that price there are so much more options! Even knives without plastic handles and truly full tang and with way better sheaths. I don't trust velcro without a snap button when in the water, mud or snow and that's how the knife/sheath combo is attached to the multi mount part. Just one velcro strap. About Dave Canterbury and the controversie. You mention the fact that Dave Canterbury states that the Garberg would be his knife of choice for a one tool option, so you bring him into the review. When I look at Dave's video's I see him mentioning and showing specs that any one tool option knife should have according to him and the Garberg does not live up to those standards. Of course he made these video's before he got paid by Mora. I'm not saying that DC is not a good woodsman but he is a business man first. He does get challenged but never responds. I even challenged his 5 C's and 10 C's. The way I see it the Americans needed an American role model and chose Dave despite of his lies. I even think that this Mora thing is more of a hype also. Mora wants the American market and hired Dave. They both win and the American public gets stuck with overpriced plastic handled knives. For me the price is a big factor and should be taken into account in any review. I think the Garberg is a 50 dollar knife at most. ruclips.net/video/1ab6qic4EfA/видео.html
@@farhad_tulip The steel. The carbon one will rust more but can create sparks from a rock if that you're game. The other one is more rust resistant and needs less care. That's the difference.
G'day Bryan. Great review. I'm born and bread in Sweden but moved to the "Big island down under" 25 years ago. My first knife was given to me at the age of 5, about to turn 6. My granddad gave it to me and taught me how to use it. It was a Mora Scout with birch handle and natural tan leather sheath. I wish I still had that but sadly it is long gone. I have had NUMEROUS "Moraknivar" (plural) since then. Mostly the cheap tradies tool knife that is used from anything like carving timber, cutting electric wiring, digging and scraping off slag when welding. I am about to buy a Garberg as my previous go to bush knife was stolen with my bug-out/bush craft bag during a burglary recently. I am literally contemplating buying both a stainless and a carbon steel model as I really can't make up my mind hahaha. Anyway, it will possibly come to flipping a coin. Another mentioning of my grand dad; when he taught me how to and how NOT to use a knife, he said "When you cut yourself, you know you have used it the wrong way". He said WHEN, not IF. And 50 years later, I still hear his bloody comment in my head while occasionally running for a band-aid LOL. Heads up, the Mora Knife is pronounced "Mora Kneeve" with sounding "K". Thanks for a cool channel. Cheers. Perry.
Yes the Walmart knock off from Walmart after all it cost $2.83 how good can it be. I enjoy your channel so very much and the critick that you do for us. Don't pay attention to the hatters they are irrelevant. Keep up the good work and don't change anything. Thank you The Air Defense Sargent
Recently received my black carbon Mora, I have used it some since receiving it. Did some batoning with it but I really enjoyed the way it throws sparks from quartz I did strike it and lit charcloth for fire.
👍 Very good review of these knives. I have the carbon steel version simply because I like carbon steel. Most people who have both say they are about equal with SS being more corrosion resistive and CS having the flint & steel capability. The hype about a full tang knife or a “survival” knife is all marketing propaganda IMHO. I can do any knife task with my Mora Classic 2c that I can do with my Garberg. I convexed the edges on both because that is the best edge geometry, IMHO. I also squared off a section of the spine on the Classic 2 and rounded off all but a section of spine on the Garberg. The Garberg knives are very good knives, but at the end of the day a sharpened piece of steel is a sharpened piece of steel. Some folks still believe the BK2 and Tom Brown Tracker are good knives. 🤷🏻♂️ In any event thank you for sharing your views on these knives. Nice to know they passed your world famous balance test. 😄
Wow, your mention of Mr. Canterbury sure set off the Sirens of Whine. If you don't like Dave, then don't watch him or buy his products. If you have a problem with him say it to him! What do you think Bryan is going to do, ring him up and say "Oh, hey Dave, I've got a guy who thinks you're a sell out."? This is Bryan's channel, don't complain at him about someone else on it. Another great video Bryan, keep up the good work!
+Bob Ashmore. I like the videos and channel of Bryan. But it's Bryans choice to put the recommendations or statements of Dave into his videos. So according to Bryan the Garberg is the knife of choice now if Dave was to take only one knife (one tool option). Now is that comment used to make Bryans channel more believable or to make Dave more like a survival hero? I put much more value into Bryan then I will ever in Dave. So I suggest that Bryan gives his opinion about knives and leave it at that. If Fiskars would pay Dave a million Dave would recommend Fiskars. So why mention lying Dave in the video at all?
the stainless from mora will outlast the carbon hands down. the stainless is much more resistant to rust than the coated carbon. mora 14c or 12c stainless will hold an edge better than the carbon, but may take longer to get that edge...it's worth the extra effort. mora stainless!
Here in Australia it’s difficult to find a knife shop with a good variety of types and brands so you’d be lucky to be able to hold one in the hand that you’re interested in before you buy. I was lucky I bought a Garberg carbon online for my first bushcraft/survival knife and was pleasantly surprised at how good it feels in the hand.
HOME RUN VIDEO BOSS , First I am very excited to see your signature opening with flying knife . You cover all aspect of testing a knife . Both Knife are gr8 But "BLACK IS BEAUTY" . That flint test is cherry on top . I think This video will be the BEST on these Mora knife .. that's It I am going to share it
I won't pay that kind of money for a Mora. Now with THAT said....I really LOVE Mora knives and I own two of them....the Light My fire Mora, SS steel with ferro rod and sharp spine and the Companion HD, Carbon steel. Since I always carry both, I can do everything that you demonstrated, except for the flint use, for a whole lot less money, without sacrificing quality. Great review Bryan...back to the roots is always nice!!! God bless.
Man I got to try one of these. I think I would go for the stainless garberg. I'm not crazy about the black but I would be happy with either one. Great demo Brian. Have a great week.
Satisfying video. You have a comforting voice to go along with the visuals. Got to say though, I hate batonning segments but, hey, different strokes. Full tanging the Mora addressed the concerns of a lot of holdouts.
That carbon steel really throws sparks for flint and steel fire. I don't do flint and steel, so I would probably go with stainless steel for easier maintenance. Their SS is very good steel (Sandvik I believe). Thanks for showing it Bryan!
@@farhad_tulip The stain resistance. The Stainless steel model, doesn't rust, the black one is a bit harder steel but it's not stainless steel and it will rust if you leave it with water on the blade. That's why it has that black coating, to prevent it from rusting. The stainless steel is softer and tougher but will be way more time consuming to sharpen. Everything else, like sheath and handle, are exactly the same. Just keep in mind, that they both come in 3 different sheaths. (Comon plastic, multimount and leather)
I bought the stainless because it matches the stainless steel Eldris which I stuck onto the Garberg sheath, makes a nice pair. Will pick up the carbon version one day with the leather sheath. Stainless for times when prepping food and bushcraft and carbon for bushcraft only times
I've been watching RUclips for a few years now and just found your channel about a week ago! Great videos! New Sub! Im ordering the Garberg Black after watching this one!
Awesome! Great review Bryan :) Both are really nice knives for sure! And the carbon steel one works with flint too! That was cool! By this far my favorite Moras have been the 2000 and the Bushcraft Survival Black. Garberg has the best qualities of both. And it is a full tang :) My choice would definitely be the carbon steel version with multi mount sheath :) I like the versatility of the sheath! I mostly prefer carbon steel blades so I guess there is no excuse not to get a Garberg anymore ;) Big thumbs up Bryan! Have a great day :)
Can you do a video on " what brand of kitchen kitchen knife would you grab, or can do just about all the things a designated bushcraft type knife can do"? My wife needed me to bend an old butter knife that she need for a garden tool, and she only needed a 90 degree bend( she wanted an L shape) and I did so with a part of grips. I was surprised when I bent it, at first it was a bit tough to do, and most importantly, the knife didn't break at all. I will be honest, there are some strong butter knives, steak knives, and all the other kind of knives out there for meat cutting, and many inexpensive knives like a butter knife don't have a micarta or wood handle making them full tang knives. I remember as a kid I took an old butter knife, and threw at an old abandoned made of brick apartment building waiting demolition. To my surprise the knife didn't break, and all it had on it was a few scrape marks on it, and it must have traveled 100 ft in distance, and at a height of 50 ft, and it hit a brick wall too before landing on the concrete below it. I would never do that to my expensive hunting knives, bushcraft knives, or even any of my folders, because I got a hunch, they wouldn't fare well at all compared to that old butter knife I couldn't destroy.
I have owned Moras for years, never had an issue with anyone of them. I don't own the Stainless, but I have ordered the Carbon and i'm looking forward for it to come any day now. I have the cansbol (which I don't like). My hope is that the handles aren't all that much the same.
I really like these knives, I have the Craftline pro and I love it, I want a bigger knife but this mora has me wondering if I even need a bigger knife. So it's ESEE 6 or lazerstrike vs. Mora Garberg
Excellent video and exhibition mister! The Bearded Green Beret gave the same thumbs up you did on this knife and I will soon grab a couple. Really like the grind on that thing too.
really like the look of the watches you have been sporting as of late......i have seen them before in pictures but not on a real arm before lol....they really do look nice
Thanks Brian . Complete, comprehensive review of both from the "world wide headquarters". Both would be great knives, only difference would be preference of material. Create different care , only concern. Thanks for the effort and time. Keep up good work there buddy. Glad to see you spell your name correctly ! haha
help!! i got the stainless garberg it wasnt the sharpest out of box i sharpend the secondary bevel.off to a scandi i have a duel 1000 6000 grit wetstone coming in a few days should i keep it scandi or put the secondary bevel back on it ???
Gday mate, I said a few years ago that if Mora ever makes a full tang knife it would be game over, now they have it has certainly come true(ish), there is always personal choice and a nice custom knife will have more features you may enjoy but Mora makes an easy to sharpen, very sharp tough knife now its full tang its versatility is set in stone so to speak. I will still make knives because I love it. For any survivalist these knives are just an awesome must have tool for your kit no matter the roll you apply it too. Thanks again for your amazing channel Bryan cheers and regards from over the pond.
David Canterbury said that!? Maybe only if his choice was only a Mora Knife. Don't get me wrong, I love my Moras. Thanks for your videos; they are always good.
Sorry didn't mean to make you doubt yourself, the videos are great, and after seeing it and reading Wally's comment I will buy the Mora Garberg Carbon from Amazon. I was just curious about the number of sparks from the stainless. I need a new field knife to replace my Les Stroud Camillus I damaged while batoning firewood. You both gave me all the answers I was looking for, Thanks.
I respect the quality of that knife but I can't do tacticool. I like the Kellam and Marttinni lumberjack. I have been pleased with the wood handles of those. Plus they are less expensive. I like the wood and leather over black plastics.

I just got the carbon steel garberg and have full confidence in it already and next up I'd like the stainless but there's a deal breaker question I need that nobody has seemed to answer yet maybe you could do Brian and that is how easy is it to restore a razor sharp edge on the stainless garberg? it doesn't matter if you use a wet stone or field sharpener, I just need to know, thanks!
I’d say stainless for food prep and carbon for pure bushcraft and tough work. Carbon steel is extremely tough, and will resist damage extremely well. A stainless knife will chip, due to its harder steel composition (sandvik 12c27).

Back in March got me a Eldris, found so many uses for the little knife. Now my wife wants one. The Garberg is on my list, but I think I'll get a stainless steel one. Great to see their balanced!
The Eldris is very handy. I'll be showing that one too soon.

Thanks
Dutch Bushcraft: Very true. You hit the nail on the head multiple times. Thank you.
Thanks for your good movie Both knives performed well and were similar So what is the difference between these two models of knives?
@@farhad_tulip The steel. The carbon one will rust more but can create sparks from a rock if that you're game. The other one is more rust resistant and needs less care. That's the difference.
@@StevanOutdoor
Thank you very much for your very good, complete and accurate explanation, my good friend
Cheers. Perry.
He did say it right towards the end of video and this is an old video. For you it was 5 years old already 😂
Yes the Walmart knock off from Walmart after all it cost $2.83 how good can it be. I enjoy your channel so very much and the critick that you do for us. Don't pay attention to the hatters they are irrelevant. Keep up the good work and don't change anything. Thank you
The Air Defense Sargent
Dave Canterbury knows more about bush crafting than 99% of the wannabe’s on RUclips. Good video Brian!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Amen that he does been watching Dave for years got his books as well. Can learnalot from that man
Recently received my black carbon Mora, I have used it some since receiving it.
In any event thank you for sharing your views on these knives.
Thanks for the support Bob!
Stolen valour..
Dave has come clean so let it go already life is too short.
That was well put.
I got my Mora Carbon Steel pre-ordered from the Pathfinder knife shop, cannot wait to get it.
You'll like it
Hi Marth
the stainless from mora will outlast the carbon hands down. the stainless is much more resistant to rust than the coated carbon. mora 14c or 12c stainless will hold an edge better than the carbon, but may take longer to get that edge...it's worth the extra effort. mora stainless!
Different strokes ...
I don't find too much difference in sharpening 14c... to carbon.
Got both because of your great review. Well said buddy! Stay healthy and powerful. Regards from Sparta, Hellas.
Thanks
Here in Australia it’s difficult to find a knife shop with a good variety of types and brands so you’d be lucky to be able to hold one in the hand that you’re interested in before you buy. I was lucky I bought a Garberg carbon online for my first bushcraft/survival knife and was pleasantly surprised at how good it feels in the hand.
@OnitsukaTiger82 Thanks for that, I'm not too far from Sydney so I'll make an effort to go there and have a look.
Just earned another sub. Great info and skills keep up the good work OT.
HOME RUN VIDEO BOSS , First I am very excited to see your signature opening with flying knife . You cover all aspect of testing a knife . Both Knife are gr8 But "BLACK IS BEAUTY" . That flint test is cherry on top . I think This video will be the BEST on these Mora knife .. that's It I am going to share it
Thanks Yogesh !!
God bless.
Thanks Charles
Every tool has its purpose ! Thanks for sharing
Man I got to try one of these. I think I would go for the stainless garberg. I'm not crazy about the black but I would be happy with either one. Great demo Brian. Have a great week.
You too
Satisfying video. You have a comforting voice to go along with the visuals. Got to say though, I hate batonning segments but, hey, different strokes. Full tanging the Mora addressed the concerns of a lot of holdouts.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
That carbon steel really throws sparks for flint and steel fire. I don't do flint and steel, so I would probably go with stainless steel for easier maintenance. Their SS is very good steel (Sandvik I believe). Thanks for showing it Bryan!
Yes it is
Thanks for your good movie Both knives performed well and were similar So what is the difference between these two models of knives?
@@farhad_tulip The stain resistance. The Stainless steel model, doesn't rust, the black one is a bit harder steel but it's not stainless steel and it will rust if you leave it with water on the blade. That's why it has that black coating, to prevent it from rusting. The stainless steel is softer and tougher but will be way more time consuming to sharpen. Everything else, like sheath and handle, are exactly the same. Just keep in mind, that they both come in 3 different sheaths. (Comon plastic, multimount and leather)

Thank you for your very good and complete answer, my good friend
@@farhad_tulip You welcome!! Greetings from Crete Island of Greece!
I bought the stainless because it matches the stainless steel Eldris which I stuck onto the Garberg sheath, makes a nice pair.
Will pick up the carbon version one day with the leather sheath. Stainless for times when prepping food and bushcraft and carbon for bushcraft only times
Cool
I've been watching RUclips for a few years now and just found your channel about a week ago! Great videos! New Sub! Im ordering the Garberg Black after watching this one!
I am glad you enjoy my silly little videos. Thanks.
I was actually pretty impressed with how easily this one made sparks
You are a king for starting fire
Great video Bryan on the Mora kniiiv. Stainless is the way to go;)
It probably is for a mighty slayer of fish like you Magnus ;-)
I also prefer stainless. Keeps the edge longer and is similarly easy to sharpen.
Great video anyway! Thanks.
I live in Australia, so lots of coastal and humid environments so I went with the SS. Also requires no maitenance other than sharpening with a dc4.
Great video! I think I just found my next Mora. And another favorite channel! Good job, Brian!
Did you hear us all yelling for you to drop the bird's nest? YOW! LOL.
I give 100%
I have the Kansbol too but I have not played with it yet
The scandi grind is a nice touch and lends to better honing.
I really like these knives, I have the Craftline pro and I love it, I want a bigger knife but this mora has me wondering if I even need a bigger knife. So it's ESEE 6 or lazerstrike vs. Mora Garberg
stainless all day
Excellent video and exhibition mister! The Bearded Green Beret gave the same thumbs up you did on this knife and I will soon grab a couple. Really like the grind on that thing too.
It is a good one.
really like the look of the watches you have been sporting as of late......i have seen them before in pictures but not on a real arm before lol....they really do look nice
I think they are cool
thanks for the knife review.
The carbon steel looks nifty.
Nifty and keen
Nicely done review!!! Thanks
Carbon is better every time with a Scandi Grind if working with wood , Great Review as usual Bryan thanks .
I hate moras!
Ever since my 1st one, both my expensive knives and home made knives sit in the basement idling.
Mora does it all.
;-)
Lol truth. They punch way above their weight. I love it over Esee
Mora is like the Glock of Knives.

Thanks. I appreciate it.
exactly what I was looking for, thank you
Glad I could help!
Thanks Brian . Complete, comprehensive review of both from the "world wide headquarters".
Both would be great knives, only difference would be preference of material. Create different care , only concern.
Thanks for the effort and time. Keep up good work there buddy.
Glad to see you spell your name correctly ! haha
Thanks. I appreciate it.
I own 2 Moras, fantastic knives. Thanks Brian, always enjoy your vids !
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Morakniv Garberg And Vintage Morakniv Forest Exclusive 311 Design Very Similar.

Stainless steel, mostly because of where I live, the humidity is high
Can you recommend which knife is best for opening mails, yet gives me a false sense of rugged woodsman identity?
We're can you buy a Gerber knife. I see Amazon..ebay.....smoky mountain knives. Bass pro shop catalog.
I know this video is old, but which of these knives can get sharper and will hold it's sharpness longer with the same amount of work being done?
help!! i got the stainless garberg it wasnt the sharpest out of box i sharpend the secondary bevel.off to a scandi i have a duel 1000 6000 grit wetstone coming in a few days should i keep it scandi or put the secondary bevel back on it ???
Gday mate, I said a few years ago that if Mora ever makes a full tang knife it would be game over, now they have it has certainly come true(ish), there is always personal choice and a nice custom knife will have more features you may enjoy but Mora makes an easy to sharpen, very sharp tough knife now its full tang its versatility is set in stone so to speak. I will still make knives because I love it. For any survivalist these knives are just an awesome must have tool for your kit no matter the roll you apply it too. Thanks again for your amazing channel Bryan cheers and regards from over the pond.
Thanks for watching. I hope they don't make you turn in your Moras
+brutalbrital. Mora has been making full tang knives since at least some 40 years. Hunting knives that is with wooden handles.
David Canterbury said that!? Maybe only if his choice was only a Mora Knife. Don't get me wrong, I love my Moras. Thanks for your videos; they are always good.
Can’t wait to get the carbon version. I got the mora black and I love it and use it a lot
Good stuff
Sorry didn't mean to make you doubt yourself, the videos are great, and after seeing it and reading Wally's comment I will buy the Mora Garberg Carbon from Amazon. I was just curious about the number of sparks from the stainless. I need a new field knife to replace my Les Stroud Camillus I damaged while batoning firewood. You both gave me all the answers I was looking for, Thanks.
I don't think the Garberg Carbon is available just yet. Soon, very soon ;-)
Brian, Awesome comparison!
Thanks
I respect the quality of that knife but I can't do tacticool. I like the Kellam and Marttinni lumberjack. I have been pleased with the wood handles of those. Plus they are less expensive. I like the wood and leather over black plastics.
Great review
So...
WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
Whichever one you like the most. I prefer the carbon
Hi, I wanted to know what is your vote for this 14C28N steel for bushcraft / survival knives? Thanks Michele
Hi Michele. I have not even heard of it. ;-)
Thanks for your videos you are one of the ones thats inspired me to start bushcrafting

Dear friend Thanks for your answer, does the carbon blade not rust? And can it be easily sharpened again?
Stainless all day. Technology and steel has changed so much where Stainless are just flat-out better.
Thanks for posting this. I always enjoy your videos and I was particularly interested in these two knives. (Two versions of the same knife...w/e.)
They are both great in my initial opinion.
Good knife overall for the price. Thanks for the review.
I agree
Carbon all day every day, unless you live by the sea side.
Our ancestors didn't ever moan about blades rusting as they took care of them.
Great video. I own a Garberg and I was curious about the new version.
Thanks
Hallo.. habe paar Moraknives.. zum Schluss ein Garberg... Top Messer... Carbon mit Vorsicht... wird fleckig mit Säure... Gruß aus Kärnten Austria...😊
I love batoning with a knife. not only does it work well but i feel it's safer as it's not as heavy and bulky as a hatchet
I agree, its also practically impossible to injure yourself batonning, as both hands are occupied and out of the way of the blade.
On a pre-order I just got a carbon steel for $89 was $99 for the leather sheath It is suppose to come at the end of April we will see. Thanks for the review as always very good. wish there was a link for you to support the channel keep it up

Thank you for the video Sir. Cheers
Thanks , another knife I gotta have !!!!
Just one more ,-)
Thx for the vid! how its rust on carbon? in wet condition carbon lose direct, steel one is in my opinion better choice. friend have carbon i have steel. We camp 7-8 days a year and i see the huge dif of those 2 knifes. Greatings from Sweden btw.
Does the knife get dull if you buy the multimount sheath
Could you also review William Collins Survival Knife (WCSK)
Nice bow drill example btw!
I want both of them. My $15 Mora in stainless and carbon steel are the sharpest knives you'll find.
They are good ones
Very informative! Thank you! 👍
Thanks for the video another knife to my collection.
This one is made to use
Survival On Purpose I agree just stating that I add it to my collections of knives I use. My dad always said if your collect knives for show don’t buy it. If you are going to us it then buy it. Funny that has stuck with me all of these years. Thanks.
either on would be a good addition
What are the differences in the Garberg and the Bushcraft. I tried their website, but the compare option does not appear to work.
The biggest difference is the Garberg is full tang.
Great review, great knife skills too!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
This is awesome. Please be safe cutting the branches. Are all mora knives good for bush craft?
Pretty much.
Great video brother and yes I agree about batoning with a knife, the more my knife can do,the less I carry.

Hi, I just ordered a garberg and I was wondering; for your testing, did you use the factory edge/angle or a true scandi with no micro bevel?
Thanks for your videos. I watch them a lot because of your opinion.
✌️🦁
Just the factory edge
@@SurvivalOnPurpose thank you very much.
Now I know I can just use it when I get mine out the box.
Dude you do a great job.
Thanx for helping out this old man.

They should make a longer bladed version, like 6" with a slightly beefier spine, I'd buy it for sure, lol.
That would be cool
Try pathfinder, it's 6.7" blade.
Your pronunciation on Morakniv is almost perfect...the "k" is not cilent though so you say it like you pronounce the "c" in cutting or California...thank`s for a very nice rewiew...and i am getting the Garberg carbonblack with moly-sheath!
Sheers from Sweden
I just got the carbon steel garberg and have full confidence in it already and next up I'd like the stainless but there's a deal breaker question I need that nobody has seemed to answer yet maybe you could do Brian and that is how easy is it to restore a razor sharp edge on the stainless garberg? it doesn't matter if you use a wet stone or field sharpener, I just need to know, thanks!
Just maintain the Scandi bevel and use whatever you normally use. I prefer diamond stones these days
+Survival On Purpose thanks Brian!
I’d say stainless for food prep and carbon for pure bushcraft and tough work. Carbon steel is extremely tough, and will resist damage extremely well. A stainless knife will chip, due to its harder steel composition (sandvik 12c27).
Garberg is 14c28n
Would love to see you do a head to head with the Jakaripuuko vs the Garberg........please!!!!!!!!
We'll see
