So fascinating my grand parents use to talk of the Savoy and 133rd street during the depression when swing was popular i bet they had alot of fun. the only place ive ever been in is the alahambra its still there but it has a bowling alley and they rent it out for balls for the lodges but i always wonder how it must have been bck in the old days
Man, I want to go back to 1947 for a weekend and hit all the clubs!
i would love to visit a new york jazz club i amagine its very relaxing.
Great mini documentary!
Wow. Wonderful
How the hell do we have less jazz clubs while cities have gotten bigger and denser? That makes zero sense.
Lack of individuals dedication to perform jazz. Build it, they will come.
Wonderful!
oh yeah, jazz baby!
jazz is the background music to new york city.
Id be happy if music (any) was happening in NYC 2021. I dont want to talk about the jazz part.
