I love to hear black men tell each other they love one another ❤ thats powerful! Great show. Bodie is literally one of my favorite characters in television history. And I remember when JD was in the Lumidee Uh-Oh video lol The man is a legend!
My favorite Bodie moment was when he had to let two guys in his crew go. They asked for severance pay and Bodie looks at them in disbelief and exasperation, "You better go on before I lose my composure out dis bitch!" Haha, perfect!!
This was a great conversation. It's clear that JD actually studies, reads and knows what's going on in the industry. I agree that Taraji should be producing more projects to launch herself like Issa Rae produces but even Kerry Washington does a lot of producing (Little Fires Everywhere, The Six Triple Eight, etc). Even Queen Latifah and Regina King. I understood her frustration about being undervalued but I feel she needs to take her career into her own hands. With regard to Will Smith and Jamie Foxx, I think they're two of the best black actors right now because they do various genres well (drama, action, comedy, musical, voicing animations). I feel they study their craft along with their imitation (mimicking) game being strong.
I think alot of people relate to Body, he was a victim of circumstances! He wouldve grown up under barksdale, but marlo and crew were a whole other breed, brody had heart, them dudes were heartless and had no code! Prop Joe made a deal with the devil (gave up old face andre) and died the same way😂😢
Bodie my favorite we watched the wire all the time and we talked about each episode after it went off everybody knew bodie was my favorite I was mad when he got killed so my nephew who was little when the wire aired I guess I got on his nerve so all of a sudden he goes thats why bodie got killed I said how do you know who bodie is what are you doing watching the wire ?He said yall talked about it so much I watched it He was trying to hurt my feelings with that line .He is twenty six now and when I asked him did he remember saying it he didnt but he burst out laughing he still watches the wire now .
So many beyond-great performances are lost to young audiences because they occurred on stage. Perhaps a hard-copy distribution model (time-delayed VHS/DVD purchase) will work for future stage shows.
Ok. Different take on theater. You could also think of it as the original and ultimate form of streaming. The more people like it, the more productions of it there will be the more people will go to see it again. And with theater, you get to watch something you like, and still see something different everytime, with different t actors, sets, direction, etc. With so many lonely people from the digital divide, the chance to combine streaming something you like again and being part of a connection, if theater doesn't take off, the whole industry is fuckin up.
I watched the wire and when I seen him on there I said oh shit KENNY then years later I seen him in hak movie sex, money and you already know which hak did some sucka shit but yea I grew up to seeing him a whole lot on television
The only actor to be in Oz, Sopranos and The Wire💯💯
I always said that forever
Sopranos? When?
@@Tj11813 episode 2 when Brenden fails to rob the truck properly, he is the one wearing red
I think Law & Order, The Sopranos, The Wire and OZ must have the same Casting Director who helped select the actors. So much overlap.
All HBO shows 😂
Bodie was an incredible character, JD brought a uniqueness and authenticity to that character only he could bring. Much respect.
Finally got Bodie 🔥💯 now you gotta get Slim Charles aka Anwan Glover
Aka Big G from the Backyard Band
@@alarocheyes!!!! The best!
@@lavelljarvis8565 I said the same thing cause since season 3 he was the best character until it was over definitely need him to be interviewed
JD is a dope ass actor!

Bodie and Randy!!
That “smart ass pawn” on the chessboard.
Keep this thang going Maestro!
Randy should interview his father Cheese
Iconic interview! JD is really a timeless act. Shoutout Maestro and God is good!
This man never age. Even in the first season of the wire, he was 24 playing a 16 year old. Lol
I didn't realize he was supposed to be 16. He actually looked to be about 20.
I loved Bodie and Randy. I still watch the The Wire... ❤️❤️❤️
I still remember him as froggy in pootie tang. I love bodie character grow in season 1 until 5
I've really enjoyed binge watching your show. So glad I found it.

“I feel old” - bodie
My favorite Bodie moment was when he had to let two guys in his crew go. They asked for severance pay and Bodie looks at them in disbelief and exasperation, "You better go on before I lose my composure out dis bitch!" Haha, perfect!!
