This is one of the better roblox games, it was so much fun doing the XP/loot quests and fighting groups of mobs with the different weapons and the special abilites you could put on them. The magic was really cool and pvp battles were fantastic.
I used to be a tester for the game and the map change was necessary for lower end devices to be able to run the game. Unfortunately they should not have butchered the map this much, it should have been split into half at most.
yea another comment said this was a possible reason, and it does make sense. while i did prefer the single world, my biggest problem with the update was that it was not discussed with the community. if they had mentioned this idea before the update and allowed the players to vote on whether they wanted the change to increase the performance, or at least got some input from the community on what and how much does get changed, i feel the update would likely have been received much better. instead we get this HUGE change to one of the biggest selling points of the game seemingly out of nowhere, which ended up helping to kill the game
(im no expert even if i sound like one) The biggest problem people had before the map change was lag, with a map so big and so detailed, maintaining consistant fps while other players are loading other detailed chunks of land made playing for low end devices really bad. And when the game adds more islands like those, it will eventually become unplayable. so the most reasonable way the developers could fix that issue was to make the game into chunks that run independedly. Developers cant do anything to fix the hardware people are using to run the game. It was the only easy choice they had.
no worries, im not an expert on anything either lol, and honestly thats the first time ive heard that argument and i cant really disagree with u, that is a valid argument for the map change. while i do think that the devs should have the community vote on it instead of just doing this out of nowhere, and if they said something like u just said before hand, they might have been able to do the update without it being as detrimental to the game
i noticed the discord channels were gone a few weeks back and knew that the game was pretty much dead :( it was very fun while it lasted though.. the tournament was very fun
@@themaskedroninI'll also think of this game fondly because of all the surprising amount of people i regularly meet. It was a small community, but thats what made it fun.
@@littlecan7579 yea fr, i always enjoyed joining random crews. either theyd immediately attack me once we're out of the safe zone and id just wipe them out (i still think the frostbite rapier was the best sword ever added to the game lol) or wed go on an adventure and have just an all around fun time
