Thanks for the video! It gave me goosebumps.
Now that was cool!
Thanks 😊 definitely came out better than I expected.
This is so cool! What a great idea to use a 360 camera for this. I love the gentleman in the white shirt's reaction. So good.
Thanks! I loved his enthusiasm. They were all great! I gave them a view of the eclipse through some power viewers and some previews of my photos and was able to answer whatever questions they had (any excuse to talk about astronomy, am I right?).
Nice video. Did you use the Insta360 X3 for this? That was the only model available at the time of the eclipse. The new 8K Insta360 X4 was only released after the eclipse, unless you were a camera reviewer who got them ahead of time.
Thanks! I wish Insta360 sent me one to review, that would have been cool and perfectly timed.
But this was the Insta360 X2. I borrowed it for the eclipse.
Thanks for sharing. It was amazing to see with my own eyes. Total eclipse number 2 and counting!
Awesome! Planning on adding any more to the list? This one was my third total eclipse, hoping to add a few more by the end of the decade.
You were in Richford? I almost went there! I had spent Sunday night before the eclipse in Manchester, NH and ended up going up to Houlton, Maine! The 360 really adds a nice perspective. And I would have loved to have had the X4 for the eclipse. Lol.
Houlton, Maine was the place to be! A few people from my astronomy club went there and they have some of the best pictures I've seen.
The X4 would have been cool. If they had come out with it before the eclipse, I would have forked up the money for it. Would have been cool to record the eclipse in 8K 360°! I feel like Insta360 failed to take advantage there.
@@Naztronomy Houlton, Maine was great! The skies were 100% clear for the entire eclipse, including partial phases. It was awesome!
And yeah if they had just gotten the X4 out a little earlier, it could have been some great marketing.
Wow!! This is fantastic!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you, Tom 😊 I can't wait for the next one!
great video! This will be all I need, no need to go to a total eclipse any more in future.
You should still definitely go. No video or photo will ever fully capture the feeling of seeing the eclipse in person.
