I’ve been trying to make this video for a while, and while there’s definitely more reasons for my changes on RUclips, I’d rather talk about why I started in the first place.
At first I just wanted to post videos so that I could look back and remember the people I hung out with and the things I did. That manifested a couple times into a specific focus: Lego, and then fish 🐠
Around 10 years later, I’m at the point where I understand how this all works a little better. You don’t always get what you want when you pour into things like this, so at some point you have to gauge it how much you give is imbalanced with what you get back.
I work at a pet store, and my goal there, as it is here, is to educate and build relationships with people who share my interest in living aquatic systems. Helping people is also why I go to school, and so you can’t expect me to stop responding to comments on here or to never make a video again 😉
What you can expect, is that I’m gonna start slowing down and enjoying the things that I had been so wrapped up in filming for algorithm’s sake. My future with Hope is so much more important to me than any of this, and I’m beyond willing to give it all up for her. That said, she loves filming with me! So when the time is right and the dust has settled, we will be back again to see *you* guys, ‘next’ Sunday 😊💙
This could be a great change for you! I've seen this progression in a lot of successful pet youtubers. You start out showing off new pets but that's not sustainable in the long term. Then they start doing care videos, store tours, etc.
You are one person. You're in school, you have a job, you have a family, you have other hobbies/projects/goals. It's not fair to compare yourself to people who do this full time.
I'm looking forward to the occasional videos. You *are* too good to stop. But enjoy your offline life too!
Thank you! I will. You’ve been here for such a long time, and so much of my appreciation for my subscribers is embodied in my appreciation for your comments :)
Great logic wisdom and discernment. Really proud of your willingness to put first things first. 👊🏻
You are way too hard on yourself. You also do not have a camera person , editing person etc! You have a life and family. You have an amazing relationship and it does not need to be all over the web. You need to enjoy what you are doing. We appreciate anything you put out. So be proud of what you have accomplished. Take care of yourself and your lovely lady Hope! Happy to know you and met you. YOU HAVE THE POWER!
Thanks man, it was cool to have met you as well. It was a tough decision to make, but I think the results will be in service to everyone.
Hey if you want both quality and quantity then ig you just have to start delegating your work either it be editing or thumbnail design etc or have to plan vids way in advance,
Anyways I stumbled upon your channel recently and I like your content.
Also maybe start youtube shorts its blowing up anyways and it's compatitively less work
@@rohitsai2533 thanks for watching! I’ve thought about shorts, but I’m not in a rush for more views/subs at the moment. Although little feeding videos do sound fun
Awh.
