    Slight correction to Bricky's lecture.
Birth of Slaanesh happened at the end of Unification Wars and not the start of Age of Strife. Eldar debauchery and Slaanesh's gestation in The Warp is what caused the warpstorms and isolated humanity's worlds.
Age Strife began after the Cybernetic Revolt of the AI. Age of Strife ended with The Unification Wars of Terra and when the wars ended Slaanesh was born and with it's birth the warpstorms, that isolated humanity, were cleared.
30:00 Also Bricky just skipping Malcador the Sigillite, his regent, confidant and closest friend and his sacrifice as "quickly allowing someone else take control of the throne". It was both incredibly epic and sad.

As a guard player I once dropped a nuke on my own troops and didn’t even bat an eye at it, only ever contemplating the fact that despite me losing twenty troopers my only real regret was that it costed me four chaos marines, and yet the I still carried on regardless

Luetin's 09 video series about Warhammer 40k is the best and most informative way to understand this world. Suggest start with Necrontyr - Eldar - The Emperor of Man and The Rise of Humanity.

If you like the way Bricky does lore, I would suggest checking out the Adeptus Ridiculous podcast, which he co-hosts. There's a lot of material he covers there, and with his typical comedic stylings. If you're curious about anything particular in the 40K setting, there's a decent chance he has a vid at least touching on it there. In any even, I'm enjoying these lore reaction vids.
Btw, I'm definitely up for watching painting vids if/when you pick up some units. Terrain creation can be fun, too. There's plenty of vids on 40K terrain creation out there to get you started, and neither painting units for the table nor terrain creation is as complicated as you might think. It's really just the expense of the units which can be a bit difficult to bear.

    Okay, about books and games:
1.Ci-ci-Ciaphas Cain! Hero of Wh40k comedy! I highly recommend this book series for a beginner, as it not only shows all the Warhammer factions at least once, but it's just a funny adventure! All you have to Google when reading is the names of the equipment and enemies to better visualize, everything else you learn there! To work up an appetite, I can recommend one lore videos on the topic, from PancreasNoWork.
2.ORKS!ORKS!ORSK! If you're asking what kind of game I'd like to see from a fellow ork fan, I'd beg for "shotas blood and teef" (that video sequence when Bricky mentioned orks). It conveys the essence of the orks super well, this is what inspired me to try to create an okc axe, claw and guns (mostly WIP). I don't know what else to say, it's cool. Maybe try to find an ork lore video, Bricky didn't tell you a lot of fun. :)

What 40k game you wanna play really just depends on what genre you like.
    Mechanicus
    Rogue Trader (RPG)
    Darktide
Are my top 3. I just finished a playthrough of Rogue Trader and really enjoyed it. It’s a long game with tons of content. If you want something with a bit more scale I’d highly recommend it.

Officially (and for the longest time in the lore), Horus was the first recovered Primarch. However, a recent novel from the perspective of Alpharius says *he* was the first, having landed on Terra. Though, a pinch of salt might be required, since it (more or less) ends with "This is my record, and all records lie."

Don't know much about Horus Rising or Gaunts Ghost but I did listen to Ciaphas Cain and Infinate and Divine. Definetly Ciaphas Cain. It is one of the few 40k books that is more of a comedy series and helps ease new people into the setting. Tho I heard Horus Rising is super good.

If you are looking for more stuff to react to from 40k universe, check "Astartes Project". Originally by Syama Pedersen, though the actual original version was taken down and his channel taken over by Games Workshop (seriously, there is a special place in hell for GW's legal team)
It's a cca 15minutes of a cinematic masterpiece depicting a space marine boarding party in action. Done as a passion project by a fan, it was so good that Syama got "Plata o plomo" kind of deal by GW

You have enough knowledge you could jump into any book. You might miss some of the details but the more specific ones.
On the books, unless you want to do the whole Hersey I wouldn't start with Horus Rising. The other three though are good starts. I'd also suggest Helsreach for some Orks or Dark Imperium for post Cadia. There's more recent books but for the things you've watched I don't think I'd start with them.
