We Holiday in Turkey for the past 20 years, will be returning next year after watching your Videos, Turkey inflation is at over 400 % so prices are now on a par with Britain. Half Board is the way to go in Cyprus, we will be returning , June, July or August 2024, Thanks for Inspiring Us Kevin.
This might sound strange but I can smell Cyprus through your video. It has a certain smell, I find, especially in the summer. It's my favourite place in the world and I am having serious withdrawals. Are you enjoying your stay? Lovely beaches! Enjoy!
Yep, as soon as them doors open at lca you smell it don't you? Especially when it's hot, i love that smell, not smelt it anywhere else before which is strange 😂

I love protaras its my favourite place. Ive stayed 4 times in protaras and stayed in Ayia napa last October. I didn't enjoy Ayia napa as much because everything seemed so much more spread out. Went in the bus for a couple of afternoons in protaras and watched football on a Sunday afternoon their and everything is so much more relaxed. Also as you said in one video its more compact and everything is close by and the beach is the best ive seen.

You asked on this video what was up the other way from Protaras beach...it's a coastal path leadingvto a smaller resort called Pernera. Nice for a wee wander one night. The other direction takes you down to Fig Tree Bay. Hope you enjoy the nightlife in Protaras.
Great video Kev. Keep walking left you can walk all the way along the promenade plenty of lovely restaurants bars beaches. Cocoa beach bar is lovely of an evening (a little pricey but definitely worth it) enjoy!

Hi Kevin, People in Cyprus are so honest and laid back. When returning a hire car to the Airport, i was told- Leave it anywhere we will find it!!!! wonderful people.
Love Protaras, plenty of Sports bars for you to choose from. Fools and Horses was a good one to watch the football, reasonable food and beer and good service
Brilliant holiday location Kev,if you keep walking left there's a few bars to stop at eventually taking you to the marina at the side of The Golden Coast hotel in Pernera,give the Sphinx a visit mate good entertainment at night,was looking to return in June for a week but the flights dont suit my time off
Hi kevin when looking at the sea go left along the boardwalk to the next small resort Penera and follow the costal path as there are many hotels and lovely coves along that way as they are worth a look
Sunbed pricing is set by the government at 2.50 for each bed/umbrella. If you walk with the sea on your left you will eventually reach Ayia Napa (and they are extending it to meet Larnaca and then Limassol. If you walk the opposite way you will get to Pernera (a smaller and quieter version of Protaras) Then up to the border and the abandoned town of Varosha.
Loving the Cyprus videos again please. Paphos Old Town is lovely. Protaras is our favourite though. Lots of places within walking distance. Also car hire cheapest in Europe apparently 👍😎
The promenade goes for miles and they are still adding more to it and they’re building up the new marina too. I’m sure you can walk all the way along into aiya napa if you continue right
Walkway stops at Fig Tree Bay.....Ayia Napa would be several hours walk on main road....NOBODY does that..!!...The Marina under construction at the other end of Walkway beyond Pernera Bay....long long walk from Fig Tree...!!!..Been every year since 1999 ... Roll on September...!!!!

Stayed in the Capo bay hotel which is very good but the King Jason is THE best hotel ..absolutely incredible service from the staff. VERY highly recommended in Fig Tree Bay.
I've watched Protaras develop from nothing in the 1970's to the overdeveloped sprawl it now is. Today I prefer the Area north of Pathos but sadly it is going the same way. If you like the Mediterrean climate maybe Malta is a better option.

When I was there, I stayed in the Vrissiana Beach Hotel. I really enjoyed Protaras.
