I’m decently handy and pretty crafty and to be honest these are pretty bad quality. I speak from experience-they look fine at first, but with way they were put together they will almost immediately begin to come apart, especially with all the shortcuts. And the materials for all of these projects will rack up cost surprisingly quickly, in the end costing more for a product that will quickly fall apart.
No one ever tells you how much these cost, that dense foam is like $40 for a piece like that, if not more plus the fabric will be like $15 unless it's on sale, and the batting would be like $15, plus the cost of the bookshelf! At that point you should just buy a more comfortable seat.
I think it's a shield against total strangers trying to force you to wake up early and drink tea. I mean if it's solidly put together, you can whack them over the head with it and go back to sleep.
Aurna Shamima nah mate my year 11 anthology of poems has little value in comparison to my 1781 first edition of hymns in prose for children (handed down through generations) or even the 1908 second edition of hazlitts characters of Shakespeare's plays etc. That I got from a car boot sale for barely anything
Surely it would be cheaper and less time-consuming to just buy some of these? Because you can’t find many of the materials used so you’ll have to buy new material anyway + the equipments.
Yeah true tbh. But some people find it fun to do anyway. I like craftingblike this. But for the people who dont, they can go thrift stores and find cheaper versions.
I guess it's more satisfying to actually do it yourself tbh, and you also get the creative freedom of choosing your own fabric/wood stain/sizing etc. Idk, that's the reason I chose to DIY instead of buying lol
Yeah, like the first one with wood. I wanted to make a duct tape mannequin and went to the Home Depot. I got wood out of their "scrap pile." Here it was oak. It was only 8" x 14" and it was going to cost $22 bucks. The real mannequin online is on $39. And after I bought wood, I still had to get wrapped and nail it together and paint frame, etc and HOPE it turned out ok. Sometimes it's simply easier and cheaper to just buy what you want. UGH!

unfortunately the succulent table will probably kill your succulents :( there is 0 drainage for water and the plants will probably develop root rot because of it (I have killed 2 succulents because of draining issues now and have since learned better). too bad because it's a super cute idea!!
Laura Rasmussen i'm sure there would be a way to create drainage, and to not do to much damage! Like use flex seal or something and drill some holes through the bottom. Also instead of plastic wrap the flex seal would probably do a better job of protecting the table!
It doesnt work for me. My table is made from solid wood, I dont think there would be place for plants, also I doubt possibilty to cut it with paper knife. Why table with cardboard?! Really someone use it...
if you mist water your succulents or only water them a little when the dirt is completely dry it should be fine (that’s how mine are since their pots dont have drainage)
cute but why do they do things in inefficient ways? measure elastic band each time by wrapping the book instead of just measuring one piece and using it to cut the rest? tuck fabric around and under an entire bench of foam just to THEN flip it over and wrap it AGAIN to staple the fabric? sorry buts it’s 2am, and i’m gonna be salty about crafts i’m literally never going to do
beefeebrillate It’s to make it feel more like a seat/bench than just sitting on half hard foam. To make it more cushiony I suppose? Whatever, that’s just my opinion.
Foam makes you sweat directly close to your skin. The cotton batting serves as a barrier. Never buy a foam mattress and if you do, get a THICK mattress cover. Ask anyone at any mattress store. Trust me.
It is pretty useful, to be honest! I have a load of books that I've already read/won't read again, but can't bring myself to throw away or give away. Storing them like that is practical because they look cool; I get to keep them; and they won't be in my way!
You could just buy those pretty crappy dollar store novels, or use books that you cannot seem to throw away, but you never really read... it depends on your creative mindset so please don’t hate
Hey guys stop being mean to them, they probably did hard work 10 years ago and wanted everyone to know about it so they kept on uploading them over and over again, it's not THEIR fault. 😂
If making pom pom rug around 6:07...You may want to use TWO non slip mats doubled up and then tie the pom poms through them....Because I think as flimsy as they are, it will rip in NO TIME if you only use ONE. (Just a thought.)....Also, wooden bench at 13:00 needs more support devides throughout the center of the 2 boxes if holding weight. (May STILL crack under pressure)
amazing that you all hotglue fabric all the time and nail it to something. you must have no intent on washing them ever 😁😂 that's gonna be funky as hell
If you guys are just gonna come here to hate on these videos then why did you come to watch? You know that there are going to be repeated videos in these kinds of diy videos because they fit under different categories. I know the lap desk is in a ton of videos, but that just means it fit under a bunch of categories they made videos on. Love not hate make the world great 👍🏻
I guess sponge it down while you're also doing the same for the bed canopy because they glued the ends to the curtain rods so the white curtains can hang there forever...
For the headboard with the two lamps; is there a link to the lamps that they used? I can't seem to find anything similar online! I can only find lamps that connect to the mains via a direct current (which isn't really what I want) meaning they only turn on when my main bedroom light is on!
9:55 bold of you to assume I have friends...
Oof
Self roast..those are rare..👏👏😂

@@Mx.Pickle what did they do .-.
민아 its SO incredibly amazing. I wonder why they haven’t used that in a different video!!!
if you create a lap desk and have a computer on top of it, is the computer a desk top or a lap top?
That's a nice one 😂
That really is a good one
@@dishitasen7339 I agree

It is midnight, I do not need another thought to keep me awake my guy lmao
Those staples are gonna scratch the crap out of the top of that bookcase

Everybody has nightmares. Mine? They’re about that lap desk.
mine's about the headboard

ITS BACK
Hahaha made me laugh !
Cris KP im glad!
BuzzFeed is really trying to sell us on that lap desk
I think it's a shield against total strangers trying to force you to wake up early and drink tea.

Please don't do that to your books.
Diggy ikrrrrr
Cemeng Cemeng they never said you couldn't? They just said to not do it
Cemeng Cemeng It ruins the book, though.

OxfyMags yep. I did the tufted headboard one last year and ended up spending like $150 :/ and it's not very sturdy
I guess it's more satisfying to actually do it yourself tbh, and you also get the creative freedom of choosing your own fabric/wood stain/sizing etc. Idk, that's the reason I chose to DIY instead of buying lol

Wow thanks for showing us how to use LED lights what a great diy project!! Top tier content you got there BuzzFeed
This should be called 21 kinda difficult things to do
This lap desk is going be the death of me
Can even go a step further with the upside down bookshelf and superglue book ends to it.
Great now I can make a bench nine times
Imagine how buckwild it would be to have that many benches/bookshelves in one place lol.

That's a lot of work for some tie-dyed pillows...
Oooh ive seen a couple of these already but i needed new room decor ideas so this is a perfect compilation for me. Thanks buzzfeed 😁
why do you need cotton batting on top of foam? isn't the 2-inch thick foam enough?
beefeebrillate It’s to make it feel more like a seat/bench than just sitting on half hard foam. To make it more cushiony I suppose? Whatever, that’s just my opinion.

Elastic book holder--NOT decorations, nor useful. Just plain awful.
Oh, come on - I plan to strangle burglars with those nifty elastics.
And, you know, we don't even have to get out of bed to do that.

okay, first if all i fucking love you. second that's like the funniest thing alex even does
Vanessa Dow true
wait who tf is alex im lost here
what was the point in gluing the shelves if you were just going to drill them?????
I may be wrong but the wood glue usually helps a little with warping I think... idk I think I remember doing it in stage crew
It helps it not wear out and move so much after a while
More stability.
Maybe in case you don't have help so if there is nobody to hold them together for you the glue acts as another set of hands?
swear to fking god if i see that goddamn lap pillow one more time im gonna LOSE IT
THESE BLOW MY FRICKING MIND!!!!!!! THESE ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now know how to make seven different benches out of book cases.
