should mention that this landing gear was fabricated with piano wire, aluminum and brass tubing, and cold solder - (no use of a soldering iron needed) - I failed to break it all down while I was jabbering. Also - there are a few more components to the LG that I wont fabricate until the nacelles are fitted to the wing - so I know how long to make them and what angles they need to be attached to these main legs for the best representation of the DC-3 main gear assembly
There is no comparison with your landing gear and the vac u-form that comes with the kit (yuck). I decided to do the c-47 version of this model with wheels up. A little lazy but it will go with the B-25 mitchell that I infilled 2 years ago. I was wondering where you got your engines from?
Resin2Detail makes them - I'm not certain that I bought these from them - it was a year or so ago - but these are the least expensive and a close match to what I have. Search 'Resin2Detail R2800 1/32 scale' or similar.
