Question: when you say - 'more sag' does that mean the fabric stretches more and you can mold it more to your body? OR do you mean that you sag down creating more banana shape and are less flat during the lay?
I assume these are the standard width Chameleons? Curious if you've tried the wide version. I'm 6'2" and really can't decide if I should get the additional foot in width.
I bought the Wide version and am glad i did. Im 6'1/6'2 and the Wide offers more leg and shoulder room over my Warbonnet XLC which makes it a little more comfy. Not a HUGE difference, but enough to notice a difference.
Really like your videos. Like it that you usually explain number of feet suggested between trees. The Chameleon looks great and love doing business with Dutch. I am Kind of new to hammocking. I have the Warbonnett traveler and sock but would like to get the Lite Owl by Wilderness Logic. It is an 11 ft hammock though and I am 5'2", 125 lbs. My question. How tall is your wife? Does she find a problem with an 11 ft hammock for a smaller person? Sorry my question is a little off topic, but I have already purchased several hammocks that I am not fond of, and that gets expensive.
Sorry just saw this! She is 5'7 and does not have an issue with the 11 ft hammock, but then again she is much taller than you. I don't think you would have an issue though.
Being right at 240 myself I would like the 1.0 but don't feel comfortable with the weight limit listed for it. I am going 1.6 burnt orange with black winter cover.. That orange looked sic. Good info Thanks!
It's such a beautiful color. The weight limit when this hammock was released was 250, but Dutch lowered it to be conservative. On hammockforums there are posts where people in the 220-230 range felt fine in it. The 1.6 is very comfy though too!
Definitely won't be doing any "Stealth Hammock Camping" with a Burnt Orange Hammock! However, when you guys eventually get into trouble, the Burnt Orange color will make it easier for the rescuers to find you!
Question, have you gone over the 200 lbs limit on the 1.0 with gear and everything? I'm 180-185 lbs and I'd like to keep as much gear as I can in there with me (especially with the new "sidecar" option). Just wondering if I could safely push it another 20-25 lbs? Thanks
I like the hammock videos. I have been using a Hennessy UltraLight Explorer hammock for backpacking trips the past two years. This one by Dutch looks like a real winner! Good video. PS- I like the cat!
Thanks for the comparison video. I'm looking for a hammock and this 1.0 looks really awesome. next I'm going to watch your comparison between this and the warbonnet. Guessing your in Ohio since you went I hear you say you went down to Wayne. I'm in New Albany.
Ah, so glad this video exists. Was torn between the two.

I'm trying to decide between the bright blue and moroccan blue. Do you know which one you have here?

May I ask. Do you guys pay retail price or is Dutch giving you these? I’m thinking of buying my first hammock and $125 seems a bit.
Is the 1.6 model that you tested the "Brilliant blue" or Moroccan blue"?
It's Brilliant Blue. Moroccan is darker.

And you will not get shot during hunting season xD

The 1.0 fabric is so comfortable! My in-laws all live in N.A.
