My vet is the same way, you don’t know the price of vaccines or anything until you get the bill at the end. Luckily that’s what sinking funds are for!

Thanks for sharing! How do you track your spending throughout the month? Or do you just add it all up at the end of the month and put it in the spreadsheet before reviewing?

I use my credit card app since I put all personal spending on a Chase Sapphire Preferred card! The app then sections up all my expenses and I copy it over to the spreadsheet.

I will ask for the cost of each vaccine (and the cost of sharps disposal) when I book my appointment over the phone and say “I like to be fully prepared for the upcoming appointment” lol.
