Your garden is looking so good, Brooke. I'm like you. I love gardening but I need a break right about now. I still have 3 banana trees and 4 elephant ears to plant, but they're all in 4 inch pots, so shouldn't take long. I keep saying I'm done for the season, then I bring home more plants.
I’m actually just chilling for the next week or so as I pre-recorded everything. It’s been raining the last few days today’s beautiful so that’ll help me not have to water so I’m really getting a break. Take your time. Nobody’s watching us. We just think we need to get it done.

I bought one of the orange flowers buy with a darker colored throat. OMG its gorgeous planted in same pot with a purple speckled petunia. I love my flowers. Your place is looking so nice! Are you a landlord/owner of this property. Such a smart way to navigate retirement as a single person. My mom did this and we are now Landlords. I was amazed at what my mom could do herself. From laying floors and tiles besides painting and decorative painting. Her tenants were lucky. Always something to do though.

Oh, this goes on for like 2 1/2 weeks and then it goes on again when the cherries trap it’s just crazy like two months of it.

Hello Brooke, gardening is a labour of love and all your hard work is starting to pay off. The Hosta looks like curls of ribbon you find on gifts and it looks perfect next to the fern. Cannot wait to see them all in full bloom. I must say though, every time you mention the "Creeping Jenny" I imagine some woman crouching behind a tree or fern waiting to pop out unannounced. It makes me laugh every time. You've done a wonderful job with the garden. And you absolutely deserved your steak dinner which I was, of course, salivating over. Your garden is looking amazing! I noticed you're eating so healthy, when I switched to whole foods (animal protein and fats no carbs, no sugar) I lost a lot of weight and now healthier than I've ever been, no inflamation and off all meds! Have a happy day!

Hello Brooke. Boy you accomplished a lot today in the garden. Glad you knew when to stop. It's looking really good. Yes it's a whole summer's worth of work. Your steak looked yummy I may take one out of the freezer, we had ribeye on sale which never happens.

Hi Brooke, your shade garden is beautiful and growing fast. I live in southwest Texas so our summers are super hot. We hit 109 last Sunday. My favorite plants are banana plants, elephant ears, philodendron, palms and foxtail ferns. They take the heat better than lots. I’m 75 and health hasn’t been good since Jan so I’ve cut down on trying to do so much. I’m lucky I have a covered deck and patio and large old oak trees to add shade to my yard and mini tropical island. My son and daughter in law had an awesome sprinkler system installed so I’m not having to drag hoses over my grass. A friend who is mid 50s does propagation and gave me 8 established plants for my island and deck. I miss not being able to do as much as I used to. I bought me 2 filet mignon for today. They are easier for me to chew. I put each one on a sheet of foil, season them, add bay leaf, chunks of onion and potato. I close them and bake for one and half hrs. My mom always cooked her meats this way I didn’t mean to say so much about me.
I do love the way you find items at the thrift stores to decorate with. And your shade garden and treehouse garden are beautiful and inviting. I’ve shared your channel with 4 of my vintage lady friends. Once everything is planted the way you want you’ll be able to enjoy chilling a little. Have a blessed day and pace yourself. Well, they’re in the jar for now. I’ll just give them away to someone because I can’t seem to fit them in anywhere that I like and they’re way too cheap feeling to be on my sofa for my liking. It’s probably why I like vintage. The fabrics were a lot better.🍃🌸

We’ve been getting rain at night so it’s really nice in the day. Love that because then you don’t have to water. The next few weeks will be pre-recorded for me because I’m taking a whole week off without doing anything. I’m not going anywhere. No, but I guess we love it. I’m the mistake. Maybe eight minutes but I like mine cooked pretty well. I’d say between 6 to 8 minutes.

Everything looks awesome! Do you have to plant everything new each year or are most of the things perennials that you’re planting?
Oh, and the lower garden it’s all perennials except for the impatience, but in the treehouse it’s all annuals because they would never survive our winters in a pot. I did manage to keep my wisteria, but I really had to baby it and wrap her up really good that was Work within itself.🍃🌸🦋

All my pots have drainage if they don’t, I drill them in. yes I think it’s very necessary or you could get rot very easy if they don’t have it just take a drillbit to it. It takes two seconds.
