Free will can not exist in the framework of an all knowing God who is also the creator. God creates people knowing everything they will do in their life. Following this logic, God creates people he knows will go to hell. In order to reconcile this you must either admit God is either not all knowing, or not all benevolent. How would you combat this issue?
Thanks for the comment! God's grace is non-competitive, so the Church teaches the doctrine of cooperation. God gives everyone sufficient grace for salvation but man can reject God's grace if he chooses. Further, just because God is all knowing and all powerful it doesn't follow that man makes no choices (which would be the essence of not having free-will). Our friends at the Thomistic Institute put out a few videos on human freedom & God's omnipotence (and causality), I hope you find it helpful!
