I love adding pigment powder or gel polish to builder gel! The IBD clear is awesome. Super strong, crystal clear, love the consistency and its really affordable. Great video!
@@samanthalegall6272 No matter what type of product or enhancement you use, you always want to prep your nails by pushing the cuticle back and gently buffing any dead skin that is stuck to the natural nail. Some people don't use primer, but I recommend doing so as an assurance to avoid any issues with lifting. If you are applying any type of gel products, whether it's hard/builder gel, polygel or gel polish, you must apply a base coat or it won't stick to the natural nail. Hope this helps you!
@@samanthalegall6272 Hmmmm. Let's see if we can figure it out. A few more tips that may help: You need to make sure your natural nails are completely dry. Don't do them right after taking a shower or doing dishes. A dehydrator will help pull any moisture from your nails. Make sure you are not over filing your natural nails when prepping. Just a very light buff to remove shine and any skin around the cuticle that may be stuck to the nail plate. If you file too much, product will not stick. What primer are you using? For heavy lifters 2 coats is best. But apply sparingly. You don't want to flood the cuticle area or that can cause lifting. When applying the base coat, apply very thin layer and really "scrub" it in to the nail bed. If you apply too thick, it will cause lifting. If your natural nails are thin or brittle, I suggest using a rubber base coat like the one Lissette sells, as it more flexible than regular base coat and will bend with the natural nail. Don't remove the tacky layer from the base coat before applying the polygel or hard gel. Make sure you don't get any gel or polygel on the skin, if you do clean before curing. Make sure you file the cuticle area flush after application, this will seal the area to prevent lifting. Make sure your LED lamp is strong enough to fully cure the gel products. Just because all the lights turn on doesn't mean it's working. Bulbs dim after time. I replace my lamp every year. They don't last forever. Lastly, just like anything, it takes time and practice and sometimes a little troubleshooting. Everyone is different. Some require dehydrator, some don't....you have to find what works for you by trial and error. Don't give up! I had a lot of lifting in the beginning. I found I was applying the base coat too thick, and over filing my natural nails when prepping. I also either under filed or over filed around the cuticle area after application. It just took practice to get it right. I'd love to know what primer you are using, and whether you use full cover or half tips. What do you use to apply the tips (glue or base coat?). Do you apply tips to your nails before any product such as primer or base coat? Where is the lifting occurring? Is it in the middle of the nail or around the cuticle area? If we have a little more information we may be able to help you troubleshoot better. 💕💕💕💕
