But apparently to KyoAni its NOT a Relationship its Friendship... if my friend ever said this to me id think their either taking drugs or crushing on me.. this is seriously a borderline first crush type thing and KyoAni is baiting it so hard to make it seem like no no its actually Friendship how the fuck is this FRIENDSHIP!!! they are oozing more pheromones than any Yuri anime iv seen

At least it strives to be a good show overall and tell a rather natural romance. Like even though it's not yuri Hibike Euphonium is what yuri should be. Then you could have a good show where you could recommend it to friends or other anime fans and they could say "yeah it's a good show".

Omg Sasameki Koto, Girlfriends, and Citrus I love too much. I'm hunting down volumes because I just love how romance and overall how characters are written. Candy Boy I like too it's lighter sorta like Citrus in a theme but clearly different. But thanks for this list for yuri for me to check out :) it's just finding yuri to watch or read that isn't the stuff that's otaku pandering can be hard. But the gems do stand out. Citrus, Strawberry Panic, Candy Boy, Girlfriends, Sasameki Koto, I love them all and I hold dear to me. It's romances and characters I just adore so much.

Reina's line about wanting to reveal Kumiko's personality and that being a love confession is something that really resonates with me. I spent a lot of my younger years trying to appeal to as many people as possible and be "nice" to everyone. Now, I've let go of a lot of that behavior, and it makes me happy to be both liked and disliked for who I genuinely am. I hope that I can create the sort of relationship these two have where they can share their true selves with one another.

Watching Pixar Soul a few months ago, made me realize that you in fact don't need to be special. You can live an ordinary life, or a fullfilling career or passion, but everyone of us, no matter who we are, or from what background, are already enjoying life to its fullest. To live itself is already a gift, charis - grace from God. You don't need to prove yourself too hard to be special. You already have that in you. Then, and only then after you realize that life is a gift, then you can truly work and passionately to what you have been called. It may mean you leave good legacy and have a big success, or just simply live an ordinary life with ordinary job. But they're not boring. The ordinary itself, if you really pay attention and ponder, is already special in itself.
I think it's just preference, not wrong, you can't impose your own worldview on someone who's already made up their mind. Some people just ascend beyond limits of others willingly or not. It's ok. Maybe she even feels lost, without purpose, thus she creates something for herself.
Honestly in my 20s I can agree with you utterly and completely. I've gone through so many different experiences and met several different types of people, and that shows the difference of how you live your life, regardless of your destiny its' a way of life that you form for yourself regardless of status or position. I found throughout my life that i don't need to be special in order to live a successful career or delicate passion; I chose not to live special and instead with an ordinary job and life in order to leave a good legacy and have a big success from living a special life. It's not easy to explain everything, but I just follow what my heart and destiny tell me in order to be special without being special; there's nothing to prove when you're already proving and providing to reach your inner dreams beacuse life in itself is precious and yet so fragile.....

it's awful how kyoani just dropped their connection later on in the anime just to be more faithful to the novel.... i know Kumiko and Tsukamoto got together in the novel, but i always felt it was way out of place in the anime because kyoani didn't cater to it at all. But now they seem to have made an 180 with the movies and head for the route anyway while Reina just got completely forgotten it's bs

その際は聖地だと知っていましたが、特に調べもしませんでした。
複数年の時を経て先程偶然オススメに出てきたので大吉山のシーンを初めて拝見しました。アニメーション&演出で実際の景色に少し描写が盛ってありますが何気無い景色を魅力ある景色に見せる京都アニメーションの技術に驚嘆した次第です。
