One point in history nearly every man on the planet would tell you this is wrong no matter the age gap. But one point in time a lot of men would say that’s fine, THEY want those times to come back. 😊

If someone could have been the one that have a different approach to this matter, it would be you man. I respect you as a human, you speak truth, but I truly think you are judging way to easy and way to fast. There are so many questions that you, as a ‘friend’ can ask. Did he know she was a minor? What was inappropriate? Calling her names? Was it flirty? Did she make jokes and did he laugh and commented? Did he make business proposals. Everything Doc tweeted on this is open for so many interpretations.. Let me say this Nick, with all respect for you again, if you ever have an extremely difficult time in your life, the last thing you want is that friends start judging you.. you hope friends will ask questions, be there and maybe , maybe if it is really offending them in a moral way, they can judge.. Hope you can be this voice man, Doc and this toxic social media can use it. With love to you and Tim (and yes Tim for you all the same of the above)
He probably has already... you have to understand Doc understands what's at stake for these guys. Besides, Doc probably doesn't want a million questions from several "friends" during a low point.
I don't think you understand how an NDA works. You can't just discuss things that you've signed an NDA for because someone is your friend or family. You are literally not allowed to discuss it. Period. Why would Nick go down with Doc's sinking ship? Doc's the captain, he should go down. It makes perfect sense for Nick to jump ship and save himself.
The thing with doc, he said in the tweet that there were messages with a minor. He didn’t say he knew at the time they were a minor, or if he learned that information later on. There’s absolutely no way of knowing for sure. I’m not defending at all I’m just saying he didn’t say he knew at the time of the messages he was talking to a minor. However, he should have never even been messaging ANYONE, given the fact he’s married and had already been caught cheating before. So at the end of the day there is no excuse for doc. The emotional part of me wants to forgive him and just say that it was an accident or that he was lonely and he had a moment of weakness. The logical part of me is discusted. Personally her being a minor doesn’t mean much to me. If a 17 year old wants to date a 23 year old for example, I don’t find too much of a problem with that…. It’s kinda weird but I could let that slide. That would be like the MAX age gap I could let slide. It’s the fact that he was almost 40 doing that with a 17 year old. With a kids and wife to make matters worse. Age of consent differs from country to country and state to state, so it doesn’t mean much. It has more to do with maturity level and just overall life experience than a number on paper…. At his age he should be disgusted with the thought of wanting to have relations with somebody who is of her maturity level
This is getting way blown out of proportion. If whispering another human on Twitch (that happens to be a minor) IS a crime, then I'm sure there's many people guilty of this. As far as I'm concerned NOBODY has a right to chime in unless they've seen the messages. They'll probably never be released since Doc was found not guilty of any wrongdoing. This really reminds me of when a girl falsely accuses someone of SA'ing them and the man's reputation is just RUINED even when the truth comes out. And for everyone who mindlessly throws around that p3d0 word when they don't even know what it means, educate yourself. Everything we hear regarding this topic is all just speculation and guessing, without the messages nobody knows anything. Doc did make a post where he said it's all essentially misconstrued and that there was never ANY intentionality. There were no plans to meet up with the person or anything like how random, irrelevant ppl who haven't seen the messages are trying to spin it.
Intentions or not he was still knowingly messaging a minor inappropriately which he knew was wrong. Not a crime maybe but morally wrong and people will make their own minds up on that but to me that’s him also cheating on his wife 🙄

I don’t know why anybody is bummed that Doc did this? People make mistakes, he didn’t do anything illegal, and he caught himself before any real bad things happened. It’s just unfortunate that it was online and it was documented.
My guess is when twitch found out 3 years later or knew the whole time that they didn’t want to be part of the controversy. These companies care about profits, and I’m sure if it came out that twitch didn’t do anything for 3 years it would’ve looked really bad for them in 2020.
OK but why pay him off if he did something illegal? That's the part I don't get. I'd assume contracts would be null and void at that point. And then it went to legal battle and doc won and got.paid... that's where I'm getting confused in all this

A girl can have a baby from any where from puberty which is approx 12 years old. Its true why the body begins periods for girls to say its ready to produce. We as a nation put laws in place to protect vulnerable people. Some are 12. Some are 16. And some are 18 years old. Depends on what country your born in depends on who can u talk to. If it was a 12 year old or below under 16 then yes your more praying on the vulnerable. But we are all programmed into what is right and wrong and what is a minior and what isnt. I keep seeing this so I'll try to answer this simply, there has been no charges or legal issues bc if the story is correct, this girl was 17. Which is technically of legal age in most of the US, If no pics were exchanged that makes it LEGAL, but lightyears away from MORAL and 100% cause for him to be canceled at least.

But I don’t think anyone can say definitively he knew at the time he was messaging a minor or if that info was given to him after the banning.
If you're defending doc after he admitted it your the same as doc sitting at home gripping to minors wow smfh

The emotional part of me wants to forgive him and just say that it was an accident or that he was lonely and he had a moment of weakness.

I love the Doc
But If he didn't know the age , He would've definitely wrote it on his statement... it's just disgusting
How does this video result in a twitch ban?
Go back and read Docs post!!! He didn’t break the law! Again if he was found of a major wrong doing, why did he still get paid???!🤔
Worst hill to die on. 35 year old man with a wife and kids talks to minor about sexual stuff then tries to meet up with that child at twitchcon ......
He made plans to meet up with a child for sex at twitch com. He admitted to it.
Intentions or not he was still knowingly messaging a minor inappropriately which he knew was wrong. Not a crime maybe but morally wrong and people will make their own minds up on that but to me that’s him also cheating on his wife 🙄
He knew the age bruh. There's no defending sexting minors.
@@ashitaka8633 Was it confirmed to be sexual? I've never seen that confirmed, but once again it's what people are ASSUMING. This is all still speculation, we're yet to see the messages or get any explicit answers. But, by all means, feel free to keep making assumptions, that's what most people are doing.

What I don't understand is this...As of April 2021, of the total fifty U.S. states, approximately thirty have an age of consent of 16 (with this being the most common age of consent in the country), a handful set the age of consent at 17, and in about eleven states the age is 18.
And this girl was 17 right??
She was legally considered a minor. If I had a daughter people like you are who we’d need to worry about.
The age is unknown, the whole 17 is a rumor and Doc lives in California.
Where did the fact she was 17 come from. We don't even know if the minor was male or female
even if she was 18 that’s still creepy as fuck, he’s 42 years old. 18 year olds are adults according to the law, but if you’ve ever met an 18 year old you’d know they are far from adults mentally.
@@littlemissblonde1231 and I'm sure a 19 year old is so much mature..it's not a question of morality. It's whether or not he was preying in someone to be considered a child. Why would twitch pay him out and not press legal matters further on him IF he knew?
Like if he broke the law and they had definitive proof, I feel like he would have been in jail years ago
They pretty much just settled so they didn't have a bunch of backlash. It's pretty common for major companies to do that
My guess is when twitch found out 3 years later or knew the whole time that they didn’t want to be part of the controversy. Instead of making a public statement they paid doc off and had him sign an NDA and swept it under the rug. Rather than just tell the truth.

Me and my partner had a baby at 17 years old. And here you all are hanging a guy for talking to a 17 years old.
According to Twitch, the girl was 17, so old enough to consent. They also nevrr planned to meet up, and it wasn't overtly sexual. It was flirting engaged by the female. If people have issues with the age of consent, change the laws. This should be between him and his wife. People acting like this girl was 12.
