Sorry to be the 'Karen' here (I am a mum haha sorry) but you might consider measuring the size of the hole you want, then make a 'clay shrinkage ruler' so you can make the hole before the bisque firing. It is a lot easier than using the drill when bisqued (and that dust scares me lol). You can make a 'cookie cutter ring' from a used aluminium can and packing tape (think: coca cola can). Love the finished result. xx
Use the 'cookie cutter' method when the piece is fresh. The clay shrinkage ruler will help you work out the exact Fresh measurement required. Leather hard it'll shatter the piece, most likely. Definitely easier to do when fresh.@@Music4krista1
Someone that made that pot and video will have considered that you can be sure of it.. but I'll let you in on it.. because a lot happens to the shape in the kiln, specially with something artisanal like this, there will be slight differences in the mix, air bubbles, thickness differences due to air temp and humidity the day you make it, so much can affect this.. , and if you are doing a precise hole to fit a prefab object in your ceramic, you have to do it after the fall this has happened and the object is stable..
@@ruicunha2439 Plenty of ceramicists make work which has holes cut into it when the clay is wet. I make large lights using plaster forms and cut holes when the clay is wet. I have never had an issue. It doesn't raise a lot of dust, but in the case of drilling holes after first kiln, since there is a lot of size change at this stage, it would be better and more accurate to make holes after firing.

Beautiful video! Very relaxing to watch
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's incredible❤
Wow so beautiful 👍👏👏I love it ❤
You’re so talented 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Mine never comes out of a mold so easily. Beautiful work.
Thank you!
I love this! Can we use the drill after glazing process? Or can it only be used in biscuit form?
Thanks a lot
After glazing the work surface will be so hard and resistant and it will not be possible to drill.
Hermoso !!!
Hello! Why you don't make the holes when the piece is still wet? Thank you for share your process ❤
Because it changes size after firing

Great video. As a potter it’s always fun to see new ideas. But, for anyone watching, pottery is never this neat nor clean. Get ready for a mess lol
Thank you very much for your kindness. Of course it's not that clean but it;s not bad to show pottery beauties in addition to the facts.

How to make a ceramic grout plz? 🙏
In America it’s called slip. You can purchase it already made or make it yourself by adding water to dried out clay and mixing well.
Thanks a lot for your answering😍 You're right, it's a simple and good way

Hi, I used the socket like this:

But you can also use the UNO sockets that are very easier to use and don't need glue
why use glue at all? There are UNO sockets that would allow you to screw the socket to the pottery.
You are right and it is definitely a better and simpler way that I will use and show in the video in the near future.
Why isn't it thrown on the wheel?
Because she wanted to make it with a mold? She made the mold herself out of plaster.
😍❤️
