Hi, thanks for stopping by, I build things here: mainly little models, marble runs, and anything else that might fit in that category, or that just catches my eye, I post daily and I generally aim to keep my videos in the 45-60 minute range and hopefully they are informative as well as entertaining. Anyways, thanks for reading, feel free to leave a comment or question in any of the comments sections and I'll try and get back with you.
You’ll also occasionally see shorts featuring my pets, I think I’ll try to post these on Saturday, they aren’t trained or really do any tricks…but we still manage to have some fun, and look cute to boot.

R.Duck Locomotive Works Build (3k Subscriber Special)-Final Day
First of all, thanks to each and every one of you, I never thought I'd get this many subscribers, and I'm really appreciative that you enjoy spending time with me as I do my (sometimes) silly little builds.
As for my 3k project and how it came to beI believe when I was asking for suggestions for my 2k build special someone mentioned these folks to me in the comments, I always kept them in the back of my mind for the next build when I was getting closer to the time I reached out to them to make sure they'd be cool with me using their product in one of my videos, they were enthusiastic, and here we are, I think this is going to be a long build, but I also think we'll make good progress once ...

What can I say? You can't go wrong with a ROKR set! I'll be honest though, I got a discount for buying this one with the Viking Ship, I did want them both so it seems everyone wins! Here's the link if you're interested: a.co/d/bPMonDe

Magic Library Book Nook Build-Part 10
I know you have your hands full right now, but I stumbled upon this book nook and immediately thought of you. It's called (Beyond Library Max). Sorry in advance bud lol 🤣
Myquestion is; Do the wings on the map pieces go into the 2 adjacent slots or does the center part get pushed into one of the slots ?
If I'm reading you right, the wings go into the slots, the center sort of floats. Hope that helped.
Can you look into doing the ROKR Romantic Note Wall Clock sometime in the near future? Please and Thank You.
I certainly can, I'll add it to my list, but it will probably be late November of early December before I get to it, it does look pretty cool with the counterweight mechanism, that'll be a new one for me.
@@Dbuilderguy ty for the reply and ty for considering the one I want to try and do
What a beautiful piece this is turning out to be, I love the antique brownish color too If you had round tracks I envision this piece under an old fashioned Christmas tree 🎄
Well, you'd have to have a much bigger tree than I do, but it would be cool! 😂
Good session today Daniel, and your right ,the parts seam to fit together really well 👍
I’ve decided that I’m so used to the pressure fitting kits that the fact that the glued pieces go together so easily is why I’m so amazed by how they fit. 🤔
I'm the one who suggested that you look at their stuff. That's why I am enjoying watching this one so much.
Nice! You’re not the only one, this has been a pretty popular series. 👍
Oh thank goodness I found you! Those wires at the end were killing me 😅.Now I finally have a direction and confidence it's going to work 😊
All those wires going everywhere can be a bit daunting, really the hardest part for me is figuring out which ones are grey and which ones are white…they could have used a bit more variety in their insulation choice. 😂
@Dbuilderguy EXACTLY! The white not going on white got me multiple times. This was not a good pick for a first choice building book nooks! 🤣
That was definitely an advanced one! Even with experience I’m still gun shy about that type…although I do have one coming up for Christmas again this year. 😂
@@Dbuilderguy I'll subscribe and look forward to it!
Impressed with you, keep it up!
Thank you!
It's a gorgeous locomotive for a good celebration. I am taking very good interest on Diamond Painting. Did you try that hobby?.
I tried a few, results are awesome, but it's a really slow process.
@@Dbuilderguy Exactly. I cover the all canvas on little squares of parchment paper and remove only the square i am working on. So it feels an accomplishment when finishing 1 and move to the next square.
Looking really good now 👌
It's amazing how putting together a few pieces makes the whole thing just appear, isn't it?
Now it’s taking shape, very impressive! My dad worked for the railroad, l am sure he would love this.
It seems like these models are a real passion project for the guy who makes them, I think he really cares about making a good product.
How to get the lights pj
Bravo on your work today 🙌 I’m laughing to myself because the last video I watched you build basically fit in the palm of your hand, now this one is longer than your arm 😊
For real! I knew it was a larger scale, but I just didn't process how much larger it was. 😂
Thankfully the engine came out easily. I've noticed items can sometimes creep a little while drying when using 7100. The stuff is like an entity all unto itself. 🤣
I'm pretty sure I moved it when I set it aside, it was a bit of an awkward angle, although I'm happy to blame the glue! 😂
Now what id really want are the laser files, or some drawings so I can cut my own on my 40w CO2 setup.
It’s looking really nice! Good job!
Thank you!
I'm really enjoying this one!
It’s a good one, for sure! I’m enjoying all the little details on this big model!
Please don’t feel you have to talk to us while you’re building and concentrating, sometimes silence is golden (at least that’s how I feel when I’m working on my projects) awesome job today btw ❤
I don’t think I have to talk, but I feel like I should say something every now and then, just to be polite. 😂
The GP9 is a Diesel electric so the gauges would be for Volts and Amps from the generators and alternators. What you were building is a 32 valve engine to produce the electric power to move the locomotive which would pull the train and since the trains are so long depending on the length and weight they would more locomotives either in the front middle (known as Distributed Power Unit) or the end (pushers) these additional units are remotely controlled by the engineer in the front loco
Okay, that makes sense, thanks for the info!
This series was excellent! Thank you! I ordered this kit for a part of a special crafting video I'm working on for December. With your permission, I'll link your channel and playlist like I did with the Magic Library Book Nook. Did you watch my video where I talked about your channel?
I will now.
Very impressive build today, nice looking engine ,and controls, you dogs sound like mine ,always got to have the last word
You got that right, they have to answer every bark they hear, although they are getting on in years now and don't hear as well as they used to. 😂
Dang thats so cool! 👍
Thank you!
I think we’re gonna have to call this one “The Big Engine That Could” I know I can, I know I can …
For all the little details and intricacies of this one it is going together extremely smoothly, it's just going to be a matter of the time, lots of time! 😂
Great build! Thanks for the detailed process. The packet is standing in front of me and with your help it will be an easy way to build it.
Awesome, thank you! You can't go wrong with the Rolife book nooks, every one I've done has been really good!
Hiya. We did ours and dipped into your vid to help us figure out what went where - I’m so thankful to you for your vid. And I’m thrilled to say that ours sounds just as wonky as yours 😂 but loads of fun, a real talking point and another to add to our collection of 7 other models (2 machine guns, robot, projector, carousel, fairground ride and printing press) We love doing them on wet weekends and can sometimes take weeks to complete them, but we love the process, if a bit frustrating at times 😊 Now going to source our next challenge. All the best with yours! Julie & Tony, Scotland, UK
That's awesome, I really like the ROKR sets, they always seem to just work, thanks for watching!
Love the train build it's definitely going to be a monster build congrats on 3000subs👍.
Thank you, I'm amazed at how smoothly it's going, for a build of this scale and detail it's really pretty simple, just a matter of being patient.
Great progress today its starting to come together now ,
The fun stuff starts tonight, we've got the platform, time for the body!
I hope you will make the Holo Magic City (also with light and music) too.... Love you're vids
That's a big one...I'll put it on the list!
Just completed mine and it turned out perfect. Thank you for the step by step real time video's.
Glad it helped! I liked that one, I’m keeping my eyes open for more boxes/safes.
@@Dbuilderguy I like them to, wood tricks chest is my favorite so far, lots of moves to make before it will open.
That’s cool, I am looking for more of a “mystery box” type of build, that sounds like it might fit the bill.
@@Dbuilderguy if you get the chest from wood trick be sure to sand and wax every piece you're supposed to and it will work smooth. It's definitely my favorite, it takes about 11 steps to open it once assembled, you need a good memory as well, lol.
This is quite the intricate build. Very nice work the final outcome should be very nice!
We haven’t even got to the intricacies yet, wait until Sunday. 😂
Curious I just got mine. Besides tweazers is there anything else you think I should buy. This my very first one
I find my picks pretty useful (sort of like these: www.harborfreight.com/mini-pick-and-hook-set-63697.html?_br_psugg_q=pick, )and some mini pliers ( www.harborfreight.com/precision-pliers-set-3-piece-64566.html )if you need a better grip than the tweezers can provide. Otherwise, it's just a matter of trial and error experimentation to see what works best for you.
The final Loco should be 29" long according to the website
That seems right, I believe I’m about to add on those extra 3-4” tonight. 🤔
Thank you for making this. I almost got so frustrated that I wanted to fist pound the train into pieces when trying to get the wheels correct. The instructions could be a little more descriptive, for me at least. I will follow this when I get home from work. I wish I didn't have to leave right now!
You’re welcome, I hope it’s helpful. Good luck. 🍀
It seems to be out of beat
Entirely possible, I don’t think I ever got that pendulum properly balanced, it would run for several hours and then slowly fade.
@@Dbuilderguy that does make sense why
ROKR 3D Wooden Puzzle Carousel Model Building Kits Rotating 5-Horses Music Box Christmas Birthday Gift for Kids Girls Daughter so here is the description of the Wooden Puzzle i was trying to share The link but RUclips won't let me this is the 4th time im trying to leave a comment With this description actually your video and step by step instructions makes it super easy thank you for considering my request to make that Puzzle im supper existed 😊
No worries, I already have it.
I think the wheel assemblies are called "trucks". I am enjoying this one, for sure.
It is starting to dawn on me that when they tell you that their products have "museum quality details and features" you should plan on the build taking a bit longer. 😂
hey there! i have a question, do you happen to know how to replace the battery on the watch? i can't find any way to open it
If you take a small flathead screwdriver and push straight down on the seam at the back of the dial I got the back to pop off after a couple of tries, or if you have a local independent jewelry store they will usually change watch batteries out for you for a nominal fee.
not sure if it was caught and fixed in future videos or not. but the snail shell shaped gear at 21:33 was put on backwards. the dots should line up. in this position the hour ticks over on the 30 minute mark.
I don't remember, but I never got close to making it run for thirty minutes either, so it's possible I never noticed. 😂
Those clips for the wheels made all the difference! Great solution! Congratulations on your 3000 subscribers!😊
Thanks so much! 😊 It's amazing how much easier things are when you use the right tools for the job! 😂
Excellent progress today Daniel, it always takes a while to get used to different ways of doing things, those are called boggies, iam glad you are getting more views, you certainly deserve it
True, and these folks have really good pics to guide, but they do seem to leave how you assemble it up to you, which I like, and thank you!
Hello! I’d like to thank you for this video as I had almost the exact same set as this except I noticed you had a few pieces I didn’t have. Anyway, I have a question. I’m not sure if yours turned out sturdy but mine is almost pretty sturdy except for the four towers in the middle. I was wondering, if you have any recommendations for using a certain glue for it won’t fall off so easily. I was thinking of hot glue, but I’m not sure. Please let me know. Thanks!
It seems like my towers were a little wobbly, but they didn't seem like they would fall over or anything, if you wanted to glue them I'd say just about any glue would do, I don't think you'd need anything super strong. If you've been watching my videos, I tend to mix up my glue pretty regularly and they all seem to do the same job in the end. Good luck!
I'm still waiting for the rokr Merry-go-round Horse Musical Box and am super excited about it.
I was looking back through my content and realized it's been a while since I did a real music box, so once I finish up with the train (someday) I think it'll be next in the queue.
@Dbuilderguy oh my god thank you so so much
Congratulations on 3k🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for that, I've got the glue ready .😎
Daniel, there has got to be an easier way to do this with the wheels. That seems way too complicated. I hope you are able to come up with a more efficient way to do that. I'm just saying.
I have a plan...I was using the wrong tool. 😂
This looks like a major project. I hope it goes well for you. Good luck, my friend.
Thanks a bunch! It's much more detailed than I realized...I like it!
I've been wanting to get one of these kits for awhile, so this will be fun to watch. They have so many that I can't decide on which one.
I know, I like all the "classic" looking ones, but this more modern one really caught my eye.
Congratulations on making it to 3000 Your talent, patience and perseverance has definitely paid off and you deserve all the kudos 👏👏👏 I’ve certainly enjoyed watching
Thank you so much!
put all the rings on the axle then glue the outside ring into position with the overhang then glue the others to it
I can't get it to stabilize with just the one ring, that's why I'm ganging them together, I think I've got a better method figured out for the remaining wheels.
Congratulations on making it to 3000 your talent, patience and perseverance has paid off and you certainly deserve the kudos 👏👏👏
Hi , did you find it a bit fiddly at the back with the wires and the on off switch?
I think that thing was all fiddly, but I seem to recall breaking off pieces every time I tried to use the switch or change the batteries. 😂
