  • WAZZUPP errbooodyyy so here is the process i had taken to complete the removal of the FULL DB killer assembly on the stock husqvarna exhaust, this process was very straight forward but had been a bit time consuming especially in the actual removal of the DB device, Remember to take out entire assembly drill very small holes around outside of the baffle welds and connect with a Dremel cutting wheel. after that process is cake !
ALSO Coat your Dremel area with nail polish or spray paint to prevent rust.
    *NOTE*
This is one way to do this mod there are other ways that may suit your needs so take this information and use it for your own process!
here is a link for another method!
    vitpilenforum....
    List of supplies needed
    1. Drill
    2.T-45 bit
    3. 13,14MM wrench
    4. Rivet gun W/ 3/16 rivet
    5. Dremel with cutting and sanding attachment
    6. Drill Bit Kit
This was how i did it, feel free to take this and use it and improve !
Thank you for watching pls like and subscribe!

The better option would have been to just cut dB killer to a shorter lenght. You wouldn't have to worry about giving it a surface finish later on.

Hi just watched your videos & loved the tail tidy one.
Have seen quite a few db killer removal videos now & the consensus seems to be to get a metal hole saw & drilling out the end of the muffler then removing the muffler from the bike to tip out the db killer & metal shavings.
So no rivet removal at all.
Anyway love your video please keep them coming

I just bought the 2021 Svartpilen and I am convinced to remove my db killer.
    I could do your process.
However, I think it would be easier to just dremmel or drill out the exit of the exhaust muffler then pull out the db killer. Doing so, I would not need to disassemble exhaust muffler and drill out & put on new rivets.
Is the process I’m thinking to do possible?
    Thanks bruh.

Im driving my vit' without the last exhaust muffler.
The Vitpilen 401 has 2 mufflers after the cat so, i think there is no harm done when driving without the last muffler.
But a little power loss is there with the removal but it aint much tbh.
The only reason why i still drive without the muffler are the pops and bangs now and then, if the bike is warm and you drive it down the street, play with the gas and shes poppin like a hero ^^

    thank you for the video.
    two questions.
If I were to.. let's say, ride it without exhaust, with cat only, would I need to remap, orrrr? I would do more offroad than intended with Svartpilen, and exhaust would get beaten on each fall to the right obviously, so keeping everything just under the bike would be cool.
also, rough estimate, how much % is it louder without the exhaust? can't tell from the video really.
    cheers!

    • @Luis-xe9yn
      @Luis-xe9yn  5 лет назад +1

stavro hey man thanks for the watch ! So since the bike is fuel injected and does have the censor in place the bike should adjust to the difference w/o the muffler. That being said if you do plan on taking this thing off-road I would look into getting something like a shorty exhaust or even a Coffman exhaust if you planning on doing some off the track riding since the cat would have a gaping exhaust hole on the bottom on your bike and you really don’t want any mud or water getting in there.
To answer your second question yes, no muffle or pipe makes this bike butt shit loud lol!! Probably like 80 %percent louder I think I put a clip of the bike w/o the muffle here definitely would get some cop attention if you road it on the road lol
