I cant believe they're catering to Blender users! More of that please!!
It’s basically a tricked out 3DS tech for the screen
And this is a bad thing
2:36 is where you see the tech. Before that it's simulation. Basically this is like the no 3D glasses required Nintendo 3Ds but on a larger scale and higher resolution!
Is it just me or does it remind me of dynamic perspective from the fire phone
Very similar to the Nintendo 3DS display. I understand the 3D effect only works in a sweetspot for someone sitting in front of the laptop but I hope one day we can get glasses-free 3D for TVs whose 3D effect can be enjoyed from anywhere in the room. Thats the main reason 3D TVs flopped on the market, nobody wants to wear special glasses while watching content. Not to mention the glasses method gives a lot of people a headache because it was designed based on the “average” distance between people’s eyes on their face to create the parallax effect. For people whose eyes are a few mm closer or further apart, it causes problems. People with epilepsy also had seizures because the glasses were flashing alternating images at 240fps. 120fps video to one eye and slightly different 120fps video to the other eye confuses the brain and can cause a seizure
Fantastic!! If this really work, its a small step to put this tech in other devices like TVs, smartphones, smartwatches, cars.... you name it!!!!
It works but for one person only, sadly it uses will be limited.
It does really work.. didn’t you watch the video
If we go by the performance of Webcams in a laptop, it's definitely gonna suck...
“Allow me to introduce you spatialASS”
This is amazing !!
Imagine this being compatibile with 3DS Emulators
very intimate device...🍾
When will this laptop come out? I really want it.
a big 3DS?
Of course there is the fine print. --rolls eyes--
When will it be on tv and pc Monitors screens.
Well that wasn't a sleek, smooth, punchy pitch.. so it can't be a Swindle. I'm in.!
Can we please get this for gaming
You must be in dark to experience it
When is it out gaddammit!!!
What about more 2 or 3 people seeing the screen? Will the optical system be able to adjust for each person... Or only one at a time?
No
If this was on tv this would sell like hotcakes.
This already was on TV and even on phones but it didn't get anywhere. What they are marketing here is nothing new. It's a scam.
Passive one like on Nintendo 3ds works only if you are directly in front of it in specific sweetspot, this one is active but it will work for one person at the time only, it will be useless on family TV, as the Sahil mentioned we had passive lenses on TV and laptops before and they didn't get anywhere.
@@randomnickify I remember the 3ds shame this gimmick did not get anywhere at that time.🙄😒
That was a short fad 10 years ago
Apple: quick! write that down!!
the end is near!
1:12 what a perfect face
so it has bigun. Nintendo had it on 3ds and soon it’ll be on everything
@@marioferreira7605 Obviously its not the same tech. Its been 10 years since the 3ds has been released. Technology has advanced drastically throughout the years.
Cool, just 10 years late
Stereo picture
let me know when i can see the the 3d model STANDING BEHIND THE LAPTOP
2011 Nintendo called.
I hope one day we wil get to see this feature in Games
will see
Track ir
latest Nintendo 3ds used eye tracking too, but it was too late, the bad reputation was installed already :(
@@Freakhealer 3ds got patent trolled to death. Not sure if people still holding to these patents now.

Apple in 2040 : lemme introduce you guys the historic milestone of acer in 2021 at a price of 2100. In just apple way 🤣😆
Great marketing but this is not even close to a "3D Display" this is facial tracking and model movement based on eye location. Cool for sure but not even remotely accurate to the name
they said "stereoscopyc" that invalidates your statement :P
Now go google what a " lenticular lens display" is, this is proper stereoscopic 3d. This things are not exactly new, Nintendo 3ds is using one, this is just an active display.
It's both combined
The only thing that matters is how the brain perceives an image. Whether it's truly 3D or not doesn't matter. Keep in mind our vision is stereoscopic anyway. Just like we can only see 3 colors and thus the sub pixels of displays only produce 3 colors instead of the entire rainbow.
5:37 pretty much shows a stereoscopic frame captured from outside.
Why does this feel like clickbait?
Ur south african
Now watch as Michael Jennings reverse engineers the crap out of that acer and renders it obsolete.
-Paycheck film
jarvis version 0.00001
This technology is from the movie Paycheck... i think Ben Affleck is responsible for this.
3d getting confused tracking my lazy eyes 🤣🤣🤣
why not just use vr/ar?
So you don’t have to put on glasses or any headset
The whole point is so that you don't have to use AR VR
wut!
So a 3ds .. Not new
Sharp was selling mobile phones and cam-corders with 3D (paralax-stereo) displays back in 2010. No glasses were needed.
The tech isn't new, the capacity increases every few years with new marketing each time.
@@sws212 I wonder, how that postulate or industry market graphs are derived. You would not find not just a TV, or a mobile with 3D(aka stereo) screen, but even a manufactured panel by part number on the market for the past 7 years. How a capacity of anything absolutely absent on the market can grow? Seems like a big industry scam oriented on ignorant investors.
The host is so attractive; about 10 years ago. Smoking.
😂😂🤣🤣🤣 1st looks like graphic. Then after 3d real expected real 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
This is not true stereoscopic 3D. You need motion to perceive depth. The same reason why chickens constantly bob their heads. True depth perception does not require motion.
bs
Just another gimmick TBH
Haha nope I'll stick with vastly more immersive VR headset vs this clunky gimmick. 3D screens were popular 10 years ago but literally no one uses them now. VR on the other hand will replace every device in your house
How's a headset less clunky than a screen? Plus this simply has different applications. This is great for modeling and perhaps even office use when they adapt current interfaces. Seeing 3D without glasses even if only in a box is a really powerful concept and I hope their tech is truly convincing.
Modeling with a VR headset (HMD) Let's you directly interact with the object with your hands and is 100x more immersive than this screen. In this video at the bottom right in impossibly tiny fine print it says everything is simulated. The 3D effect from the flat monitor is greatly exaggerated and would be much less impressive in person. You have to basically sit directly in front so you aren't able to walk 360° around an object like VR. I use a VR HMD daily and have done extensive modeling with it as well as on a *regular* 4k 12bit HDR curved display with Maya/z-brush/blender/etc. VR is infinitely faster to iterate get a sense of scale and depth not possible with a screen. Goggles will eventually scale down to glasses size as many companies are testing currently. One we have ultra portable low profile AR/VR regular screens will become obsolete.
Once quantum computers take over (soon!) they'll be able to replace all existing computers and stream content to low power consuming AR/VR glasses which means glasses won't require beefy interal components to render everything themselves therefore use less energy.
The 1# factor that's going to necessitate the move from computers is the vast shortage of semiconductors affecting every area of electronics including vehicles. This shortage is predicted to last at least 2 more years. And electronic waste is a massive pollutant and a huge environmental concern. Removing the need to purchase computers every few years and things like monitors and TVs is going to solve the growing problem. It's absolutely inevitable and many tech manufacturers are going to go bankrupt unless they prepare now
this honestly sucks
