I hate all of the plastic fastners on my mini as well as the way they were implemented. Almost as they were never ment to be removed. As someone who does a lot of mods to cars it frustrating to remove the cheap but very expensive plastics on my 2011 R55 turbo.
Unfortunately I had to just break them out. I don't think there's any other way from the research I did. Just be careful when doing it though because you can really bend the metal.
Thanks for this video. It's helped me out massively. 👍
To not break the clips you remove the wheel and arch liner. Then you can compress the clips to get them out.
Cheers for this. Really helpful. Was cautious about smashing out the clips, but it's the only way.
Glad I could help!
Wow great content Ben! Glad to see you keeping at it

great video, thanks. In future productions, please speak either closer to the mic or louder. Barely audible over the soundtrack.
Thanks! I'll work on it for future videos
Where did you get the replacement arches buddy?
Thanks for the video. It's helpful. Does the rear fender work the same way or are the clips different?
Glad you found it useful! All 4 arches use the same clips. If I were you I'd buy some extras as they break fairly easily
Do you have to sand down the plastic wheel arch to take the paint
Where you ordered those? And how to matched with your car color?
Hey great stuff! Where’d you get the fasteners?
Pretty sure I got everything from eBay. They were fairly cheap you just have to know what to search for!
Did you paint over the plastic wheel arch
How did you remove the clips?? I can't figure out how to pop them out.

@@jigmonkey99 ah I see, thank you so much for the answer!
@@scarwuvschuu7370 No worries!
What did you use to break the clips out?
I just used a metal trim removal tool. I did scratch up the metal underneath though so there's probably a better way to do it.
where did u get them at???
Got them used on eBay. Finding the right colour in decent condition took a while though!
Too much music in the background could barely hear the instructions 👎
Speak up goddamit
You need picking up in the morning pal? x
😭
Why did you say fuck the NHS while you were fitting the arches? They're going through some really tough times right now
