I do like how in the DCU they just establish that different meta-humans are already established and a commonality in this universe without the need to explain what they are or how they came to be where there is already multiple different meta-humans out there as either heroes, villains or just average Joe's out there that are in the middle. I also appreciate how Nina was the first one to attack the guy since she's said she's never killed anyone and while she may seem like a liability she's still brave and not entirely useless
I’m curious if they’re going to eventually establish the meta-gene concept as being the reason why things that should have otherwise killed a normal person gives them superpowers instead like with Dr Phosphorus.
TBF, metahumans (that is, humans with nonmagical superpowers) actually pretty much almost all have a common origin in DC Comics, the meta-gene (which is something all humans have, but usually expresses itself rarely); Young Justice (especially season 3) has probably the easiest to digest explanation of the concept. Dr Phosphorus is definitely a metahuman (and therefore actually still human), but was likely classified as nonhuman due to his freakish appearance and/or powers.
It’s interesting because the Bride was created (with electricity) for the purposes of being a sexual object for men. Here, the Bride is fighting against a man who wants to use women as objects, and he uses electricity to do so. It’s like she’s symbolically rebelling against the supposed purpose of her creation.
there's something so fun about showing a person their still-beating heart. Like they have to sit there for just a second thinking "maybe she'll put it back?"

The bride must have ended up on Mortal Kombat for these skills of hers.In short, you saw how he did away with those vomit and seconds, that is, the bad luck struck by lightning and the bride broke an arm and pierced the chest crushing the heart, that is a real force.
Wow, a madam who actually does not tolerate abuse to her ladies. Plus stood up to the abuser. Good on Bride for removing two scumbags from existence. Nina tried, so she gets a gold star.⭐️
Two ways I read that: 1) Dude managed to land a cheap shot, but once she recovered, she was able to take control of the fight. Or 2) More thematically, the Bride is showing the dude that this is one woman he can't push around using violence and intimidation. Usually, one punch is all he needs to threaten people into submission, but not this time. His usual abusive tactics don't work on the Bride, and now he has to actually put his money where his mouth is. Once he's put into a fair fight, he's revealed as a coward.
I seriously doubt the madam is acting out of kindness. Hitting the girls leaves a mark, perhaps permanently. That would decrease their earning potential.
They are pretty damn cocky about their ability to do horrible things with impunity for dudes who aren't even bullet proof. Do they not know how many Soviet surplus firearms are floating around in countries like that? Should have stayed in Ireland, boys.
It's like the mutants in Marvel, powers can range from magneto to something like Toad. Besides this 2 dudes are pathetic pieces of shit. Their low tier powers just prove they only mess with people that can't fight back
@ I mean meta humans who have powers that are combat applicable. I understand that most meta humans are like mutants in marvel. Just random shit like the girl who shit ice cream. But for meta humans that have electrokinesis usually they are more durable. Though they are just common meta human thugs who have most likely only used their powers on civilians or for intimidation purposes
Believe it or not, MGR didnt invent ripping out people’s hearts and showing it to em Hell, way back when hxh not only did this but had the assassin who did it put the heart in a little baggie before the victim even realized what was happening
Who will win in a fight? A woman who’s been alive for god knows how long, been on the run from a man she doesn’t want, made from multiple body parts and brought to life via electricity. Her friend, who can breathe underwater, knows when to step in, has a heart as big as her helmet, quiet but still knowing when to step in and call shit out. Or two metahumans? Ah you watched the video you know what’s up
The Bride and Madam Gyurov are no angels, but they're honest in their own ways. Don't rock the house, respect them, follow their rules if you're in their business and everything will be fine.
Only thing I didn’t like was that any time there is an abusive alcohol sociopath in dc they give them an Irish accent. Just pushes an irritating stereotype.

i love that he tried to punch her multiple times and bride just deflected all the hits like they were nothing. very satisfying.
Also she did not need to deflect him, nor did she have to allow him many swings at her. She just played wtih him.
