I’m a teacher in Houston, I Uber, I have my master’s, went to Grambling State, did everything right…none of that lead me to the pay that I see a SOC analyst can make. I appreciate this video. Thank you. This is crazy…of all places in the country that man could’ve been from….smh
The NOC is so boring. I barely did anything. I called ourselves "ticket monkeys" because all we did was creating tickets and kick it to tier 2 or to the network engineers. Not much troubleshooting but it was a great place to study for certs haha

Just depends on the company. If you can afford it a degree will help in the long run
