Coming from a novice angler trying to get back into the hobby, the direction that you guys are going in sounds excellent. I look forward to learning along with you guys in this ice season!
your tip that day got me on 60 to 80 bluegill crappie mix. I even caught a 30 inch pike. negative degrees is tough..i used the tungsen fly and plastic and started to catch big bulls. thanks for the tips and keep it coming guys
Although I was not one of the subscribers questioned about features and possible improvements to your show, I am in complete agreement with the changes you have selected. I am personally excited to receive topographic map instruction from the pros to assist all the viewers with identifying fish locations. Moreover, I believe it will serve as beneficial to all viewers to be able to identify an inside turn or a bar and narrows on a lake map so they can apply this knowledge to their own area lakes. I am also eagerly awaiting your new inside tips for ice electronics. I know my LX7 is providing a plethora of information I am not extrapolating simply because I am not familiar with how the color display identifies bottom content. Thank you for coming to the fans to take my favorite ice fishing show to a new level previous unimagined. Merry Christmas and thank you for all the hard work in bringing us this wonderful programming!
this is awesome!!! i dont rly have time to watch you guys fish for 28 minutes so quick tips more often will help me much more. I am a beginner ice fisherman and went out yesterday and only caught one in 5 hours. I need help to catch fish without any electronics or live bait. if that's possible.
Excellent show IDO - this is a great episode that helps us figure out how we can get the best out of a tough bite. A bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work!
I'm fairly new to the show and just wanted to say I really enjoy it and think it's great that you listen to your fans like this. Cheers from Northern BC.
Since your always in Minnesota you should go up to Orr and fish pelican lake they have giant bluegills when you walk into the cafe you see over 1lbs bluegills on the wall.
You guys are the best! Top notch production already and with the new format and more details it cant be any better. Come more often to Canada, especially to Southern and Central Ontario!
Wow, glad to see you guys on the fish. I just checked ice conditions out where im at and have around 4in as well. Hope to get out soon and get some on ice.
Great show James and Cal! The new segments are certainly going to prove a great addition and the inaugural demonstration of the "mapping mindset" that went into the gameplan to target those fish was certainly helpful! Looking forward to learning more. Even though more of those big bulls didn't make it topside, it was nice to see you guys put a true show together in such tough conditions. Much respect for putting out the fact that it's NOT always easy!
lake john in walden colorado is a great large trout fishing lake with crystal clear water i would love to see you guys make a show up there and would be very excited to fish with you please let me know if you decide to come up
ive been using the tungsten fly the last 6 days with the snow and cold and its been working , i have the white bead with glow and not tipping it with anything and barley jiggin it
love the vids keep them coming. I've been a fan for 3 years and I like using your tips on how to lactate the fish and find out what to use to catch them.
why do you change camera angles so much? half the time you're not even looking at the camera... weird I think to have someone talking to me while looking away. just my opinion. outstanding show guys! love the new changes.
I tried telling you guys last year don't be talking smack about Farm Pond bluegills... Farm Pond woohoo. Bring Joel Nelson I know he loves them huge gills and it's only like a half hour from Austin buddy.
If you haven't tried yet, put coat of clear nail polish on the vmc fly, they last about 20 fish before they fall appart. Never buying again, pretty disappointed in the quality. I found something similar for less money.
plenty of room for 6 people, for that size hole, for a 36X36 inch ice shanty....couple cases of beer, some cement galoshes.... and a couple of vhs camera's so you can tape the festivities....
just waiting for the time u guys figure out the size of the bluegills in nd u guys avoid nd and im not talking devils lake I never fish that waste of time lake nd has the number 4 best bluegill lake in the country and the best walleye fishing besides the rainy and lake of the woods been watching for years great show guys just come to nd!

I'm a big fan of the new topics you will be discussing each week.
Appreciate the ice action follows. How about upper red lake the 28th through 30th?

My favorite part of the week

That's one heck of an ICE SCOOP on your right side (Yellow Color)!!!
Even though bite looked tough we all have been there. Enjoyed the show and like the tungsten fly also that TUCR looks great for light bitters.
Love the new format! Hearing how you guys break down a lake and go to plan B or C when plan A doesn't work is invaluable.
Be positive still a good cold front fish better than being skunked!🎣
Wow that studio is NICE! Boys yall are doing great job!
I do like and appreciate the IDO Insights. Thank you.
Can't wait to see the new episodes. I'd love to see more of how you guys decide where to fish on a lake.
TheSaneRider same
I was going to get out yesterday but I had a hockey tournament.
You guys are the best! Top notch production already and with the new format and more details it cant be any better.

Love you guys! Thank you for all the hard work, it really shows. Thanks!
you guys should do a mini clip in the video where you showcase the spot and say why it's good. and yes you did say why this spot was good.
We've got some nice trout here where I'm at you guys need to fish them browns and rainbows
Where are you? I just started a channel out of Michigan. If you like catching Largemouth, Smallmouth, Pike and Walleye, you should check it out.
You guys should fish lake Minnetonka

I tried telling you guys last year don't be talking smack about Farm Pond bluegills... Farm Pond woohoo. Bring Joel Nelson I know he loves them huge gills and it's only like a half hour from Austin buddy.
When the bite's lite, I fish tungsten flies without bait. More and bigger fish.
You guys forget the chairs? Lol
If you haven't tried yet, put coat of clear nail polish on the vmc fly, they last about 20 fish before they fall appart.
Never buying again, pretty disappointed in the quality. I found something similar for less money.
James what reel did you use?
what do you guys use to keep your reels on?
Try hockey tape. It comes in different colors to match your set-up. I've had good luck.
Electrical tape. Simple. Cheap. Effective.
Would you recommend a 32 or 34inch for hole hopping and fishing in a shelter.
plenty of room for 6 people, for that size hole, for a 36X36 inch ice shanty....couple cases of beer, some cement galoshes.... and a couple of vhs camera's so you can tape the festivities....

Freeze Erie! !!!!!!
You should go to Crosby MN and fish the mine pits
Not sure how the thick the ice is, they just froze over this weekend
Think the trout season opens in January
too much advertising and not enough fishing- so I choose not too subscribe.
It's a TV show
why do you change camera angles so much? half the time you're not even looking at the camera... weird I think to have someone talking to me while looking away. just my opinion. outstanding show guys! love the new changes.
