I have a T1x. It’s the most accurate .22 I own. I replaced the trigger spring with an aftermarket spring to put trigger pull at around two pounds. Head shots on limb rats are easy. Countless rounds through this rifle, zero malfunctions. Highly recommended!
Also called "tree mice", red squirrels are edible. I have a Ruger American Rimfire, Model 8351, 22 LR, stainless steel bolt-action, and it uses 10/22 magazines.
Interesting. We have four kinds of rabbit in Australia: The small grey rabbit. The red rabbit. The, larger, black rabbit. …and the big eastern grey jumping rabbit.
Love mt Tikka T1X in .22LR, I have it mounted in the GRS Bifrost stock and upgraded the trigger with a spring kit which brought it down to 1lb. Very accurate rifle.
That suppressor makes it sound insanely quiet... I don't hear anything but the trigger breaking. LOL Definitely a pretty cool rig great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Not surprised by that level of accuracy at all! My T1X is in an ORYX chassis with a Vortex Diamondback scope, and with S+K flatnose target I can reliably shoot 3/8" or better groups at 50 yards. It is absolutely my favorite rifle.
I have a T1X and I love that thing. I dropped it into a KRG Bravo Chassis, kept the stock trigger. Have a quick video on my channel shooting some steel at 200 yards with it. Super fun rifle!
Great video. Would've liked to see it on paper at 50 and a hundred. I have mine with factory stock, DIP scope base, Burris rings and Burris 4.5-14x42 scope (side parallax), and it shoots beautiful. I believe the trigger is at about 2 lbs; maybe 2.5 lbs; from factory. Haven't made any changes of the trigger or adjustments. I have a ton of 22's and this one had been put aside for a few months. It had only been sighted in on paper at about 20 yards from the truck hood; with cheap ammo. So, yesterday I actually took it out to see what it could do at short range; 25 meters. The ammo was Lapua center x, SK flatnose match, SK match, CCI Blazer, CCI Standard Velocity, Winchester Super X Power Point, Remington Golden Bullet, American Eagle red box, and Aguila Super Extra. As expected, the higher end ammo printed pretty much one hole at that range. Both of the CCI ammo's and American Eagle hit one hole with a very close flier for each (could've been me, not the ammo). Winchester, Remington and Aguila were all still close, but not quite the "one hole" that I like to print. This Tikka can shoot way better than "minute of squirrel" with all ammo I put through it. And that really is what it was bought for; my spring-time ground squirrel getter. I would rank its accuracy, trigger pull, and everything else in the same category as my CZ 455 and almost up to the task of competing with my Bergara B14R.
Just FYI, "tikka" is woodpecker in Finnish. Name is derived from factory's homeplace, small place called Tikkakoski, which translates about to "woodpecker rapids". Finland out.
Have a GRS Sporter Nordic Wolf with adjustable but pad on my T1x and it really transform this rifle. Another thing i didn't like was the bolt handle, it's to small/short. I fitted a nice one from High Velocity Hunting Australia, and also all his upgrades available for the T1x on mine..
I bought a Tikka T1x to start NRL22. It is amazingly accurate for a $500 rifle. The factory trigger is very good but the factory stock is worthless. Good ammo makes a huge difference IMO
Mine outshoots every 22 i own! )which includes several Anchutz, one a 2013 with shilen match barrel in master class stock that won several ir 50/50 matches yrs ago & custom time precision bench guns. & i got it for well under $500!! in the factory stock no less.. maybe i got lucky, or maybe its lapua x-act ammo i bought yrs ago , but i won't be selling this one!
I have the .17 HMR. I had an older Mossberg .17 that a 12-year-old managed to wreck by forcing the barrel out of the chamber slightly, just loading a round into a badly fouled rifle. I figured a good company used to building high-powered center-fire rifles would do a better job with a rim fire. I have not been disappointed.
Thank you for this Video...I'm so excited to be waiting on my Tikka t1x mtr 22lr....I've got it to the Range now and I can say this thing is a Shooter WoW, it's very accurate in the Stock format. Look out Squirrels !!!!!@
I know several GRS evangelists. The stock is a blessing for right handed shooters, it is a curse for lefthanded shooters though. It is like shooting a stock that fights everyting you do. Normal stocks, you can get used to with no problem. The GRS is a great stock for the end user, not so if you have left eye dominant brothers or sisters. It is an exeptional stock if you ordered for your specifications. That said, it is a great product, but with its own built in problem.
I have a 10/22 i got for my kids … but im thinking i want this setup. Im 6’3” and i have issues where i feel i need more length of pull on some of my rifles.
I'm jealous! I have a Tikka T3 Tac A1 in 6.5 CM with the $10 trigger spring and it is awesome. I was looking for a T1X in 17HMR to drop in a Bifrost stock but have been unsuccessful so far.
It's probably been asked tons, but how does everyone think this would compare to a cz 457 in a similar dress? I have experience with CZs but never had a hand on a T1X
I bought some actual CCI stangers yesterday. Not like those regular stingers.. pfft. Lol. There not easy to come by up here in canada so I'm not sure if I'll ever shoot them.
The Bix n Andy is over kill. You merely need to replace the trigger spring with a cheap spring from YoDave. And you will have an exceptional trigger. As the Tikka and Sako come with great triggers. YoDave will just drop the pounds on it.
Pretty close to the setup I wanted, still shopping around for parts, very nice Plinkster! What is the can you have on there? On the trigger, Bix'n Andy only shows triggers for the T3, same for both? If is not too much to ask, can you post a link on that trigger?
Rather than a foreign European made 22 LR Tikka T1X bolt-action. ~Instead why don't you purchase a Made in the USA, Ruger Precision Rimfire bolt-action 22 LR with adjustable stock Model 8422 with American Flag Cerakote finish, or the regular bolt-action Model 8401. ~Ruger American Rimfire Long-Range Target Model 8378. ~Ruger American Rimfire Target Model 8366, stainless steel. ~Ruger American Rimfire Model 8351, stainless steel. @@royjohnson465 feel the difference in the actions and triggers. You will answer your own question. There is always going to be something made in the US that could have been bought instead of something foreign. That being said.... until the quality is as good or at least close, I'll take the better quality firearm.
@@mejeremyb ~I see, 'maybe' the same as purchasing a Toyota Highlander (or Subaru) which is the best and more reliable than the Ford, GM, or Dodge SUV's. ~The Ruger American Rimfire has an adjustable trigger, but yes the action could be better as it is not as smooth as I would like. I have never personally seen or used a Tikka T1X but you explain it is better. Tikka should make one in stainless steel just like their center fire rifles.
Tikka accuracy is remarkable. Great shooting as always. The GRS stock looks like a fantastic upgrade!

What barrel length is your Tikka
286 yds free hand? Amazing! Not just the rifle, but the marksmanship too.
I've got my Tikka T1X in an MDT Oryx chassis with a Vortex Viper PST 6-24. Great rifle, especially for the cost of the setup!
That suppressor makes it sound insanely quiet... I don't hear anything but the trigger breaking. LOL Definitely a pretty cool rig great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Love the tikka, but still really want to see a cz457

Great post my friend. I always enjoy tuning into your newest post.
I’ve been looking at the t1x as a companion to my t3x. I don’t need it, but I want it.
What a beautiful and quite firearm.
Eric’s flyby is what I needed this morning! 😂😂😂
Naruto style
That's a super nice rifle. You can't go wrong with a GRS stock.

Mine is very accurate. Has weak extraction though. Stock trigger is perfectly fine. Put it in a krg bravo chassis

Would love you to take a look at the Bergara BMR. Can't decide between it and the T1X
Love this! What is the one screwed on the muzzle though? Thank you for this!
My Diana 34 in .22cal (air rifle) has a Discovery 6-24x42mmFFP/SF on it. I love the magnification range on them.

Classic Kentucky road instructions. That has happened to me and my father once.
Do a review of the Tikka t1x 50 yards and 100 yards

It's a Tikka, so accuracy is built right in! :)
That is amazingly quiet!

I didn’t think you would ever get one on your show
Sorry if i missed it what kind of supressor is on it? Thank you again for the video and all your help

Do you shoot small bore silhouette? If you don't, you should...great fun!
That jet that flew by at 1:57 was the weirdest Jet i've ever seen.
That was narutoveteran8888
If this is hitting the gong easily, what's it like when it's hard to hit?
What is the minimum length of pull with that stock? Thanks
Love my T1X, gets shot more than anything I own. Nice shooting!
i love it
quiet like a dream
That first shot made me think you had a malfunction
Wow, really! Sounds like a dry fire.
This is some good shooting! Great video bro!
I know this is an older video but I have a question: you said that GRS stock was $300, where? It’s twice that everywhere I’ve looked…
I bought some actual CCI stangers yesterday. Not like those regular stingers.. pfft. Lol. There not easy to come by up here in canada so I'm not sure if I'll ever shoot them.
Great vid as always. Hi Eric! 😂
I'd love to see a review of the savage a17 in 17wsm
Great review! Too bad that this stock has a shorter lop compared to the Bifrost. GRS need to make a 1/2" and a 1" spacer for this stock.
Where have to been? I love your videos
I've got a gsg 15 that does 300 accurately. And now I'm looking for a good bolt action maybe a CZ 455 varmint to do ELR with it
The Bix n Andy is over kill. You merely need to replace the trigger spring with a cheap spring from YoDave. And you will have an exceptional trigger. As the Tikka and Sako come with great triggers. YoDave will just drop the pounds on it.
Is that barrel on the Tikka longer than the barrel on the Savage 64F ???
Looks beautiful
Great review! Would you please do the new Colt king cobra 22lr ?
I gotta ask what do you think of that Bolt??? And the stock trigger is nice
Be nice to compare it against a cz 457. Both are top quality but is any better than the other. Similar price range
Im guessing that's a 20 inch barrel on that tikka?
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS WITH 22. CAN YOU MAKE MORE VIDEOS OR ARE YOU DONE WITH IT.
hey plinkster whats your best .22 magnum video?
What is the length of barrel
Nice rifle nice shooting.
6 by 24 scope? Or 6 to 24 by something?
What happened with you using Henry
How can you not do groups with this rifle?
i have a tikka tx1 17 hmr with a 16.5 inch barrel would my rifle fit this stock?
Pretty close to the setup I wanted, still shopping around for parts, very nice Plinkster! What is the can you have on there? On the trigger, Bix'n Andy only shows triggers for the T3, same for both? If is not too much to ask, can you post a link on that trigger?
I’m looking for a ruger charger adapter, can you help me out
You gotta make part 2!! 👍
is that a suppressor on the barrel tip?, its a very silent rifle.
How much is this rifle with the trigger upgrade , stock etc? I love Tikka but it isn't cheap in that configuration
Wind at 285 on a .22 has to play Havoc. I'm old, but I love Walnut with a lovely grain, Synthetic lacks any semblance of esthetics in IMHO.
Is that the GRS fenris stock ?
I am in the market for another 22LR rifle...Tikka T1X is the one.
My t1X is in 17hmr. Dead accurate.
that first shot was so quite I thought it was a miss fire
You should make a vid of deer hunting
Thanks,🔝Reach out! I've something for you!!!!!!
Did Eric turn into Sonic for a second there?
Quick question. I was looking at this same exact rifle, just wanted to know where can I find a suppressor?
Silencershop
Have the tikka t1x trigger down to 1.5
Pound plus Mauser m18 223 with fenix
Very quiet rifle
What suppressor are you using?
That is a great gun
Is that a built-in suppressor or is that an add-on
Added on. Barrels are threaded from the factory.
Is that a fake background?
Can you get it in a barrelled action? I would like to have one but in a MDT chassis.
They come from the factory in a basic synthetic stock.
@@mejeremyb Thanks!

what's effective lethal range on those 22 LR?
Depends on what you are trying to kill.
Iraqveteren8888 showed that a hit from a 22 is still deadly out to either 6 or 800 yards can’t remember which. But will past what he shot today.
ammo box says 1.5 miles
