We need to get you to review a coach bus so we can get 12 hours of a Detroit Diesel engine. That'll put me right to sleep, after spending years living on tour buses lol.
I worked at U-Haul roughly 20 years ago when we still had a ton of these in the fleet in the 14, 17, and 26 foot trucks. On the last Saturday of the month, one person would come in early and fire up all the trucks to warm them up and make sure everything was in order when the reservation list was full. Standing alone outside early in the morning in the dark, with 20 or so of these things idling gave you a sense of having an army waiting to do your bidding, even if it was just a day of hard work.
This brought tears to my eyes. My dad passed way last October not long after we put a new engine in his 97. Nothing sounds like these engines and it makes me think of him. God damnit I miss him.
When I started going to school all of the buses in my area used International diesels. The sound of a 7.3 or 6.0 always makes me think of school buses. I call the Ford Excursion a school bus because of this engine and the size.
got to drink my coffee on my porch with my LITERAL F250 sittin in my driveway. I can tell you right now i got my speaker blaring this for 7 more hours whether my neighbors are cool or not, n they have teslas like 3 of em🤣🤣🤣
The injectors knock in this one's idle tho.....more than likely cylinder 8 not getting enough fuel. Mine did that for 40k miles then melted the piston. A fuel kit will fix the problem right up.
Lmfao I thought about doing this years ago cause I have issues sleeping... Decided to download a game where all the cars (owned or not) just sit and idle
13 letter shitspreader..INTERNATIONAL... best diesel ever made....my 2001 7.tree has 800 thousand miles all original and still stroking...purrs like a kitten 😸...
Got a 2001 as well. Got all the good updates that year. Only 355K miles on this one; I just put a 6.0 trans oil cooler, new engine oil cooler, and did a bunch of long overdue maintenance. No way it's getting replaced with a modern commonrail underhood nightmare.
It's a loop of a shorter video. If you listen carefully there's a very slight change at points in the video. Temperature likely changed slightly over the course of the video.
Did my comment get removed by Zack or youtube? I meant no hate towards the channel, I love your videos and I love supporting smaller creators. Are you not aware of the things I talked about or choose not to believe it?
I don’t delete comments. Whatever comment you’re referring to must have been reported or removed by RUclips. Free speech in my comments is important to me.
RUclips likes to shadowban people for no reason. I'm shadowbanned on a few channels. Perhaps because I speak the real truth sometimes, not RUclips's preferred Truth(tm).
I used to work at a little restaurant/coffee house in a mountain town in the Rockies. In the summer, we kept the windows open, to let in the cool mountain breeze. At least twice a week, some idiot tourist would leave their smelly and noisy diesel truck idling outside, while they popped in real quick for some coffee to-go. The fumes and soot smell would linger for a half hour after they left.
Sounds like a loop. The injectors knock happens in quick recession at the end of the loop. Listen very carefully and you'll hear it. It's done well tho. Good job Zack
Ah yes, now I can sleep peacefully
Why I wake up every morning
Same Bro I can now sleep peacefully too
Cant wait to fall asleep to this, running my 7.3 all night gets expensive
everyone heard this engine at least once, from box trucks to school buses to shuttles you name it😂

Detroit 60 series engine most common on old freightliner trucks like the cornado fld120 classic xl and others
There is a gut with a 6-71 and a series 60 asmr
If you change the playback speed on the video, you can make it rev higher.
Omg it does😂, sounds like it's in high idle amazing
If u put it to 0.75 it’s cool to
It almost want to growl at 2x ❤
Sounds like it's running on 7
Very nice
The 7.3 Powerstroke/T444E Sounds Phenomenal!
Only the finest of musical compositions for these ears
My dog didn't like the sound when I put the phone up to her haha 😂
4:35:14 i love this part

That sound is the sound of HARD WORK, FREEDOM, and AMERICA THE GREAT!
Diesel is from Germany
@@oleg-bd3xsbut America made it sound so cool
Powerstroke is an American engine
I can smell that sweet diesel now.. Thank you
what a great video, i appreciate the sweet sweet sounds of this 7.3
This brought tears to my eyes. My dad passed way last October not long after we put a new engine in his 97. Nothing sounds like these engines and it makes me think of him. God damnit I miss him.
diesel idles are always so good to listen to
It's crazy how cozy this sound is at midnight plowing for a town. It's helped me many times with falling asleep
This is the video I never knew I wanted. Thanks Zack!
This is the content I've been waiting for.

Same here. My Dad also had a 6.9L IDI F-250 when I was growing up as well. That idle is an extremely nostalgic sound for me.
You should do "12 Hours of Tesla Model S Idle" next. Basically, just 12 hours of silence lmao
With the occasional boop sound of battery low😂
Teslas are a joke
I pull into the parking lot and this sounds makes heads turn.
What my neighbors hears for 15-20 minutes at 442am sharp
I am that neighbor
I drove Tow Trucks 1992 to 1997
Drove all 3 versions of 7.3 - Naturally Aspirated, IDI Turbo, & Powerstroke
Plus a few sad 460's
Good day bro ❤
It's raining here in Bangladesh, I'm enjoying the diesel noise 🏆
This is my favorite kind of truck
Hi
Sounds like im outside of a caseys general store.
Didn't know i needed this
This is a very nice loop job. How long was the original clip?
Nothing but a good old 7.3L V8 T444E international engine that makes me go out for a ride
"Fast idle stick, engaged" increases playback speed
I got the best sleep ever to this, great work👍
never changes... amazing, I just need this and a massager and itll be sleeping on the 6th grade bus again
This is pure gold 👌
Can’t wait to tell my mechanic I idled my diesel for 12 hours
.75 playback is perfect for me .50 and .25 gives me chills......like when my truck is running out of fuel
No clickbait here. Title says it all.
This is how testosterone sounds…
I could sleep to the sound of my idi or my powerstroke idle
got to drink my coffee on my porch with my LITERAL F250 sittin in my driveway. I can tell you right now i got my speaker blaring this for 7 more hours whether my neighbors are cool or not, n they have teslas like 3 of em🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad your F-250 is literal and not figurative.
@@bwofficial1776 yes i have to make that known people like to be figurative on here for some reason ive yet to discover 😅
PERFECT
Why can I smell this video?
May I request a "X Hours of Cold Start-Piston Slap GM 3.1L V6?"
😂😂😂. That’s awesome
the comcast truck outside your house when you have an issue and it takes several hours you hear this
Can you make a mp3 of this? Even if it’s just 6 hours.
Gonna play this on my trucks speakers 😂
The injectors knock in this one's idle tho.....more than likely cylinder 8 not getting enough fuel. Mine did that for 40k miles then melted the piston.
A fuel kit will fix the problem right up.
This is literally what every stock 7.3 sounds like.
I automatically smell diesel thru the phone
I need 12hours of maxxforce dt sounds
The sound of silence or the sound of a mechanics shop?
@@robwhite3241 bruh
@@robwhite3241Lmao. 😂
DT360 or DT466 actually emit sound for long periods of time.
Soothing sounds. 💯👍👍❤️
Ahhh yes. Finally found something to help with the PTSD.
that aint funny karma will get you for that
@@Thealternativesblacknailpaints your mad cause I found something to cope with the fact that I have PTSD? Thanks?

So much Murica
Just did an oil change on one today!
12 hours of burning kia next
Wonderful
An obs 7.3 at that. I can always tell if it's an obs or an SD.
Literally everyone who knows the 7.3ps knows the difference between an obs and sd
I can smell this video

Super cute
Gonna sleep great tonight guys
How much diesel did it use for 12 hour of run time. Sounds like an old clock.
It's a loop of a shorter video. If you listen carefully there's a very slight change at points in the video. Temperature likely changed slightly over the course of the video.
I wanna 6.0 version please.
Can't have one cause 6.blows are always broken

I'm sorry for your loss.
No one cares get over it
I hope you just looped the sound and didn’t let it idle for 12 hours! That poor engine😢
Have the first one to
Diesel
Put it up high it sounds like a guitar LOL
Haha, that is pre def fluid so alotta sutty carbon build up in this 12 hour video

Def fluid causes a lot more problems
I wish I coud buy one, oh wait I live in europe.
Haha niice
Sounds like my mothers voice
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I like 2003 6.0 diesel sound better
A 7.3 with a big turbo and a good wheel sound 10 times better than a 6.0. especially a early 6.0 but, there's a lot of money to get to that point
6.blows make no noise since they always broke down
No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No
