Why I thought the sand dune tour near Mui Ne was overrated

The white sand dunes are cool for sure. But, I could’ve gone without the last two hours of the tour. It seemed as though they take you to the other places to justify spending money on their tour, as opposed to just going to the white sand dunes yourself. Also, Mui Ne is pretty out of the way from Saigon/HCMC. I simply wouldn’t recommend to someone they go out of their way to do it. If you’re going by it or you’re there for something else, go for it.

It’s an experience? It’s not about rushing through all of it just for pictures.
If anyone could bare to stand your nagging like family and friends you’d have more fun. Next time get someone to travel with because traveling alone is sad and lonely.

Okay you had me at the first half, but lost me on the second half. Travelling alone is only sad and lonely if you make it that way. If you make the most of it, it’s actually way better than travelling with someone else. It pushes you outside of your comfort zone more, it forces you to meet new people, and best of all it gives you the freedom of not having to stick to an itinerary. As someone that has travelled in big groups, small groups, pairs, _and_ solo, I will choose solo any day. My solo trips are the trips where I had the most fun and biggest adventures.
