Joe's relaxed style disarms the guest as his meticulously researched questions hit the mark. Great work on all of those upcoming records Marty. He looks a little like Robert de Niro these days. lol. ty 4 vid.
Too much dope was a bit of a problem though back then in Oz as a lot of kids were chronic users dropping out of school, work and uni. It wasn't as strong as weed now but martys correct in saying it was everywhere. I played gold afternoon fix a lot when I was working at a pub in Cornwall in 1990 and had lots if punters ask me about the songs and band. Funny how Marty later moved to Cornwall. Love All about Eve still listen to them here and there but sadly Never got to see them live.
Almost convincing toupe. Loved the Church in their "Heyday" At the Noosa Aussie Hop(It was in a huge field in Cooroy)Lot of Great bands that day. The Church, even on a stinkin hot Qld day had an amazing ambience and you almost forgot it wasn't just their show.
Edit and delete the first sentence, it's a dickhead troll move, and totally wrong. That said, the particular Noosa gig you referenced was notable because The Church deliberately delayed their arrival so as not to play before The Sunnyboys, a billing that peeved Steve Kilbey.
Can't help wondering how well-off he is after 40 years in the biz. His room looks like a student's place. Of course this could be his 3rd beach house. And I know it's none of my business!
The Church provided the soundtrack to my life and continue to do so to this day. Kudos to Steve for keeping The Church alive, but I miss Marty xo

@@KevKavanagh Well they were awesome,as were the Sunnyboys. I referenced it because I was there.
@@seanquinlan6887 Good on you. You got there before The Church. Your stupid toupe quip? That's the issue.
@@KevKavanagh so not a toupee?
@@seanquinlan6887 never heard of the sunnyboys - do they sound like the church? (whats with the toupee comments?)
