I lubed everything that moves on mine and the ferris wheel is still jerky. I think its the type of rubber the belts made of. It stretches a bit and releases causing it to be twitchy. I might look for something to replace it.
Okay, good to know it isn't just me. It's odd because it is the same material as on the bigger ferris wheel I built, and that works fine, must be some difference in the torque.
I’m noticing that mine is slipping pretty badly with that and there was another commenter that had the same issue, the only solution I can come up with would be to replace the included rubber band with a less slippery one, but I can’t really think of a viable replacement.
Funny u say that. I just built this yesterday and it was my very first build like this and I thought I was supposed to wax those parts so I did but mine runs smoothly. Turned out really nice and was way easier than I thought it would be. It didn't take very long at all, I was surprised.
It’s the elastic slipping

Used a slightly wider elastic band more traction
That’s what we decided in the comments section, I was going to try a thicker o-ring if I ever dig back into it, thanks for the verification!
For some reason my rubber bands just won’t rotate around the axis:/ any recommendations?

I must have gotten a bad one most of my piece broke.
That stinks, hopefully you can return it of get with rolife for some replacement parts.
be careful not to get vaseline or wax on the rubber band rollers
Always a good tip!
