Let’s talk about the top mineral deficiency in rotator cuff injuries and a lot of other joint injuries. Up to 94% of rotator cuff treatments don’t have a great success rate and require more treatment over time.
The majority of rotator cuff problems are related to the tendons, not the muscles. There are some natural things you can do to maximize the strength of your rotator cuff, but unfortunately, it will likely never be 100% again.
Two things you should never do for a rotator cuff injury are:
1. Apply cold to the injury
2. Rest the injured area
What to do for tendon rehab and rotator cuff repair:
• A hanging stretch (for arthritis with no tear or trauma)
• Isometric exercises
• Get plenty of vitamin D, vitamin C, and amino acids
• Keep moving on a regular basis
• Eccentric exercises
• Get plenty of manganese
The most important nutrient for your tendons and rotator cuff repair is manganese. A manganese deficiency can slow down the repair of your tendons. Manganese is essential for strengthening your tendons and ligaments.
The best source of manganese is shellfish. If you’re going to take a manganese supplement, consider taking about 200 mg for around a month and then try to get it from your diet.

@@Drberg I quote my doctor who gave me advice over the phone when I had Covid 19:
"Ibalgin. Goodbye."
It is because of this that I no longer turn to doctors with some problems (I'm 47, I have only one problem so far, a varicose vein on my left leg - it's more of a cosmetic problem for now), I go to the Internet and search with common sense.
I just sent this link to a colleague who injured his shoulder and we learned something new.

His supplements are top quality and point on to what I need. Down nearly 30 pounds! This is a lifestyle change that I can do forever.
Believe it or not I am doing the 16 hours fasting daily because of his videos and clear explanation to things. Also, my have been sharing his Arabic versions with my mom

Dr. Berg deserves a lifetime achievement award. I’m sure he’s saved a lot of us. After waking up from general anesthesia the other day in my short delirium, I said to my doctor “Thank you Dr. Berg” 😄
I am concerned with amount of 200 mg of manganese that you are recommending. A high dosage of 15 mg is 652% of the DV. Surely 200 mg is too much. Most bottles of manganese serving size is only 8 mg daily.... can you verify please.
So many of us are seeking clarity but he’s only replying to compliments here apparently. Dr Berg…. Please address the queries because every google directs us to alarming toxicity levels at that whopping 200 mg you recommend.
Great to see non-surgical methods explained. Bone broth has plenty of manganese and other minerals. I had a near-complete rotator cuff tear in a freak accident (couldn't even lift my arm up) replete with a loud "pop" several years ago with no problems ever since my personal protocol. I ate lots of bone broth almost every day for months (mostly rooster, but also plenty of beef). Never iced it. No surgery as I'm very skeptical of profit-oriented methods. Kept using/moving it as much as possible without re-injuring it. No problems ever since, and was close to normal within 2 years. Using food to heal is largely out of modern medicine's toolbox but often with surprisingly effective results. A comfrey salve with other herbs was also used. Vit. C too which is good for collagen repair.
How is it that EVERY SINGLE ONE (exaggerating) of your videos are related to my conditions?! I keep up God's work. Bless you.
Very glad to be of help, thanks for watching!
The Dr pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know about. Glad I have found your channel. It's changing my life EVERY day .
I live in BC, Canada. We can't get a doctor anywhere in this Province. There aren't any walk-ins either because no doctors wanted to work here or work at them in general.

You have told me More Information than Any of the Orthopedic and Pain Dr .’s have . Thank You so Much .
AT this point I would like to thank you for all the infornative videos you have postet. I've been following you for approx. 1 year
and I haven't felt this good in a very long time, greetings from Germany.
I've been struggling with an injury for a few years now, and you are right on the money about movement. It has improved greatly; I'm going to try eating some claims too.
My husband has been dealing with that pain for last couple weeks. Did not have a clue what could have been. Wow so informative.
As always great information, thank you. I had shoulder injuries for years to a greater or lesser extent through bad exercises. Early last year I discovered a book called The Oxygen Advantage which changed my life. The shoulder pain disappeared in a matter of months and so did the back pain I had experienced for 30 years. I believe the shoulder pain was cured because of extra oxygen in my body and the back pain was cured by strengthening my diaphragm.
could you please give some tips? i mean the more important ones. actually i encounter shoulder pain when i lift heavy ( only on shoulder day)..hanging from a bar helps reduce it for some minutes..
Glad to know the video help. Thanks for sharing.
How did you get extra oxygen in your body to heal pain? 🙏
@@dalilopez8117 There are a few methods: ozone therapy, oxygen therapy, hydrogen peroxide protocol. The base premise of all is anaerobic disease cannot survive in a healthy, highly oxygenated environment. And everything we do, in a modern world deprives the body of oxygen. Look for 'The One Minute Cure', by Madison Cavaugh. Just one example, which I used, for over 3 years.
I’m glad you are coming around to properly healing actual injuries. It pleases me that you are now are educating instead of just regurgitating old disproven dogma. Now I’m excited for the channel again.
You are godsend, Dr. I have this annoying long existing problem and this video comes at the right time! Thankyou.

Thanks doc I messed up my shoulder a month ago I’m going for a prp shot next week hoping that helps ...,,your the best
Also you're one of my favorite human beings to ever exist because you're actually being a kind, helpful, sane and rational sentient being.
28 years ago I had a badly broken shoulder and inevitably damaged rotator cuff. 18 years ago I agreed to a shoulder replacement. Consultant's advised that the rotator cuff injury had been so severe that it would be improbable for it to be fully functional again. However many exercises and rehab sessions down the line I have 95 percent motion without problem. This year I had a fall and damaged my opposite side rotator cuff, lucky me. Applying all the advise and exercises from last time it is slowly improving thankfully but I am going to take your advice and up the vit d and manganese for a month. Thanks for the advise. I now also take apple cider vinegar on your advise and my candida problem has improved and my IBS too. Woo hoo. Feel brilliant about that.
thanks Dr. Berg I frequent the gym and messed up my rotator cuff a few weeks back if feels good now but not overdoing it. funny I been eating more seafood since, unknowingly I was repairing my cuff. Maybe my body was telling me what I needed? crazy!!! ty Doc for all your great content ..
Hi Dr. Berg. I am very appreciative for your work and keeping we people educated with vital information. Would you ever consider doing a video on Thalassemia minor? I'm 74, thin, good health. I cannot tolerate iron and want to start taking manganese. Some of the foods I'm advised not to eat are what I consume on a daily basis: beans, broccoli, peanut butter, leafy greens, including large salads every other day, which I learned from you. Now I'm learning that my daily diet is not good for thalassemia minor. I'm so perplexed about all of this. I know it's an odd topic, and you might not be able to provide insight about it, and that would be OK. I still love you.
Thank you so much for that very important information which we are not told by our medical professionals nor taught in fitness training certifications. Much appreciated 🙏🏼💚

PSA: Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH TAKING HIGH DOSES OF ANY MINERAL ESPECIALLY MANGANESE, BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE AN OVERGROWTH OF BACTERIA. SO IF YOU HAVE OTHER HEALTH ISSUES i.e. gut issues, start with a low dose and gradually increase aka go low and slow!
What mechanism does too much manganese cause gut bacteria issues?
Not just that, but it appears to be credible that even going over 11 mg a day can be harmful in other ways. People can easily find that on a search. Right now I have big doubts about going over that amount.
no
Damn.. I started having oral thrush. Wonder if that’s connected
I am so disheartened because I bought heaps of manganese after this tutorial. I found them in 50 mg pills . But after reading up, nothing points me to its efficacy on high dosage. @drberg please lead us to the literature backing up the 200 mg dose please
Thanks Doc, I live in Oz and have some years ago suffered a major injury and a "through" tear in one and multiple tears in the others. Been very problematic in restricting the arm, in sleeping and dressing. Now the fun part is I'm 72 and in otherwise good health but a couple of weeks ago I slipped and fell going down a ramp and after a "short flight" landed squarely on my left shoulder. Couldn't get up without help, felt like a real goose. Anyway to any poor buggers out there with rotator cuff issues just remember it could be both sides. There are tears in the L side just waiting on report. I will try to uptake my Mn levels and hope there will be some improvement as this latest has really limited my life activities.
On my way to a physical therapist today I needed to hear this
Thank you, I had/have this particular issue and took it to a clinic, and they just looked at me funny and charged me for something unrelated. I’ll do what you recommended, instead!

Very timely video...I fell 2 weeks ago injuring my left shoulder...doctor said it's possibly rotator cuff...while I take D3,C,and amino acids in my daily smoothie and have been doing ROM exercises,etc....did not know about manganese. Think I will make a trip to my local natural health store and pick some up..! Thank you for all your informative videos !! I appreciate them all !!
I did some research and it is all telling me you shouldn't take no more than 11 mg a day without risking permanent neurological damage...so what do you think Dr Berg??
Thank you for “every” video Dr. Berg!

*_Haha, I was just talking about Manganese with a friend the other day, neither of us could remember what "odd, specific part of the body it was needed for repair". There you have it._*

Dr Berg, Rest was one of the things the drs here said for me to do when the pain is too intense since the prescribed pain meds only worked for a few hours on the 1st dose only. Also, my injury is bad enough to make my entire arm and hand swell. Elevation rest does help some and so does taking lasix. But I'm afraid of killing my kidneys so I only take that about 2-3 times per week depending on the swelling. And if swelling isn't too bad don't take it at all. But if arm is both swollen and cold, definitely do cuz that helps it feel somewhat better. And never in my life being flexible even though i was very strong, i feel like....i dunno what. If rest is one of the worst things for shoulder injuries, why would these doctors tell us to do that? But of course, I think I already know.
Dr. Berg you are awesome. I just wish you would provide feedback in addition to liking certain comments. My left shoulder/ rotator cuff has been hurting for a few years now. Doing that hanging stretch doesn’t help. I tried it and it almost feels like it hurts it more. It’s most uncomfortable when I sleep on it at night. The extra pillow stuff helps but it’s hard when I’ve always been a side sleeper or on my stomach. Your videos have become one of my favorite channels to watch. So much better than all the media noise to watch someone that cares to help people get healthier! Thank you so much for your honest and genuine character as a Dr! You’re a blessing.
Many pacquiao healed his rotator cuff tear by swimming in ocean water. Grounding sure sounds like the greatest health discovery of all time.
This is incredibly invaluable info for me. Would love to see a vid about bone health, associated with acceleration and reinforcement of wolf's law and more❤️
Awesome information. Thanks a lot. Almost year and a half since the damage and I do sport and no bigger issue with it, but still didn't heal completely, and feels as you say that it will never go back to normal again.
I have had three different procedures on my shoulders. One on the left and two on the right. The last one was a complete break away of the superaspinatus tendon from the humerus bone. So I am familiar with their trickiness. My one shoulder is slipping in and out again, so I will try manganese. I have a degree of kyphosis so that is a main trigger for making the shoulders unstable.

Good timing as I have been having this rotator cuff pain for several months. I am thinking too much exercise, especially pushups may have caused it. I have a chin-up bar but attempts of hang or stretch is also too painful. I will try the manganese "fix" as I do not like shellfish. Thanks Dr Berg.

Always used to have a little pain in rotator cuffs on both sides, but particular my left. Felt them even doing barbell biceps curls. Had to use a EZ-curl bar to avoid it. But then I started doing rotator cuffs exercises with resistance bands. Let me tell you, after just 4 months all problems dissapeared and they felt much more stable and stronger. I had rotator cuff partial tears 3 times from slipping on the ice. I did not have surgery. It took me about a year to recover from each tear.
