  • Have you ever wondered about the surfers that dare to ride the really big waves? How do those waves form, who are the men and women who attempt them and where do they find them? This week we answer those questions as we explore the Portugues coastal town of Nazare, home to the largest waves ever surfed. We take a day to explore the town and the surf museum before reprovisioning Gargoyle in this very popular tourist destination.

I remember visiting Portugal in the 70's as a kid... I remember the big waves and the AWFUL smell of bbq'd sardines...haunts me to this day😅

Not much has changed then as big waves and fish rule. And tourists, oh the tourists! But still quite the beautiful country. Thanks for watching.
