Facts! Until DIY came out I’ve been using all the Optimum products HE! Created. Yes that’s right Yvan created all the Optimum products and gave a guy with a Dr. in front of his name all the credit. DIY is built upon all his success & failures. Seriously why would anyone buy anything else??
@@Greg_P611 I still use Opti-clean as my go to Waterless Wash thanks to Yvan. I switched from ONR to DIY Rinseless as I prefer a rinseless that foams (longer dwell time and easier to see where you've worked)

Speaking of Hercules, have you ever tried their forced rotation polisher? I was curious about it but it released right around the time I got really sick and I’m just barely getting to the point where I can consider getting back into the swing of things.
On that note, I also just wanna give my red hot smokin wife Brier a huge shoutout for saving my life, getting me a liver transplant, and not only taking care of me and Andy, but working her ass off as the sole provider of our home while I’m recovering.

I think there is a pad brake on that sander that you might want to take off to help maintain rotation.
Gotta keep an eye out for when they get 3" red jeweling pads. There is a 6mm orbit adapter for the PXE-80 that might be a good option for this application.

Why would you need the 6mm when the Flex comes with the 3mm already?
@@tpddetailscrthe 3mm orbit is primarily intended for sanding with the 1" attachment. It tends to stall when used with a 3" backing plate whether used with sandpaper or a polishing pad. The 6mm orbit was requested by Mike Phillips to have as a more precise sanding option for the 3" backing plate that wouldn't stall.
Yes red 3 inch pads are on order. A 3 inch machine would take a long time to do a car though.

That packaging is sharp! That really imparts an image of being a top quality coating and the other companion products! $300!!!!!! OUCH! That coating better be one of the best one the market today! WHEW! That's up there in the Kamikaze range of money for a coating. 6 years is a great coating if does last that long. All those steps for a proper application is definitely left to the Pro's to install. That is very interesting with the short stroke sander in order to prepare the paint with that . That would be a useful tool for applying waxes and sealants also! You could whip around a car in no time with that little cordless tool. How is the vibration on that thing? At such a high speed of revolution it sounded like it might have a lot of vibration. Is that APP a bonding agent? I heard you say adhesion after using APP.? Can you use a different coating, wax, or sealant after using APP? Meaning, I use APP on my car, can I put a sealant or Si02 spray coating over the top of APP? Would APP help cure or bond with any other coating, sealant, spray Si02 coating, or wax? Or is it only for DIY Details specific coating? That seems like a little too much for an enthusiast, although a lot of enthusiasts would feel comfortable installing that pro coating. I still use a high quality sealant myself (Polishangel Viking Coat). Viking coat is too expensive for sure, but it is so easy to install and it lasted me a year last time, but that was with a monthly or twice monthly topper such as Nova Jet or Lustre or Griot's 3 in 1 Ceramic Spray Wax. Crazy hydrophobics though and superior gloss, especially if you pair it with Viking Spritz, which is the accompanying maintenance spray coating. I guess I can't complain about Ivan's $300 coating, because I am near that amount anyway with the Polishangel Viking Coat and Spritz combo. They call it Viking "Coat" but I don't think it's a true high solids ceramic coating, it's really a super sealant on steroids so to speak that's actually pretty close to a coating and it applies exactly like a wax or sealant which is nice because it's highly user friendly with no worries of high spots and things like that. It's an Si02 with a bunch of their proprietary ingredients. My car is a garage queen so it's not out in the weather or elements very often. Nice video Jamie as always. Lots to unpack here. The C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) isn’t an additional step, it replaces the panel prep step. It doesn’t take any longer to do, and gives you more consistent results.

Yes $300 is a premium price, not for everyone, but you get performance to back it up. You will not need to use toppers to achieve durability, but if you do it will last much longer.
i think you still win you get two vehicles out of 1 bottle. $150 cost per use for a 6 year.

It is a random orbital, anything with a 9mm or less stroke will work

Looks like a breeze for application, especially in a warm/humid environment. Are the Lite coatings safe on all exterior trim/glass/rubber, etc? Anything we should avoid with it coming in contact with on the vehicle? Excellent video man!

What’s the difference between Hydro Pro and Hydro Lite other than lifetime vs 6 year? Better hydrophobic or better gloss in the pro? Or is just the durability? Thanks!
Second question! I heard Yvan say you can get 30 cars out of the APP. If lite is designed for the prosumer I don’t think they need that much APP. Any plans to offer a smaller consumer version of APP given the APP is almost $40? I’d hate to waste the product if it’s only being used once. A 100ml perhaps?
Yvan did say a high spot and you will be polishing the whole panel

Hydro lite uses a different carrier solvent to make installation easier. It also has a lower concentration of Refined Detonated Nano Diamonds to allow us to sell it at this price.
The original intended audience for C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) was only pro’s the C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite wasn’t in our original plans, but we had enough demand that we decided to release it. In the near future a smaller bottle of C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) will be available.
