Nutritious, easy to make Fig Rolls Recipe by Chef Amrita Raichand

- Figs are great for your kid's tummy, and these rolls are an easy way to get them to eat this nutritious fruit! Try this amazing, delicious step by step recipe for fig rolls by chef Amrita Raichand
Ingredients:
-Multigrain bread slices -6
-Figs - 4(medium size)
-Sugar-2tbsp
-Water-2tbsp
- Butter-2tbsp
Walnuts 3-4
Melted dark chocolate for dipping the rolls
-Melted white chocolate for decoration
Method
-Roughly chop the figs & add them to a hot pan, along with sugar & water. Allow it to cook till it becomes pulpy.
-Now add the coarsely crushed walnuts, mix well & take it off the heat.
-Let the mixture cool.
-Take a bread slice, cut the edges off, apply a little water & flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
-Now add the figs mixture on one side of the bread slice & roll it to close the edges.
-In a hot pan add butter & oil & shallow fry the pockets till golden brown.
-Now melt some chocolate & dip one side of the roll(after letting it cool) in it. Allow it to set a little. Decorate with white chocolate & serve immediately.

Yes you can but sugar levels of dried figs are very high so just be mindful of that ❤️

Any substitute of breads? My kids hv gluten intolerance
You can turn this into a porridge by using some millet flour or gluten free oats if you like. Ofcourse then it won’t be rolls anymore 😅 or just use gluten-free bread which is easily available nowdays ❤️
