Maybe as a thank you, you could move him up to the top of the waiting list? Then maybe me too since I am suggesting this right now (though I did just order a PoT to hold me over). 😉
I got my KOT years ago when the wait list was only about a year and a half. Unfortunately I just couldn’t bond with it and sent it back!!! But I half liked it, so I bought a POT. It was “okay” and while I kept it, I preferred other pedals and it disappeared into my pedal abyss. Currently I’m in the process of liquidating anything I no longer use, and pulled out the POT to “make sure” I don’t want it. HOLY CRAP I LOvE this pedal now! It’s now 1 of 2 OD pedals on my board. Sure wish I’d kept that KOT too...
Hey Jackson, just wanted to check back in on this video and let you know I picked up a PoT today, largely because of this demo. Thanks for putting out such a great in-depth video on it! Have only had it on the board for a short time this afternoon but am supremely happy with it. Really think you did all 3 modes justice. I’ve personally been loving the boost mode with gain cranked stacked into a Hudson Broadcast. Keep it up dude!
i’ve been a KoT user for a while and it’s amazing. run the PoT/KoT at 18v though if you want the maximum dynamic range out of it. i run my Broadcast at 24v into my KoT at 18v and it’s insane.
I’ve been on the waiting list for 3 years and 2 months. I estimate another 7-9 months before I can place my order. Pretty ridiculous for a metal box and some resistors soldered to a pcb.
Great demo! Although your rig is different to mine, based on this vid I would say the PoT definitely has the same characteristics as the KoT - they sound very similar to my ears. The most important thing (to me anyway!) is that it's very difficult to dial in a bad tone with the PoT (and KoT)! I reeeally like how the external mode toggle switch is standard on the PoT - this is an optional extra on the KoT...I debated about ordering it, but decided not to bother in the end. I found myself setting both sides of my KoT to Overdrive mode (soft clipping) and forgetting about the dipswitches...who wants to look around for a screwdriver mid-jam?!! I have the higher gain red side, but to be honest I prefer the lower gain (yellow) side and tend to use it more. I'm currently running a Hudson Broadcast and/or Sun Face into the KoT, and the KoT just makes everything sound great!! Would be awesome to see some stacking demos - I really loved your recent Milkman demo, and I see a TS-9 on your board too ;) Keep up the great work!!
Yeah it's relatively transparent. This is more of a blues breaker type overdrive whereas the tumnus is more of a klon. You could substitute the two but you would get a different flavour
Great demo, I hope you don't mind that I posted it on our Facebook page.
Awesome! Thank you so much

Just wanted to mention that plastic jacks are not only not a bad thing, but are often preferred. They help eliminate ground loops within the pedal.
Interesting! Makes a lot of sense actually
Demo still holds up December 2024. 💪🏽 Well done mate

Awesome story! I think the POT is great.... I've been on the waitlist now for the King for well over 3 years

Legend dude! Thanks so much for letting me know. I hope you enjoy the pedal and that sounds like a great combo, I'm going to have to try that
Would love Jackson to demo some gain stacking with POT and Hudson Broadcast, just saying!
Not a bad tone to be had! That 3-way toggle makes it such a versatile pedal
I bought my PoT few weeks ago and it´s great overdrive. Maybe I´ll get KoT in future, but still have to wait 2,5 year.
Nice one!

I like it! Sounds great!
Cool demo. Nice run through of the tones.
Cheers dude!
Wow, I really like the Boost mode on the pedal. With the drive way low it almost has a nice Nobels sound to it. Very nice.
@THE AMAZING ZED Nobels is far superior to any Tubescreamer. Just ask Nashville--it's on every board.
Thanx, good demo, nice pedal.

I've also been on the list for a similar amount of time... It sucks
Prince of tone is one half of the king of tone with the high gain, FYI.
Got me missing my dang V40. That sounds amazing.
Cheers! It’s a great amp

any pedal would sound good with that amp and guitar...use it with a squire and a vox ac15...sounds like the boost setting is the best
Spot the dog at 5.00!
Nice demo. Is this pedal kinda of transparent? Can be a substitute for a tumnus?

Get the duke of tone mrx
Let's hear some Single Coils...
Do you prefer this or the Browne Protein?
Protein
Are you on overdrive setting?
Hey man, I go through all three setting in this video.... Boost, overdrive and distortion
Fun fact: I live about 10 minutes away from Analogman
Boost so far... Boost Period...
I don't understand the waiting period everyone is talking about. I ordered the KOT 2 months ago and it arrived 9 days later.
Wow really?! Did you buy direct from Analogman?
@@JacksonBrooksby Lol. Sorry man. I was high when I wrote that. I'm on the waiting list like everyone else.
Great demo. However, I wanna look at the pedal not you playing ;)
or you could simply just buy one from
Reverb .... why to wait so long ? pff
Because the prices on reverb are completely unreasonable.
