I've seen this museum in person my 18th bday my mom and dad live in statesville which isn't that far from welcome where rcr is located it is amazing getting to see all the cars up close and personal and it was a bittersweet memory for me cause my whole entire childhood I watched dale earnhardt race with my poppa daddy and now both poppa daddy and dale eaenhardt are up in heaven there will never be another dale earnhardt
I wonder what year that transport truck was at 6:30? Rcr brought a backup truck to our dealership in 1992. Dale was to make a personal appearance, but scheduling conflicts prevented it. the truck used then was a GMC topkick.
I went to the original museum back in the 80s - might be the same building - before all of the Luminas and other stuff was there. Got to watch them unload a car Neil Bonnet had wadded up. The shop guys looked at it and "Fuck it" and went back into the shop.
This is the place to be, where a legend was formed to drive black and other associated stock car's involved with the number 3 Some folk's are not into it some are part time just to watch the spectacle of nascar racing or to watch just to pass the time away or if you were just me in the 1970's and remember what you've watched back then during those time's of boredom day's well I remember of watching abc's wide world of sport's I think the Indianapolis 500,,
If they saved all these cars I hope they saved the car he died in as it was. Gruesome and depressing as it is that car would probably be worth more than any of these other cars. It may sill be to soon, but someday seeing the car that the legendary intimidator died in would be well worth the cost of admission . And like priceless art would be a top prize in auto sports collecting . Sick and sad but true ! RIP Dale . Hope you are having a good time somewhere with Neal fishing or hunting or racing . NASCR hasn't been the same without you guys.
That's not true. It was never left out in the elements covered by a tarp. That car is exactly where it's been for the past 17 after Richard Childress got it back.
@@cottonto5 Doing that million dollar investigation they cut that car up good. Look up the investigation report and look at those photos. All the sheet metal from the doors forward was cut off the car.
Awesome video. This is probably as close as I'll ever get to being there. Thank you for sharing.
I like how in the background you can hear “the day remembering Dale Earnhardt” and the movie “DALE “
Prior to Gen-7, all NASCAR race cars/trucks used Ford transmissions and rear differentials. Xfinity series and trucks series still do.
I had a dream years ago that I was here, I've never seen this place till now.
I've never been to the RCR Museum but damn it looks awesome compared to most NASCAR team museums aside from maybe Richard Petty's, awesome video!

Dale Sr never owned any of them. RCR owned them all.
