Cadence sensor bikes will keep giving you its intended power, no matter how tired your legs get. Conversely, torque sensor bikes reflect and amplify your fatigue, by giving less as you able to give less.
from my experience, torque sensor are much more natural, you get the electric support nearly immediately. With cadence sensor, you have to do a half(?) turn of the cranks before the motor starts. It's makes it much more responsive to use, I think.
@9:21 Is that a big ole bike locker? If so, please take the time to spotlight those in your videos. Most places don't have them, and we need to see it to be it!
thanks to your channel i bought two 16 inch wheel folding bikes one new and the other secondhand and 60 squids best thing i ever did as they are so much Fun (would of never believed it.. tour de Britain now on the cards now)
Tenways are not selling to the UK directly through their website. Quote: We are so sorry for the inconvenience caused, now we do not sell in the UK online according to our recent plan, but you could choose to buy offline. They suggest buying from a UK dealer.
I used to want a Tenways CGO600 however after talking with customer service they have completely stopped production of the S size (covering heights from 5ft-5ft9 if i remember correctly). I found that kind of strange as its next bike starts off at 5ft4/5 so they just cut off a portion of their customer base who don't want a step through style bike
I love the idea of the gears of the estarli but hate the non removable battery that the tenways now offers I'm finding it hard to choose between the two.
I hope no one thinks they can ship their bike back to China, or even the factory in UK for repair. All bike repair is local. Maybe the bigger concern with all these Direct To Consumer bikes brands is can your Local Bike Shop, or you yourself, source replacement parts to fix it? This is why bike shops wouldn't want to retail DTC grade bikes. They need to honor a warranty and even out of warranty, they need to be able to look their customer in the eyes and say, I can fix your broken bike. With some DTC, they'd have to say, "I cannot get parts for that motor, and that motor is no longer available that I can see, so we'd have to try to lace up a new wheel with a new motor as long as I can find one that's compatible with your built in controller." I think some interviews with Local Bike Shop mechanics are in order. Bring these bikes to them with some theoretical failures and see what they say about parts availability for in-frame battery failures, failed sensors, etc.
I think they're good value for money personally I wouldn't buy another cheap electric bike as I regretted it. just bad quality not worth the saving in the long run. Estarli one I would have big hills in Wales... however love the belt drive wonder if they do a belt drive with 8 speed hub gears as exposed chain drives seem sold. fashioned.... 👍😁 2 great bikes!

Nice comparison! I would argue though that the Tenways is a bit ahead, it's priced a bit better, has the mudguards etc included, as well as they puncture proof tyres. They do both look good though.
Undoubtedly these are nice looking bikes, but " two of the best electric bikes on the market right now", after thousands of miles on both hubdrive and crankdrive I'd never say that of a hubdrive. I say this as someone who has had my own share of hip problems, in fact that's why I got my first ebike,
I can see this version of the E28 has a bit of give and black crumple band around the front fork. This however isn't shown on Estarli's website or any sellers specs or images. Any info on why your spec is different? Thanks!
Hi Anthony! The version in this video is an experimental version with a front suspension (that's the black band you're seeing). If you'd prefer this over non-suspension, then we recommend waiting a couple of months as we've heard it's likely to come out in the new year

They recommended two official dealers in the UK but neither were honouring the £100 off the lime green version. I did find a dealer that did (Horizon Micromobility) and ordered it from them. Delivered in two days and I love it! Hope this helps.
I need gears for the hills, but I also need a removable battery for charging so neither of these is for me. I'd also like a Gates belt, but to get one of those with gears you are starting to talk a different price bracket entirely.
Unfortunately you can't switch out batteries as it is encased inside both frames. But you can get it changed when it dies with help from a repair shop!

The security code feature is a bust, because it does not have a touchscreen or a keypad. It would take you a minute or more to try to up/down, enter your way through the menu using the buttons to enter. It's also just a goofy feature that Chinese motor makers include for free and no one uses because entry is so sketchy. No points for that one.
