The devs clearly underestimate players like Marco. He will eventually have this game down to science if he doesn't already. Great job on the video Marco!
This video might be old, but it has helped me a lot. This is why I love RUclips. There are people like Marco that are willing to share their findings with fellow gamers. Excellent video, and made SkillPower that much more understood. Keep them coming! *Subscribed*
I learned so much about this game from watching your videos, and the way you explain everything in depth and speaking fluently without studdering and such makes it so much easier to understand. and even though your videos are long, its just more useful information to take into account. thanks for these videos man! I probably would have given up on the division a long time ago, but after watching all of your videos and understanding the game, Ive grown to love thw division and its pretty much the only game I play now hahaha. I loom forward to your next video!
Absolutely incredible that this isn't provided by the game company (at least not anywhere that I found). I (as a player in the Division) appreciate the hard work and time you devoted to figuring this out.
Just when I think I have a character build that I understand something like this comes along. I had no idea you could do something like that. Great video as always !
These are really great videos! Really helps for someone like myself who's running an electronics build. Glad to know that you can actually get under that 20s could down.
The amount of time you put into these videos is awesome, even in a game that isn't doing to good you stick with it and continue to tell us how to be the best. Keep it up:)
i gotta say im really enjoying your videos, theyre very helpful and explain things in a way i can understand keep up the good work its much appreciated
I love the amount of work you put into this video. You deserve WAY more recognition and subs for the amount of effort you put into your videos. Keep it coming!
Dude, this video was very insightful and gives a lot of useful info. It must've taken a long time to get something so precise down even if it's not 100% accurate. Just wanted to say thanks and that I appreciate it as a low level player.
Great video, thank you so much for all this infromation. My character is skill focused based on tacticians authority. This will come in very useful in working out what to re-roll.
Awesome video! It's videos like this that help us more casual players tweak there gear more efficient, instead of the long way of trail and error. At least now i know what stats do! Massive LIKE!
I assume most of that spreadsheet is going to be wrong after the "big fix" in October. Good work though, keep it up. Will you be adjusting the spreadsheet to account for the changes?
Marco, the reason you can never duplicate the signatureskill reduction is you're dealing with a conditional - it works the same for the talent commanding. If you start with 600 seconds and begin killing, the time of each kill (TOEK) determines the duration effect (4% of 600 is never the actual reduction, rather 4% of TOEK_1 ) . The quicker you make consecutive kills, the faster the reduction OR the longer the SigSkill lasts. As a consequence, IF you kill faster, you reduce faster, therefore requiring fewer kills. So if you're in a NPC dense area you can get the green T back in maybe 22 kills. YOu have an alternative tho. If you have Commanding and Dominant on your AR and and a handgun with coolheaded and toxic, you can get your T skill back in 60 seconds - that seems to be the minimum duration allowable for a T. You start with a shock or fire grenade, spam the first NPC with 10 handgun shots (50% max reduction, but 30% in 4 seconds is great, reduces Timeremaing to 420 seconds) Then kill the other NPCS w AR. 10 NPCs in 30seconds knocks 75% off (420-30) = about 130 seconds. Repeating w handgun reduces 130 to 90 seconds. 10 more NPCS in 30secs reduces that 90 to 15. Handgun to finish. You can always test in the range for strictly coolheaded effect.
Hi MarcoStyle, first of all nice video man ! Just a Question ? Do you know if the Chest Talent that decreases Healing cooldown can be added on top of Skill Power and Skill haste ? would be really interresting if this would be added on the 20 sec or if it would be on the Final CD ( Skillpower+Skillhaste downtime) btw sry for bad English it´s not my Main Speach :D So keep up the good work!
Since you tested so much about this, does the Determined talent also affect the Signature Skill cooldowns (I read somewhere that it does, but only the Tactical Link one, not the Survival Link one).
I really enjoy your videos and appreciate all the work that must go into testing and production. I invested a lot of time, energy and Phoenix Credits in Striker's Battlegear, even though I know it's very underwhelming, especially compared to Sentry's Call. The only silver lining I've found was with my shotgun. Do you think Striker can be saved and how would you save it? Thanks
I suspect Resource Gain is tied to XP gain, rather than the kills itself. You won't see this at level 30, put every time you use a skill you gain some XP, which would explain why you gain some signature resource when you use a heal. You can test this by checking if you get any resource gain when you give supplies to civilians.
hey Marco,i really enjoy your videos and admire the work you do researching the game's mechanics. i was wondering if you could do a video explaining the 'rogue status' economy system in the DZ. does it pay off to go rogue even if you don't survive the timer? i think it does.
In my opinion, it is worth it. The gains you make from a more powerful pulse or more healing or better Smart Cover makes up for it. Especially with a team, you should always have at least one skill power built member.
+MarcoStyle doesn't tactical link have some hidden perk where its' duration gets extended for every kill? Also, you should test the talent commanding if possible. It doesn't work at all.
Marco, I cannot access your google-drive document (or the file share location) anymore. Any chance you can re-point me to where I can find this document? I get an error stating the link/file doesn't exist anymore.....
The signature resource gain is different every time because the time when you get kills are always different for each runs, and it has a ongoing resource gain cooldown time while you're killing. You might need to make a video, mark each time when you get a kill, and minus the current cooldown rate to get a consistent time/kills ratio. However, I think it's too much work, and would just recommend you to set "least amount of NPC kills" to get the cooldown up on average because that's more practical. It is a PvEvP game after all.
I believe the signature resource gain on kill happens faster when kills are closer together. So if you kill 5 over 10 seconds it will be less signature gain than 5 kills over 5 seconds.
Will you be doing a video similar to this but for scavenging? I know it would probably take you a really long time to get the specific info but I was just wondering if scavenging has a cap at 100% like the skill haste or what the actual improved drop rates are based on the scavenging percentage. I would appreciate if you would consider this and keep up the good vids man.
+TineCraftGaming Scavenging is pure shit ATM. It is useful prior to being a lvl30 but it only increases your chances of turning a green drop into a blue or a blue into a purple. It has some use when doing the open box simulator of grabbing electronics or tools in the open world. Since they upped the drop rate of gold to 100% for named bosses. Scavenging is basically a wasted stat except in a few specific areas named above.
Noted but I mainly use it for the materials anyway and was wondering if getting two nomad gear pieces was worth it since I already have 113ish scavenging
+MarcoStyle, Great video! You could do your calculation by just killing one enemy and then doing the math from how much your signature cooldown was reduced. That might get you to a point where you could figure up how many enemies it would take (in theory) to get your signature skill back.
+MarcoStyle I 100% agree that they should make this information pubic. I did a similar spreadsheet on Crit Chance a couple of weeks ago. I have been telling everyone to not take crit chance on SMGs because of the diminishing returns when using pulse and savage. It becomes a huge wasted opportunity. Great video!
Thanks for the info. As a Skill based player I'm grateful for the time you've spent figuring out the calculations so I didn't have to.
God, you deserve so much more subs, views and likes. You are one of the only youtubers I know that puts so much work in videos. Good work man.
Your effort is impeccable Marco. Keep it up.
The devs clearly underestimate players like Marco. He will eventually have this game down to science if he doesn't already. Great job on the video Marco!
dude i seriously have max respect for you right now...... like MAX!!!!!!!
Watching this in 2018, and man I’m going to miss your division videos. 😢 end of an era. ❤️ thanks for all these videos. 👍 You’re a very smart guy. 👏

Marco, the level of detail you go to is fantastic.
Appreciate all the effort you put into producing these types of videos. I enjoy getting into the "geek side" of the Division (the stats and numbers).
Just wanted to say your work is so good. I really appreciate it.
Absolutely incredible that this isn't provided by the game company (at least not anywhere that I found).

Another great video man. Love your In Depth Series.
great job man. i heard you on the Podcast. really enjoyed it!

wow so in depth, thanks marco im glad i stayed around and can't wait what you'll do with other games your going to be interested in, zie je later!

This video has so much info for the normal player to handle.
All quality though.
Keep it up man 👍
Bad ass video. Extremely well done.
15 min videos with that much info? I don't see that anywhere else on RUclips, keep it the way it is bro
Highly Informative Thank you for taking the time to make these spreadsheets!
Remember kids, the only difference between screwing around and science, is Writing it down.
+VeKay hahahaha i really like that xD
Mike Sevilla And when in doubt.. C4
+VeKay and if that doesn't work. ....360 QUICK SCOPE!!! LOL

Man!!!! @marcostyle - your videos are ON POINT! There is no one better than you at this in my opinion. If so, please do tell me...because DAM!
Genius! Always looking forward to your vids
Dude, you are awesome. Thank you for the effort. Great work!!
Another Great in depth Video! Thanks Marco.
Awesome work! How did I miss this one?!! Thanks for researching this!
Great video! Hard to believe you have a Teal piece with 3 gear slot mods! Talk about a lucky drop! Congrats!
That is really in depth ! Amazing stuff :)
I assume most of that spreadsheet is going to be wrong after the "big fix" in October. Good work though, keep it up. Will you be adjusting the spreadsheet to account for the changes?
Awesome a game enthusiast and a math enthusiast, you're a smart dude
It may be hard but you are doing a great job! Keep up the good work

Waroom spel je dit noog?
Thanks for your time marco great work
Amazing video! Looking forward to the next one!
if ubisoft would so much effort into their games like u do in your videos the games would be soooo much better :D
Excellent work, very useful information in the video
Much appreciated Marco. Good work!!

thumbs up for the effort :) keep up the good work! Tactician's here I come
+MarcoStyle keep up the great work man. Super in depth guides are the best!

Marco love the video. One question , is the skills haste or 45 k skill build worth the hit to dps ? Awesome work thank you

Great research, underappreciated. Keep it up!
Very thorough. Thanks!
Very interesting even though it's outdated. Would definately like a new video on the subject. Especially around signature skills resource gain.
WOW MarcoStyle really impressed, you should play poker, you would make so much money. I left a BIG like on this great video keep up the good work.
Keep up the great work, much appreciated
In which rendering software have you made this ? Sony Vegas or Premiere Pro ? :)
Dos you pass yourmaths final by 50% skill haste or something?
Such a good video. Keep the nice work ^^
I try to keep up with your math but man... you are good at what you do..
how did you get your shield , I was looking for a way to get one
Great vid. How does the talent cool headed on the caduceus play into the cooldown?
Use the talent "Skilled". It increase the signature resource gain by 10-12% per hs kill. I get my signature skill back every 5-7 hs kill on A.I.
Great video, keep up the good work!
+MarcoStyle doesn't tactical link have some hidden perk where its' duration gets extended for every kill? Also, you should test the talent commanding if possible. It doesn't work at all.

Marco do you want to make a video about stats. Because what is the best to focus on, on DPS, health or skill power.
Thanks for the great video and your hard work

I really enjoy your vids marco, division is bleeding out ...... what game are you doing next??
Knowing how skill power and recharge works now can you make an electronic build video?
On my pulse scrambler I have 21.50s duration and a cool down of 20.80 and yet the cool down is somehow slower when I activate the pulse
Good work my friend!
Hello! Can you explain what the point of the shooting range?
great help with all the information
I really like your voice. Very nice video editing as well. Also like that you're very much into math.
You guys should date
+couchpoet1 ikr!
Wow. Cheers Mstyle!
