i love how Liza is using her platform for this not because she’s black, because correct me if i’m wrong but she’s actually caucasian mixed indian, but because you can tell she really cares about it and knows they voices need to be heard, they lives need to be mattered.

Liza isn’t black, she’s indian and white, but still nonetheless doesn’t take away the goodness of what she did.
Hatchepsut it does not mean that they are the same, or have the same culture. It just means non-white, which in nowadays society, means being seen as ‘inferior’ and often comes with less rights. It is acknowledging their lack of privilege and their common struggle which is experienced by their common factor, color. That’s just a simplification, but hope it helps :)

I was in tears as soon as the first part came on our world is awful judging someone for their skin colour, belief, looks, sexuality and anything else is not okay it's 2020 and black people still have to deal with this it's absolutely sickening. The justice system is corrupt. The world needs to change. #BLM
Yes in a modern society it is sickening. However it’s in your primitive brain to be nervous around someone who doesn’t look similar to you. A couple thousand years ago if you saw someone that looked considerably different than you went into defensive mode (fight or flight) because chances are someone that was different from you was going to try and hurt you. The hippocampus and the amygdala are connected and are there to help you sense danger and perceive threats. Obviously in a modern society we don’t need to worry about this as much anymore but the human brain is still fairly primitive so this is going to continue to happen. Doesn’t necessarily mean you are an awful person.

Black lives will always matter first I don’t leave my house cause of Covid but my moms white I’m a mixie so my mom goes to the store and stuff I don’t leave the house Bc I know I’m not excepted in this world yet but hopefully people can see me more than a black person bc I’m proud to be black and I think we are all gorges! I went to my first ever protest the other day and it was incredible. I am a very nervous and anxious person so at first I was feeling very vulnerable and scared. The longer I was there, however, I began to feel the support of the people there. It felt so amazing to be standing up for such an important cause. Yelling the names of people that have lost their lives due to the racial injustice in America felt so emotional and powerful. Every time I see a protest it reminds me to reflect and check my heart. This is the way people's voices are being heard and I am so grateful that I could be a part of that.
