Jinnah was never the Prime Minister, he was rather Governor General. Ayub Khan was also not a Prime Minister, he was a 5 star general, Field Marshal and President. Similarly, Gandhi never took an official role after the independence of India, and therefore, he was never the Prime Minister either.

Roman Farooq you are right Hindustan means land of hinds but this is not the word which we gave to this land, it was the name given to us by the Persian invaders. This name was popularized by the Mughals. You will be surprised that the word Hindu too is not indigenous to this land and was given to us by Persian invaders and it means people settled around the Sindhu river. The actual name of this land was Bharat named after sage Bharat Muni. Having said that India is a secular country and I agree with Mahak Sharma.

There are fringe elements in every country, including India, so? The point is that despite these fringe elements we are able to maintain our secular ideology. There are more Hindus protesting for the rights of minorities than Muslims and if you are truly an Indian Muslim you would know that because you must have witnessed the fate of a right wing party in recent elections.
